My witchcraft was living in willing disobedience. Like this young woman, I grew up in church - had a man flirt with me in front of his wife and child - had another pastor hug me and put his hand near the lower side of my backside and squeeze it. I left church for 10 years, I was still a virgin until 25. I ended up fornicating, drugs, alcohol, cussing like a sailor, partying, fighting - catching a case. I was a hot funky mess. But I never stopped taking to God. I told him I wanted to do what I wanted to and he allowed me to do it. It ended up leaving me homeless and broken. My life since coming back to the Lord almost 2 years ago has totally transformed my life. I’m thankful the Lord has patience with me.

The enemy capitalizes on trauma ,pain, and hurt. This is why the bible tells us to guard our hearts, for it flows the issues of life. May our Lord Jesus heal our souls and transform us.
The church as a whole lacks a robust theology of inner healing, that's why so many people are tempted to run outside of church to seek answers for some of their enduring struggles and deep seated issues. Traditional Christian theology is great about identifying sin and the cross and the path to reconciliation with God through Christ, but we don't talk about how dysfunctions from childhood and the pains of life can shape our self-image and desires until the day we die and that reading your bible and praying every day doesn't just eliminate the issues unless you have a framework for exposing them so God's love and power can heal them. We use the term generational curses but don't talk about how generational sin, trauma and dysfunction impact our faith, capacity to experience happiness and joy, as well as our daily lives and relationships. it's not only your past, but the past of your parents and their parents that can add weights to your spirit. Thankfully frameworks for inner healing are gaining momentum in Christian circles but it's still only small pockets. Please google Christian inner healing, walking through this process can drastically change your life - freeing you up to receive the pure light, love and power and presence of God.

I think we have too many options to try outside of God. When people want immediate answers from God concerning their situation, they immediately jump to the conclusion that God isn't real.
@carlicee you're absolutely right!! For some reason, people haven't grasped the fact that things don't happen on their timing, but on God's timing. God will never give us anything prematurely. So if we are praying for something that God feels we are not ready to have yet He will not allow it to happen until he KNOWS that we are ready.
When people never had a true relationship with Christ from the beginning. It's about RE LA TION SHIP!
I could tell she had a hard time completely explaining/articulating her experience. However the host did a great job asking questions 💕it’s so easy to get sucked into everything she spoke about. You really have to be careful who is in your ear and not drifting from God.
I don’t think she had a hard time explaining. I think she was trying to be careful on how much she shares. I believe she was scattering through her thoughts to not be judged.

Yes she does! It found me right on time--in a time of need. The Lord is so mindful of his children, and he is always warning and informing us of his presence and of his power. Stephanie is definitely an annointed vessel.
Sadly this is what happens when we idolize the children of God and never connect with Him for ourself. It's terrible that her encounters with the children caused her turn from the Father.
Say it again. I struggled with this for a long time and then I realized that we humans are not perfect and God is the ultimate standard. I have learnt that when we put humans on pedestals and they fail our faith (which should be in God alone) is shattered.
I pray that my future husband is being filled with the wisdom of God while he is waiting and searching for me. Great show 😊

She made a great point. I believe people go “truth seeking” when they are raised in a environment when people they are suppose to trust and look up to , aren’t living a righteous life. Church hurt is REAL. IDC how deep in the WORD we are, hurt and trauma can overtake you. Disappointment is real. Some of the disciples that walked with Jesus denied him, betrayed him and needed proof he was alive again. I'm so thankful that God knows us inside and out and is so patient to love us through all of our mess. God is so good y'all!

Recently, a friend told me she now practices African Ancestral Spirituality (ATR). I continue to pray for her and her daughters. I believe some highly intelligent people like my friend don't believe that Jesus is enough, they think it's got be this "deep quest" The Good News is BEAUTIFUL and simplicity, meaning: believe, build a relationship with Christ, obey/follow because of love from and for him.
This is why it’s so important to study/read the word for ourselves and to really seek the Lords face. We have all put the responsibility on the church to teach us and they have not taught us anything but how to have prosperity meanwhile we lack knowledge on spiritual warfare, demonic covenants,etc.
Oh no. Please keep praying for her to get out of that. I experienced it for 7 years. The amount of evil committed in that is disgusting and disturbing.

