Great Review Rob. It's removing your excess electrons which lowers oxidative stress and inflammation. Some say inflammation is the precursor to most or all disease. MannyG
By setting your multi meter to AC voltage, you are measuring the alternating voltage in your body. Static electricity is direct, not alternating. Try checking the voltage of a 1.5 volt battery using the AC (squiggly line) and you will find that it will drive down to 0 volts and not to 1.5 volts.
@johnleroux1714 Thanks for the info. Before I made the video I watched a few videos on how others demonstrated the meter. So I guess since the house outlet is AC you need AC to test for a proper ground. Whatever the grounding mat did, it demonstrated its ability to take my voltage and drop it from around 24 to 0.
@TheShaunaBrooks Here is what AI has to say. "A grounding mat, also called an "earthing mat", is designed to mimic the effect of walking barefoot on the earth by allowing your body to absorb negative electrons from the ground, essentially neutralizing any positive static electric charges that may have built up, potentially leading to benefits like reduced inflammation, improved sleep, and stress relief; it essentially replicates the natural connection to the earth that modern lifestyles often lack."

I has put little stock in grounding. We've had ours a week and I just realized, I've been sleeping great.
No, you are Suppose to measure in A/C, for earthing.
The body is suppose to be DC and excess A/C is what you reduce with earthing.
Thank you for this comprehensive video, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Soooo we’re sleeping on electric currents now?

So really in all reality you wouldn’t need the giant sheet. You could just have your hand sitting on the mat while you were in bed, correct?
@@barbburleson6195 Yes, or even just use the wrist strap. We have the larger one going across the foot of the be. But it's all just preference.
