At a con I once asked him how he schedules his uploads. 1 week for picking the title watching and writing, 1 week for shooting, 1 week for editing. Layer that on top of itself and you have 3 weeks of output for 5 weeks of effort.

Still love this movie.....it’s total jam and cheese but I love it. Also on a personal note I’d like to extend congratulations on the weight loss man. Seriously that’s not an easy thing to do. Keep it up.

Yes, the secret to creating life is in a woman's heart...that's why there are no bad mothers and every pregnancy is wanted. If only that were the case, think of all the money that could be saved on birth control.
I think the way they were trying to go with that "It takes more than a female body to make babies" thing was in a nature vs nurture kinda way. Like you can have a baby and become a parent but that doesn't mean you are BEING a parent. I think....

It's strange. Usually Hollywood actors are pretty good at voice acting. Hell, some of them like Tim Curry, Patrick Stewart, Clancy Brown, Ron Perlman, Miguel Ferrer and of course Mark Hamill even managed to have a career out of voice acing.
That depends on a LOT of factors. Voice acting is a lot different than normal acting, and a lot of an actor's performance is lost when you don't see them. Eye movements, facial expressions, physical actions, etc. Dubs are also especially hard because they have to follow lip movements, and as such have to follow a beat and carefully match up their words with how the original portrays it. Good directors can guide an actor through this, but a lack of experience in voiceover can be a problem. For all of your examples, there are plenty of counter examples where Hollywood actors are thrown into voice work and it failing pretty hard.
@BennettTheSage You wanna know something, I own the entire Armitage Trilogy (The Pioneer Releases) Got Armitage: Dual Matrix first at a GameXchange then I ordered a copy of Armitage: Poly Matrix and a copy of Armitage III OVA Series.
Not that you likely care, but Naomi as pronounced in this feature is an actual Japanese name, completely unrelated to "Nay-omi" pronounced version most of us on this side of the planet are used to.
I'll say this much: While the Armitage series (Movies and OVAs) hasn't really held up all that well it did introduce me to the cyber punk genre of anime so I at least have to give it that much
I think they could be a really good series of movies if they get a modern adaptation with a decent to smooth out the pacing issues cause the core story isn't bad
4:05 Sage, human beings are not unique in appearance. There are several web services designed to find random strangers who look exactly the same as you, and they will work for everyone at least once. Often more than once, think of how many celeberty look alikes there are. Think of it this way, if you're one in a million, then there are 8 of you in New York City alone. Across the entire world, there would be ~7,600 of you. No one would suspect a thing if they made a few thousand Naomi's and distributed them across the globe according to population density. In fact, that's exactly what they would do because you seem to have no concept of just how expensive it is to retool a factory to produce a separate model of a product. They'd use those uh, face molds? till they broke/wore down too much, THEN make a new model and because of how humans work none would be the wiser.

Ugh celebrity voices in anime are always a crap shoot. It was always just a gimmick to try and "legitimize" anime and it's usually rushed crap like it is here unless the actor has some VO experience. It works in Hollywood because they have time and money to coach the actors and redo takes a million times. In small time anime dubs they probably have the celeb for a couple of days and they have no time to coach or do more then a few takes of everything. I mean shit back in the day dubs were such rush jobs even when they weren't paying through the ass to hire a name.
Got my copy in an Armitage III twin dvd pack at Suncoast so long ago. I thought it was ruined by the CG style overhaul, but hearing Juliette Lewis even then made my skin crawl. There was an episode of Real Word or some other generic Mtv show where the crew went on a trip to Japan, and got to tour a DUB studio where they re-dubbed parts from the first Armitage. Truly terrible. Fuck yeah, BM66!
5:28 that's extra funny when you realize the person voicing that creepy looking dude is also the guy who voices M Bison in the Street fighter animated film.
I want to make a sprite-based game about the adventures of The CyberSage! :D Damn it, Sage, you always find a way to distract me from your video by showing me something that tingles my nethers. Freakin' Juliette Lewis with her freckled bosom and sexy armpit pose... >:O You know, I think I feel the same way about Armitage that I do about Lightning from Final Fantasy. The character's potential just outshines the frustratingly inferior contexts she's most commonly thrust into. Only this time, even the aforementioned contexts have their own unrealized potential. Honestly, I feel like it would have been better if they'd tried to adapt Armitage as a Hollywood film instead of Ghost in The Shell. Haha, "He has his ED-209 Kool-Aid Man into the room," that's one of the best lines I've heard from anyone ever. XD You know, my name is Naomi. Some day I will be mostly robot, if transhumanism catches up in time. I bet some day I'll have an army of Naomi clones, too. I'll let you have visits from one for free. :3 Also, "nah-oh-mee" is more common than you think. It's the standard Japanese pronunciation as the name itself is actually occasionally given to girls there. I *think* it's also the original Hebrew pronunciation, too? To be honest, I've gone by both pronunciations in my lifetime, you know, whichever feels more comfortable for whoever is saying my name, like a nickname sorta thing. :o
Im interested in seeing Black Magic M-66 soon. Ill try to save my comments for that video. However I do want to say its the OVA that I can really think of as an clipped "episode" of something.
Actually ... you should probably just read the manga. M-66 is a (very) loose adaptation of one part of a chapter, and is not an accurate representation of Masamune's original story.
I know this is the wrong video, but I was thinking back to the first Armitage "movie" and you know what would have made the plot point about killing the thirds work? Make Mars an earth controlled colony and have it be law that a colony can only become independent once it's population reaches a certain size. The Third line was created to facilitate an increased birth rate, but Earth can't have Mars becoming independent because they're strip mining the planet for rare minerals found under the planet's crust (or some similar thing), so a corporate cabal bribed politicians to turn public opinion against the sex robots because they're trying to maintain control of the planet's resources.
Ugh, I remember the twin fight scene. I remember it starting off well and me enjoying it at first. Then it kept going.... and going.... and going..... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... and going.... To be fair Sagat isn't a villain at the moment in the SF canon and even when he was working for Bison he wasn't really evil compared to characters like Balrog and Vega. Although yes that facial design does seem to imply he is a villain. EDIT: Plot point but didn't the President come to the conclusion after Armitage's speech that what his problem with his Third types wasn't the hardware but the software? Still a silly plot point but a valid one so to speak.
Hack the Planet is from the movie "Hackers" I own this movie, mostly because I have the Polymatrix movie, the OAVs and both sound tracks, so I had to get this movie. Oh well, live and learn.
If this is cyberpunk month, that means robots, which means I'm hoooooping for a Nier: Automata joke at some point. The bootybot, the 9Psycho, something. Assuming Sage has played the game, of course. 19:01 "Heaven's Light", an HP attack used by Sephiroth in Dissidia Final Fantasy. Sooo...Yup, Sage was right.
I first saw Armitage III back on the Scifi channel back in the 1990s. I remember seeing this film packaged with the original Armitage Poly-Matrix in some stores. Much later saw this movie on the Scifi channel's renewed(and later cancelled) anime nights. I can agree with basically everything said in this video. Thats not a good thing as usually I think about the positives as a counterpoint. Armitage Dual Matrix. It was wasted potential about using androids to reproduce humans as a sub-human slave race on Mars. You could write a whole book about that, and Im sure someone actually has. Its hilariously bad how "love" is required to make humans. Um tell that to all the children of rape. I better not hear or read someone saying rape is enjoyable.
"Hey, let's do a theme month and start half way through the month!" -Someone.