I dabbled in new age spirituality some years ago and I thank God for making me a nosey person and really seeking truth. I started digging into the roots of where this stuff comes from and quickly burned every new age book I had.
I've found that for me as a Christian, I may have grown up in church but I never really knew Jesus for myself. I heard bible verses but I didn't read the bible to look for who God is. I read pieces of it to look for what I wanted. And most importantly, I wasn't really taught the authority of Jesus over ALL spiritual powers, principalities and dominions, and how the Word is truly our sword and shield against those demonic forces.
I praise God for making me realize that life isn't about what makes me FEEL good and what makes me happy. It's about having a relationship with God and living a life He has set for me, which is more joyful and prosperous than anything I would have tried to establish for myself ❤🙏

I am an avid watcher of your podcast and appreciate every episode but this particular discussion was so informative. My father was a Ghanian pastor that was saved from an idol worshipping home so once he was saved he had a powerful ministry in deliverance. I grew up seeing so much of this come through our home and watched how the power of God delivered many. Thank you for sharing how the new age belief systems are deeply rooted in witchcraft. Many need to understand how the enemy is disguising these practices as harmless.
I had a traumatic experience at the age of 9 and my brain hid that thing until age 38! At that point of my life I had recommitted my life to Christ and THE ONLY WAY I could deal with that trauma is through Christ! If that memory had flooded back at any other time of my life I probably would not have survived the memory! He is OUR PROTECTOR!!!!!!

Important subject! 14 years ago the Lord brought me to His Cross after 17 years in new age practices as a straight up professional psychic, channeler, following yoga, studying astrology, Tibetan Buddism, Anthroposophy, and more. The first 6 weeks after I 100% gave all that up (it was a process) I underwent massive spiritual warfare that continued for about 2 years. God taught me how to warfare through that time, but it was brutal. He also showed me something very important, where in the "church" people are following, preaching and "channeling" doctrines of demons. As we know, the end times church is very compromised. I could see it because I used to DO it. I've found the hardest people to witness to actually aren't atheiests, agnostics, etc, it's Christians following and practicing false doctrine, especially NAR and flesh and works based "spirit" based false praise and worship, false "prophecy," etc. Amazing times brothers and sisters. I'm sorry, but this particular episode did not provide a safe space for the guest which is why she stated it. She already appeared to be very nervous, but some of the things she revealed was mocked and laughed at in a very condescending manner. Creating a safe space also comes with asking questions and delivering thoughts in an empathetic tone so the guest does not feel as if they are being judged. This is what causes people to stray away from the church and not give their testimonies of deliverance. There is no need for the host to brag about how he's never struggled with drugs or seeking counsel outside of God in therapy, however infidelity and adultery has been his drug of choice in the past. Please keep it LIT but also remember to be more empathetic and understanding during these tough topics.
She clearly seemed uncomfortable at the end when he appeared to be preaching at her and very hard too. It sounded a bit condemning even if his intentions were good.

This was so good. I as a Christian was dated a young lady who was in a Christian Church. She taught the children’s Sunday School Class. Yet, she had a relationship with sage and crystals. I had to leave that relationship because she prayed to her ancestors.

Thank you Laterras for this episode! I'm so glad you shared the truth about halloween and how Christians celebrate any and everything without studying the origin of it. We must study to show ourselves approved. I'm grateful the young lady has rekindled her relationship with the Lord. There is so much that people are not aware of when it comes to new age. Crystals, astrology, sage, waist beads, the universe, sororities and fraternities are not of God, they are of the lower case god. The two are not the same.
I know! And not to mention WE REALLY JUST DONT NEED THOSE THINGS to live a happy and productive life. They bring more harm than help.

