Totally agree. Her musicality is outstanding and ballet training and cultura of movement shine through each move. And last but not least, her beautiful feminine body produces exquisite lines.
I so wish they'd bring back the compulsories. They made gymnastics so much better artistically. Nowadays it's truck trick trick with hardly any elegance
I don't know if you agree, but I always loved Filatova's routine (78-81) as well, but Shaposh should be remembered for a lot more than an uneven bars transition skill.
And I just realized you put Elena Davydova's compulsory floor routine on here. What a find, and in high definition, no less. I can see how she might not have made floor finals now. Her turns were a little shaky compared with her compatriots. Still beautiful.
It's interesting that Jim McKay points out that all of the Americans on the 1972 Olympic team performed to "Summer Of '42". I remember that film from my 1970s childhood! I watched it on tv reruns. Memories.
Kierson Titus throughout the years they changed the music choice. In 1972 I know different countries chose different pieces of music, but everyone in 1976 used the same music. However, I haven’t been able to figure out the name of the song yet.
❤ Elvira Saadi's performance. She never puts a toe wrong let alone a foot. .There has never been a more artistic gymnast in the history of the sport.

Shaposh’s floor routine will always be one of the most masterpieces. She is right up there’s with Lilia...

Anche Teodora ungureanu era bravissima nelle sue performance

Thank you for this, your very right!
I’ve added some playlist categories, if you like old-school gymnastics, I have a “vintage gymnastics” category! Enjoy!
@@worldartgym Thanks! I'll be sure to check it out
Nelli Kim ❤
Fantastic footage!
The 1980 compulsory floor routine is my favorite of all the compulsory routines. Does anyone know the name of the music?
There’s actually three different kinds of compulsory music that 1980 moscow used as a way to not bore their audience.
I wish it was still about the artistry, its very boring to watch these days.
Do you know the 1976 music?
Not sure what it’s called... do you?
@@worldartgym Probably a rendition of soviet music
