My eyes were really opened by this idea that being a "nomad" does NOT mean being constantly on the move, but simply having the mindset of being willing to actually pick up and leave when you feel like it. My thought for the last *year* of researching different nomadic lifestyles was "do I REALLY want to move constantly and never have a permanent home? Because that's what being a nomad IS." It is SUCH a different perspective for me to consider being able to call myself a "nomad" as simply being about whether my mind is open enough to accept the impermanence of life and material things; almost akin to the Taoist notion of going with the flow of life. So thank you for presenting such a different perspective! I am grateful, and really enjoy your videos.
To me nomadic lifestyle is having a base home, and move around the world to live and not as a tourist but like a local, the best is ability to " able to move and go anytime you feel like to '
@@petertoh355 "Being able to live around the world not as a tourist but a local" - that's so ON POINT!! It feels so nice to find like-minded people thanks to Nomad Capitalist!
That's what an actual nomad is, you don't need to move if you don't wanna move, you just move when the conditions are no longer to your standard. You don't even have to be an entrepreneur to live like this, you can be a regular worker and still have the b@lls to say, "no I don't like this job anymore, I am quitting", "I don't like this city anymore, I am moving"... The important thing is never to be driven by fear, choose to be driven by faith that you will encounter something better if God wills
This is full of so much honesty. This one pulls the curtain back and looking at the emotional component of the nomad capitalist lifestyle. Thank you, Andrew.
Loved the sentence "stand up for yourself". I will quote you on that. ☺️ I think you are in the right spot with the "go where you are treated best". For me, learn how and why we should pursue our happiness is the breakthrough. And btw, great mood on this video, with the soundtrack and story. Keep the good work.
This is what I needed. I have been playing small for way too long. And my life has become increasingly uncomfortable. It is time for me to step up and be me.
8:45 Why am I crying?😭🙏🏻 I need this so much and I just can't stop watching your videos. I might only be earning a salary but I can retain control and be wiling to do the things that make me happy and peaceful.
Self realisation is the key for growth. It's grand to wander around in your early 20s but you must not succumb on settling down later on. Time just flies so easily, it doesn't care about you. It will forever go beyond our imaginations. Love this episode.
Just starting my journey and found these videos. I’m also a libertarian and have spent too much of my time talking and worrying about policies here in the U.S. the video I watched yesterday about how maybe the U.S. isn’t the greatest country on earth with the spying and tax policies was a lightbulb moment for me.
I was caught in the "US is the best country" too when I first moved here for a few years. Only this year I have opened my eyes to the fact that the US is not that much different from China or Russia
I've learned its okay to change your mind on what you want. I grew up in Chicago, lived some years in a suburb, moved to Puerto Rico with my husband. We purchased a cute 3 bedroom house in the mountains. He died 2 years into relocating to Puerto Rico, now I want to sell and move to Portugal.
How many of us really go after what we want in life instead of just settling for what we know we can get or what feels comfortable? Thanks for reminding us to go after what we want and go where we're treated best, Andrew
Practical questions for a future video: How do you manage real estate from abroad when you don't speak the language of the country? And how can you be sure the local agency managing the property is not ripping you off?
Battling with crippling depression for I don't know how long. I have been a subscriber for years, but this one video inspired me to finally get out of my bed and try to begin my best life. Even if I am 44 and haven't accomplished anything so far. This was great and I thank you for that. You are like a friend to me now. 🏆
We're deeply moved to hear that our video has had such a positive impact on you during a challenging time. Remember, it's never too late to start pursuing your best life, and every step forward, no matter how small, is progress.
Absolutely awesome video, Andrew. Thanks for sharing. Your videos, thoughts and experiences really help me to crystallise so many things in my own mind. As you say there are so many options out there of how we can live our lives and you don't always know what options are out there. By sharing your experience you really help shine a light on some of the best options open to us and some different ways of looking at life. Fantastic.
Thanks for a great video. A lot of things you said were things I worry about, including finally being able to leave if a place isn't bringing me the joy I want. This video has put a few things in perspective for me, and I hope when the time comes, I do have the strength to leave and go where I am treated best.
Hey Andrew, I love your content and all the information that you share with us. I noticed that you walk with your head slumped a bit forward. I work on the computer a lot and have found in the past that this also caused me to hunch forward a bit too much. I would suggest trying to be more mindful of your posture throughout the day and keeping your shoulders back.
It's refreshing to observe your honesty based on your self-awareness. Not many people walk the path which knows their name. Good on you! The resources are just one part .. external things will never satisfy the inner longing, but you are on a good path!!
This is gold! "Too many options can be a trap".. so true, and how many times I fall into this trap. I love CDMX, one of the greatest cities I've ever been. Thanks, Andrew, truly inspiring, genuine words.
Ultimately we are all chasing happiness and peace... Truth. The legacy comes later... I have had a Nomad attitude to spurituality and work and life in the UK. Always felt like a global citizen, now I want to travel and meet my people all over the world. Thanks for inspiring content...
Thank you for this video Andrew. I am happy you fell in love with Mexico like I did. There is just a feeling here. The people are so nice and life is simple and happy. After 7 years of being here, I don't ever intend to return to the US to live. The problem is that my family are snobs and think I should have gone to Europe. (or where the white people are) They are so scared to come here, that when they are here, they are too nervous to enjoy it. I went where I was treated best, but it resulted in losing my family. That's the only downside for me and I am alone so it makes it harder.
Thank you for this information 🙏. I am a female in my mid 50's living in Germany. I am looking to move out of here and find a different home. I am tired of some things about life here, such as, so many limitations, over-regulated aspects of life, cold-hearted and uncaring people and all the stress just to make ends meet. I have lived and worked in the U.S. , Thailand, U.A.E., and Qatar. Now I am contemplating trying Mexico and Serbia. What are some safe areas/cities for a woman to live in Mexico? I am planning to travel to Mexico this year. I am glad you found your home and happy place in Mexico.
Best video from you I have seen and I have watched dozens of them. Yes, after you get what you wanted you get to find out if it is really what you want. It’s a much harder trick to know before you acquire that which you listed after. A very thought provoking video Andrew. Thank you
Andrew I watch your videos constantly and love every single one. But this one really touched my ❤. I hope you understand how your fans feel about you. You are my inspiration. In 2 weeks I go to Panama to start my permanent residency research. Unfortunately my three pensions are all tied to the USA hence I am cannot renounce. But at least I live in Puerto Rico which is as far as possible from the mainland. God bless you and your family.
Downsize your lifestyle; only keep what you are legally required to keep, and get rid of everything else that does not serve your needs. Controlling real estate is often better than owning real estate, because you have the freedom to relocate on short notice. Acquire residences with a Master Lease Agreement and maybe an Option to Buy Contract, then use AirBnB to cash flow the property when you're not there. The fewer things that you own, the fewer things that own you.
Your personal videos the way you shared in this one are some of the best videos you put out I love how informative your content is and I'm grateful for what you teach us but your personal videos are amazing thank you very much Mr. Andrew Henderson