This is such a timely message to expose different levels of witchcraft. So many believers are being destroyed for a lack of knowledge. She opened so many doors through her willful act of rebellion. Then when she was told she needed deliverance, she initially rejected that concept out of ignorance but submitted after having the proper understanding. More pastors need to teach on spiritual warfare and deliverance. The word says in 1 Samuel 15:
23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. She was seeking healing and actually became more damaged. Thank God for her understanding being enlightened so she can continue to walk in the light of Gods word.
This is my testimony as well.I’m coming through it with God’s grace.A lot of the same words that are used in church are used “spiritually”as well.I honestly thought i had some type of cheat code to get closer and to hear God.I didn’t do ayahuasca but I had planned on it.I grew up in the church but thought I was getting closer to Jesus when I became spiritual .I was so deep into new age that I was starting to do readings but I believed Jesus was walking with me.She is so brave because it is so hard to admit and accept that you are deceived,and it’s hard to tell other Christian’s what you’ve been through because of the judgement.Coming out of this season of my life I have repented and I’m reading my Bible,I’ve rededicated my life to Christ and I’m back in Church.This makes me so emotional because I know the enemy had me but the Holy Spirit saved me.Thank you for this.I truthfully believe God is calling his children back to Him.I’m so grateful I was called.

Lord this is good discussion. It's so easy to get desperate for answers when you are hurting. I had a problem and went to my church for help and received no help. I couldn't even get an appointment. If you are not famous the ministers have no time for you. I went to see a physic after being denied from the church. What I learned about myself is the true meaning of "study to show thyself approved". Man cannot do what only God can do. Man has no time for you and a lot of times it's only about their agenda....prosperity ministry. Thank you again for a good episode Laterras.

We are not monolithic. When I travel I see that people experience God in various ways.
It’s the Christians who mess it up. That’s my struggle. I feel like me and Jesus are good… but I no longer enjoy being with the “body”. So much shame, secret sin, fake behavior, judgment etc. Truly robs the soul.
This is so important. During my journey, I've come across "believers" who actually dabble in that new age stuff. You do have to ask the right questions for sure. Also those things do come across as "good" and appealing. But what others have mentioned, if the Devil just came out and said, "This will destroy you.' We would surely avoid it. Wow! Very relatable episode for me…especially because at the young ages between 23-26, I dibbed and dabbled in DMT, various strains of marijuana, K2, wax, shrooms, kratom, etc to re-seek a relationship I ALREADY had with God. I lost his voice and become so eager to find it. Not realizing I was looking in all the wrong spaces with the wrong people. Then to make it worse, like Jonah , he spoke to me directly, through people and horrible situations. I was we just so disobedient at the time on top of my mind being completely arrested by the devil. In hindsight, God is and will ALWAYS be enough. There is no other way. You cannot lean onto your own understanding if you want him to be the sole driver in your life.

Soooo I received deliverance listening to this as I was convicted for this, “Jesus, you are enough”. Every false religion, false belief, and false way tells u we have to do something and “Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross was not enough”. It convicted me soooo heavily listening to this lady. I’m so grateful for this episode. She really should get this out!!! I sent it to some people I love! I’m an ex-BHI and it has been trying but I’m grateful for this! I’m so grateful!!! I’m glad she shared her journey with us all! Yes she may still need more healing, but we all do. We have people in the Bride of Christ that are more healed than she is and still haven’t opened their mouths to share their testimony, because they’re waiting to be “perfect.” Let’s support her and others as they do share their journeys, that even this much she did share could stop someone from making a choice of doing this or any other thing that is not of THE LORD GOD🙏🏽. And we never know if GOD told her to share it now & many may consider it prematurely. There are people that GOD is trying to get to not make certain decisions or guide them back to HIM, so tell your testimony! Yes bc I got so much from this!! And I have connected more with women of God and they have encouraged me to share my testimony even though it is not complete and I was so hesitant bc I FELT it wasn’t satisfying enough…let God move us and whatever needs to happen will happen bc I had people tell me later that what I shared touched them

