Had one of these in the 80s. The postman couldn't believe I paid £1,400 for it, it looked a million dollars.
Drove it from London to Scotland once and it didn't miss a beat.
    Fantastic soundtrack and comfortable GT.
Thanks for the video and saving this lovely car.

I once owed a UR Audi quattro and got a paint spraying job in Germany. The drive from home all the way down to the south of England across the channel via the ferry Through France all the way into Germany. Completed my contract and headed for home again. Tested the engine flat out where ever i could, it never missed a beat. Once read some where that these Audi's were good for 150 m.p.h. Mine was good for 147 m.p.h flat out all the way back where possible. The only issue was at the back of the alternator there is a pressed steel gard with worked itself loss driving back through France Remove it and continued to drive on back home. A fault less car with a more than willing engine. The guy that owned it prior to me had a brand near engine block fitted £5,000 from Audi. (that was just the price just for the new engine block) With it doubt the best car i have ever owed and driven. So long distance doesn't prove to be a challenge for these 10 valve turbo engine's great German engineering at their very best. Looking forward to many more year's of owning and driving Audi's track day first then see how that goes. With abit of luck rallying next be shame not to it will be a quattro then you really have to learn to adapt to new higher driving standards, which of course is what classic Aud's are all about it's why they were build in the first place! To be enjoyed, worked on the best part of course they love to be driven on long journeys they are truly amazing cars, as you listen to the exhaust notes it's music to the ears, in my humble opinion there is no better sounding engine than a 5 cylinder petrol engine. As Walter Rohl once said "there is no other engine that sounds like a Audi 5 cylinder and that is 100% true. Happy motoring.

Hi I restored a 2.2 gt coupe, the o rings around the injectors go brittle and let air past them, it causes a loss in power eventhough it's still torquey and quick, it's an easy and cheap fix and makes a big difference to power, fuel economy and smooth running, pull out the easiest injector and see, if they're cracked and broken order a set and blow out the channel that runs between them, the engine relies on good vacuum.

    That's a keeper.
I still regret selling my GT and that was back in 2000.

This is a brilliant vid. Love the enthusiasm and passion for this car. Sound epic when you give it the beans 😀. Congrats on the MOT pass.
This is all a timely reminder to me that I need to get my backside in gear and get to work on restoring my '86 Audi 90 quattro.

Congrats! My dream car to have next to my '88 MR2 in my garage is an early 80s Audi Quattro so this is very close!

Missing the 5 pot soundtrack. i was hooked when back in the day my dad drove a 85 90CD with the 2.0 5 cyl. I've recently had 2 V5 170 Sport New Beetles, and they're fun cars too, and sound amazin too. great video.

Just found your channel and watched all the coupe vids, while i was allegedly working on my '85, 2L JS engined 5 pot. I've had mine for 8 years and only ever seen one other on the road. Have you still got it?

looking into buying one here in california. how was it finding parts for it? also is this a hard car to work on despite it being a 80's car.

Very easy. I used AUTODOC in Germany and then had everything and it’s cheap. It’s also the easiest car I’ve ever worked on. Go for it!

Honestly...kind of a boring video..Because it's just you talking and no shots of the car, or drivebys with sound, or anything...cool.