EDIT: Plot point but didn't the President come to the conclusion after Armitage's speech that what his problem with his Third types wasn't the hardware but the software? Still a silly plot point but a valid one so to speak.
Was gonna update my Twitter feed when the notification showed up and I accidentally pressed on it.
Oh, well. Twitter can wait.
Hey great job on the weight loss! I know it ain't easy, keep it up!
Lol I used to watch this movie all the time on FX when I was in middle school XD
Wow, Bennett really has lost a lot of weight. Congrats, man. Also, WOOO! CYBERPUNK!
Can anyone tell me the name of the anime at 1:29?
Hi do you plan on doing Battle angel Alita review this month? =)
thank god, I needed my anime abandon fix. Bennett is the best.
How was "Heaven's Gate Punch" not a Zell limit break?
"I mean c'mon, look at this face! Would a face like this have any evil intent behind it? A face like Lorgar's?"
Welp, there goes Sage's exercise for the month.
He worked out?
Yes at those gloves and shades though ❤
How is the weightloss going???
So much shade and sarcasm I love it haha
Where is the anime version of the man in the high castle
Sage, have you seen Galaxy Fraulien Yuna?
Hack the Planet is from the movie "Hackers" I own this movie, mostly because I have the Polymatrix movie, the OAVs and both sound tracks, so I had to get this movie. Oh well, live and learn.
I have a suggestion for you. The OAV called Dragon Slayer. It's a fantasy anime, with some insane sword combat.
That scientist hacker guy working for the bad guy reminds me of the joker from the batman. The voices sound close.
I think I missed what the "dual-matrix" was.
If it's Cyberpunk month, does this mean we get Sage reviewing the Battle Angel Alita OVA? I think I would literally up and die if he did.
15:15 "How is babby formed?"
Really funny episode, good job
ok for real I really need those shades
blackwolf340 Look up Bret the Hitman Heart
If this is cyberpunk month, that means robots, which means I'm hoooooping for a Nier: Automata joke at some point. The bootybot, the 9Psycho, something. Assuming Sage has played the game, of course.
19:01 "Heaven's Light", an HP attack used by Sephiroth in Dissidia Final Fantasy. Sooo...Yup, Sage was right.
15:41 "THE HEART, OSBORN!"
19:45 Is it me or does the kid's left arm look fucking weird as she is held up
I believe this and Blood: The Last Vampire were the Anime\OVA I ever seen
i need that Hack the Planet shirt for MAGFest
So they got Tom Wyner in to voice a Sagat lookalike?
Who voiced that master repair man?
Just came from listening to the Opening of Neon Genesis Evangelion, so awesome. :D
So the new exercise regimen begins...
4:48 Is that a car passing by?
8:38 What the fuck was that read?
Was this the same team who did xenogears for ps1?
I love Cyberpunk Month! How soon until the next one?
Man, people really seem to hate the Grand Dark Lord of the Sith who is responsible for the entire series Darth Jar Jar.
Anyone who can get me a link to where I can buy those shades, you will make my day.