We as believers have got to stop looking for “more” & stop touching satans devices (drugs, crystals, oweigi boards, horoscopes, psychics, freemasonry, sororities/fraternities, etc) We open ourselves up to be possessed by demons when we touch his stuff. I applaud this young lady for sharing her story. I pray it set others free from demonic possession. It’s sad that ppl that are supposed to be in leadership or the gospel industry or so called believers are living these file lives. These ppl have a form of godliness but deny the power to change them. Judgement is going to start at the house of God. Great interview
My best friend’s son suffered from Bipolar Disorder and went to Peru for the Ayahuasca experience. This was my first time ever hearing about it. Tragically, 2 years later he took his own life. My prayers are for those who are suffering mentally, searching for peace and rest. Jesus said come to me, all who are burdened and heavy ladened, and I will give you rest. In memory of Reuben.

The entire world has all types of evil and darkness. Sin has no geographical boundaries. It's just that the myth was perpetrated that Africa is the dark continent...meaning steeped in sin. The entire world needs Christ.

@@Amecia I used to practice yoga and just this summer I found its a ritual where people are chanting to a god. I never chanted and my cousin who is a pastor said a lot of the poses are worshipping other than God. I was just trying to exercise. I have not done deep research. I called it a trap because it's something that is coming up more and more as a practice not of God.

@@Amecia Beloved, yoga has its roots in Hinduism and the stretches and poses are actual worship to Hindu deities. It was brought to the west and used as a tool for medical purposes (stress relief, mental health, calming the mind and other healing modalities). There are notable benefit that are recorded from this practice, however, it can open doors spiritually. At first it is seemingly harmless but as you go deeper, (which happens over time) you get into the spiritual aspects.

That's the crazy thing about dating these days these women believe in everything crystals, sage, psychic, and still will call themselves Christian or say they have a strong relationship with GOD. But then when I say GOD doesn't belive in any of that they go ghost, block you or both. lol. I am telling having real conversations before dating is the ultimate cheat code.

I agree to disagree. He has references to myrrh and frankincense. In addition, He works with gems and building with them. We are encourages as His children to tap into the abilities in which He gave us. I find it liberating that I am accepted for my esoteric beliefs but not forgetting to put Him first. It is the shutting down, instead of inclusivity of crystals, psychic abilities (which is in all of us) that is causing a breakdown in our society. I agree that nothing comes before Him, but ignoring tools that He put within us, is not instrumental in our growth.

One thing missing that we all know is that He does not cast judgment, yet so many follow Him and say they truly accept others. Why don't we address that the real truth is that people are quick to call something they do not understand demonic UNTIL they have the experience, then we hear nothing. All I am saying is that we all have innate gifts and abilities only God places in us and we should use it without fear of being judged. R.C. Blakes discusses this at length. We have to stand in our truth in a world that thinks God brings a one size fits all to all His children.