The trouble is, I'll always need the former to ensure the latter and, as I age and have had surgeries, my interest in ducking and diving is rapidly declining. Death's not far off so I don't want to be looking at spreadsheets and ROIs. Thanks for you videos, Andrew.
Andrew I've found your videos recently and am immersing myself. I'm grateful for your videos. My goal is to move to Latin America once I build enough passive/remote income. I want to live near the beach. Not too humid. Which cities would you recommend?
Lots of land, cat, dog, maybe a jersey cow, peacock, I like animals, a little country home with a fireplace, with my family. Very quiet area with lots trees and fresh air and rolling hills. Near a village. And Very low taxes!!
I think it’s a spiritual idea too it - nomadic -truly is about the art of letting go of what u built for yourself & also napoleon said Imagination rules the world 🌍

It really touched me your video, especially when you said "what you deep down in your soul want"
Thank you.
Wow, went deep on that one. Excellent! Thank you. Love the new format 👍🏻👍🏻
One of your best videos. Raising your standards! Love it. How do you compare Mexico City to Guadalajara Mexico? I heard the traffic and air pollution and crime are pretty bad in Mexico City- but what does it offer you ? Culture, night life, just curious as I liked Guadalajara when I went but could only stay 2 days.

your words are of powerful wisdom "live where you are well considered" my conscience vibrated when she heard your precious advice..
Andrew, I think you are fantastic! I wonder what suggestions you have for seniors and those that are not millionaires that want to leave America.
Thank you for the idea, Grace. Stay tuned.
Me too im 63 Brit and a nomad......er........still I can live like a rich guy in some countries. My bug is healthcare though.
A very sentimental and inspiring video - first time I witnessed the emotional side of Andrew. The clip was very insightful and helpful - thanks a lot for sharing this perspective.
Much thanks, Humphery.
I’ve been so good at making the best of what life has dealt or feeling pressured by family to do certain things or be in certain places. But no place has ever really felt like home. How come I feel more like myself when traveling or living in other countries? Yes, we can be our own worst enemy and put pressures on ourselves especially from the expectation that we think others might expect from us. I want to be a world citizen. I want freedom. That is stability, that is peace for for me.

I too love Mexico City, felt at home there the first time I visited. This was one of your best, most inspiring videos Andrew.
Wow, thank you😍
Some really good lessons in this for me. I'm in a position to make my first property purchase but as a nomad, I love the flexibility. However, the options and distractions require a level of self-awareness that I'm still working on. Thanks for this video; it came at a good time for me!

I like your way of thinking Andrew. The best word you said in this video is that you better live were you are treated best. Very wise way of thinking.
Thanks!

Oh how I love this❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This is the truth we all needed to hear. Well said Andrew. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 This is truly inspiring, motivating and touching all at the same time.

Death's not far off so I don't want to be looking at spreadsheets and ROIs. Thanks for you videos, Andrew.
Loved this video Andrew!
* Thank you Andrew for another awesome video! R U accompanied with someone on your trips to take your walking vidoes?
Look, you are the guy in the Burberry trench coat :))
Inspired stuff. Rigorous thinking. Some great food for thought here, even for a seasoned (old) guy like me.
Fantastic shots Andrew.

Wow! Love your videos. Truly inspiring. But this is the one to rule them all.
My favourite you-tuber!! I admire Andrew. Seek out the videos that feature his father too ! 👍
