I just realized that the Witch eyes gowed like Winnies Eyes after Winnie completed her Maxima spell. So the Witch killed her sisters.
Yeah from her reaction she probably also didn't read the spell and greatly regrets doing it
Just like how Charmed had the three primary powers of telekinesis (Prue and Paige), molecular immobilisation (Piper), and premonitions (Phoebe), the Sanderson sisters possessed the three powers of electrokinesis (Winifred), supernatural smell (Mary), and hypnotic voice (Sarah). Mmmm…I wonder who would win if these two sisterhoods were to engage in a magical duel. 🤔
The film made it very clear that there was nothing stopping each sister from using each power. The mother witch used both Mary and Sarah's powers and presumably could use Winifred's. Both films show that Winifred and Mary have the same compelling voice as Sarah, presumably Sarah lures the children because she has a more innocent sounding voice, and in the first one it took Mary amplifying her power to lure all the children in Salem "Use thy voice Sarah, fill the sky, bring the little brats to die". Presumably Mary just had a better sense of smell than the other two. Towards the end of the film both Sarah and Mary use electrokinesis, as does Becca. So it's less a case of each having separate abilities, than just excelling at different aspects, or rather, Winifred just had the most talent for magic, and her constant bullying of her sisters kept them from developing their own talents. The beginning scene for example, showed that Sarah had an untapped talent for potions and alchemy when she invented gelatin. Which I thought was kind of funny since gelatin really does sound like something a witch would come up with. She was also the only one in the first film to correctly remember the ingredients for the potion.
Regarding your question, the charmed ones would win, easily. Between Pipers freezing and Prues telekinesis Winifreds electricity is nothing. The girls have spells and potions specifically for vanquishing evil witches, or binding their powers. All of the charmed ones also have skill in hand to hand combat, more so Prue and Phoebe but Piper's a rather talented gymnast. It's just no contest, the Halliwells were taking on more powerful witches by season two.
Speaking of Charmed, don't forget the reboot too. Telekinesis (Macy), Temporal Manipulation before exchanged for Molecular Manipulation (Mel), and Empathic Telepathy which was also replaced with Foresight. And Manifestation (Kaela).
@@sifilore9462 I didn't forget the reboot, I just don't acknowledge it. I tried giving it a chance, stuck out about 4 episodes but I just couldn't handle the cringe. The original was spellbinding right from the first episode. Somehow the original managed to show strong, successful empowered women without delivering a sermon on gender politics every five seconds, and when they did they were much more nuanced. I liked that one of the sisters was gay, unfortunately it was the most insufferable. And they were far too powerful at the outset, the original sisters grew into their powers. And introducing their whitelighter, who has absolutely none of the earnest nice guy charm that Leo had, so early removes the aspect of them figuring out things on their own. Overall I just didn't like it.
@@iainwhite8617 Hmm. I c. And as much as I loved the og, Excalibur ⚔ ep was my favorite. The reboot did have higher cgi, and I loved the Medusa ep which shows humanity she lost. No movies or anything else show the tragic victim she really was and tried to help her. Here, Macy did.
@@iainwhite8617 Sarah was able to lure children cause she is innocent like a child so the power of emesment is more easy to her
I wondered, did the trio have parents or did Winnie raise Mary and Sarah on her own? I always thought it was funny that Mary and Sarah act as though Winnie is their mother instead of their sister. Especially at the end when Mary says to Winnie, "I know you've always liked me best!" That's something a child would say to a parent, why would a sibling care which sibling their other sibling likes best? lol
Their parents are kind of a mistery. In a deleted scene in the original movie, Allison thells Max that the sisters share a mother, who was a witch and that they each had a different father.
Winifred's dad was a warlock, which explains why she's the strongest and most knowledgeable on magic.
Mary's dad was a bloodhound, which is why she can smell children from miles away and has dog mannerisms
And Sarah's dad isn't revealed, but I think Sarah Jessica Parker said he was the twon's idiot, so that may explain Sarah's ditzy behavior.
But it's never really said what happened to them
@@stabajo that's interesting!! Because I forget they are actually sisters sometimes lol bc it's more like watching a mother with her children
If anything happened to Winnie, I wonder if Sarah or Mary would take over as leader? I used to think obviously Mary, but the more I watch I'm not sure. In ways Sarah seems more competent actually
its really funny that the spell book has feelings and it doesnt like that 1 spell and it closes everytime when they read the spell thats in the book lol
Yeah. Funny.
So glad they leaned into Winnies power this time around as opposed to the first one
Winnie is so powerful like her purple eyes ate when she did magicae maxima spell
This is why you always read the spell before you do it. You end up with unpleasant side effects that just end up going sideways
Bonus around baffling affairs vying in congress terrible of course in effect it's that would've be not necessary butter
can someone PLEASE explain sarah and maries powers they just popped up
Sarah has a hypnotic voice while Mary has supernatural smell. They could technically use the same powers each other had but Winnie hoarding the power instead of sharing made the two weaker. Once they cast the maxima spell they got strong enough to use other powers
They seem to have a short range teleportation
@@cryingtomatohead8626 Maybe mid to long range since they ran off in the woods while the witches were singing and they teleported to them.
Kathy always prefer vacuums rather than brooms
3:08 finger gun is funny
I love this movie
I love you Sonja I love her from Austin and Ally
I want to be a witch with lightning and all that and my friends to be the magic counduents I say the rhyme and they cast intricamelicamagicamistica
The Witches each have their own color of magical energy manipulation.
🎃🎃🎃🎃
Becca’s is blue.
Winifred’s is green.
Mary’s is red.
Sarah’s is purple.
Mary is actually orange
Hope this movie and 24 novembre Disenchanted enchanted2
These witches are evil!
Becca (who is a Witch) worships Hecate.
🎃🎃🎃🎃
Hecate is the Greek goddess of magic (witchcraft; sorcery; necromancy), mystical herbs, and poisonous plants.
🎃🎃🎃🎃
One of the pendants that Becca wears is Hecate’s Wheel.
I enjoyed the whole movie, but the only thing I didn’t like about it was how that girl got powers? In my opinion that was just stupid🤷♀️ Disney always has to have a little happy ending like that 🤦♀️
My theory.
Becca is a descendant of a bloodline dynasty of Witches.
Gilbert also mentioned that according to legend, Witches get their powers on their sixteenth birthday.
Becca’s birthday is October31 AKA Halloween. Therefore probably making Becca an extremely extraspecial Witch.
@@palmettosiucra4687 in the beginning it just showed them doing rituals in the woods with her friends. The Sanderson sisters were true witches with real powers being able to do more than just rituals. Winny pretty much gave her the powers because she wanted to be with her sisters, not because she wanted to give it away
Think you the magic in this movie is not based in reality?
so sad becca is a mary sue
In what way? I think there are sides to her personality that can still be explored in more movies
This isn't a Mary Sue. You can't just call all female characters with powers Mary Sues. Words mean things.
Agreed, boring character
Ay Caramba