I have watched all of the podcast that dear future wifey has published but this I have to say was the hardest for me to watch from start to finish. As I continued to watch what blessed me the most was Laterra’s message about alcohol and spirits I needed to hear that thank you for that word.
In all seriousness and genuineness, how can we be SO certain that this is a trap of the enemy ? These are plants ( ayahuasca vine, magic mushrooms , cannabis) , that are grown on the Lords Earth. Why be so certain that God does can not use these as tools for his miracles?
There are poison plants that grow naturally from the Lord's earth too, doesn't mean you take them
The enemy is strategic, he preys on your weaknesses/desperation when you are walking through storms and looking for answers. I too experienced a demonic attack after getting diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disorder. I went to an “herbalist” for treatment vs traditional medicine. I was so desperate for healing I was willing to try anything. God is sovereign and his love is unconditional! I thank you Jesus for deliverance. May God cover and keep this young lady as well 🫶🏾
That’s her experience and I respect her stance. There are so many other people who have very different experiences in which the medicine was beneficial. Everything isn’t for everyone even in organized religion. Everyone is different and to try to make everyone into the Bible is not the answer.
This was powerful because so many people are lost and desperately need Jesus. The devil is crafty and tries to tempt us just as you both stated. We gotta be intentional and knowledgeable on whom and what we submit to.
It’s hard to watch because it’s almost like she’s struggling to tell her story but doesn’t want to talk about it. I hope she gets to a point where she is able to articulate herself clearly. She is still healing but I applaud her for her braveness on sharing her story. Great and informative episode!
I love every bit of it. She gave all of the salient information and was clear in expressing she condition/ mental state at the time. I think she was being sensitive (guarded) while sharing because maybe others that she knows may be still practicing this.
I can tell she is being very cautious telling her story. Thank you for being willing to be transparent and share with the world. I too stepped away from the church because of what I felt were misrepresentations of God. I was overexposed to the devil while in church.
I’m not even 1/2 finished & this was a VERY VERY good segment!! Do more on this drug. This is so interesting how people are playing around with things they don’t even know are forbidden.

One day, one day my husband and I will sit amongst these beautiful couples in matrimonial worship! I’m speaking this into existence! We have a new RUclips channel declaring our black love, finding love over the age of 40 and our love journey as newlyweds. We went from having a long distance relationship to me quitting my job and relocating to a different city. Our entire lives changed as we met, got engaged and were married one year from the day we met! That’s our black love story and then began our blended family journey. He has 2 young children and I have 3 adult children! But God 🙏🏾
I was getting frustrated with this interview, it felt like pulling teeth to get information out of her. I had to remind myself to have empathy I'm sure it was hard for her to revisit those memories but she pushed through and shared with us anyway. LT did do a great job with asking her to go deep and keeping the conversation structured. This was an interesting and insightful conversation, people be out here living all types of lives. My life is so vanilla 😂😂😂😂 but nothing wrong with that 😅

This serves as a reminder to me to educate our young on following Christ, not people. To never try drugs, though many will anyway. But, we still have to speak on it even if we ourselves have tried. Her recollection reminds me of my own cousin. When she graduated from College and moved to the big city, a friend introduced her to Bhudism (sp). She invited me to a ritual and expressed how much stronger we would be as Christians if we practiced this ritual along with. I could only respond, how much stronger we would be as Christians if we practiced the rituals of Christianity. My point is, our young can easily be distracted if not prepared for the world. That said, I had to stop mid way through. Thanks for the reminder.
The young is not the only one easily distracted but grown adults as well.

LW you did a great job of extracting every single detail during this interview. You had her to really paint a picute of how these rituals unfold. I think a lot of people would not have thought to stop her for this level of detail. I would like to think that I would have done as good of a job. But, honestly, I can't be certain.

God/Jesus IS enough. And this can manifest in a multitude of ways… Also, don’t discount that some have tried the traditional Christian things for years and haven’t felt the impact. We judge and ostracize them telling them they’re doing it “wrong” vs seeking to understand and hold space for however they may feel. Instead we want them to change their behaviors while ignoring the root that got them there.
When people say " I am spiritual " my antenna goes way up. When I don't see any FRUIT of the HOLY SPIRIT, then that "spirit" is not of the MOST HIGH GOD. Period. The Bible tells us how even the VERY ELECT will be deceived, it's so important to guard your heart, mind, eyes...all of it. Lord help us.

This podcast was so necessary. It was courageous of her to tell her story and Latteras commentary was on point and he asked really good questions I watched Pastor Stephanie Ike-Okafur bible study on this subject, It was very informative. It was a good reminder that we need to guard our hearts, our hear gates, and eye gates. Satan is cunning and he will prey on your vulnerable and have you thinking you are serving God when you are really serving the kingdom of darkness. Relationship with God is key.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
