What a twist for this movie. For a sec I thought this was a paranormal haunting movie but it’s actually a sci-fi horror film. The whole time I was thinking she was the alien. But when Harry came out of the woods I was really shocked in a “WTF” moment. That’s when it all made sense, the alien killed Harry when he went for a walk to clear his head and he he sure did considering his head was split in half. I just don’t understand how Alien Harry could possibly take Ruth anywhere in the galaxy or universe to where she can survive unless she herself gets consumed of her memories and form by another alien. Idk but I really like this movie and seeing how there’s an invasion happening I kinda would like a sequel but I’m thinking there won’t be one haha.
Could it be that the film is actually an allegory about living together and introspection or str8 sci fi horror, to me it can go both ways but works better as str8 sci fi horror
Underrated movie! I had no idea what this movie was about and really enjoyed all the twists and turns it took! Had me cracking up when the alien was in the dudes body and he realized he loved her and was chasing her around saying he loved her and wanted to take her to space! 😂 hope there is a sequel!
Great twist in the movie …. But the rest was lackluster lol . I wish the film was a lot stronger … it had potential. Although the concept was good it could have been explored better . Love the part where she “beats” the alien with anxiety itself … cuz in real life that’s how powerful it is . I liked how whatever species it takes over it feels EVERYTHING & acts as that .
She never killed harry? The alien killed him when he went out of the tent to go walking while she was asleep, the scene where she goes in the cave she saw his dead body on the wall, so she realized the harry who was at the camp wasn't harry, so she tried to kill the alien because it killed harry. Imo if an something killed someone I loved, & took their appearance you have 2 choices in that situation, run or take vengeance.
I think this movie is connected to the Cloverfield paradox. It has strong commonalities in storytelling, and the ending literally represents the invasion moment in Cloverfield....falling red stars.
When he was trying to kill her after killing the other couple, it literally turned into a Horror Comedy, then when he showed her his spaceship, the entire thing turned into a sci-fi comedy horror. Boring movie to be honest.
I just got done watching this on paramount plus, at first I thought she killed her soon to be husband just like that but there something else was going on
If we thought a nuclear war with Russia would be our end days these aliens had other thoughts to say about that while taking over all humanity. Good SF movie.
The movie is sooooo bad! Surely it must be a rejected X-Files script. Originally it was Mulder and Scully hiking in the woods investigating a fallen meteor. ;)
I mean you could see it 2 ways, the entirety of humanity falling, orr some of the aliens realize humans aren't that bad and join with the humans and decide to rebel against the their own, their technology is clearly more advanced then ours so maybe the ones on the human side might help out with that, but then it basically becomes an anime plot. Also there are 8 billion of us, even if the aliens tried to take over we'd most likely win not because of strength but because of the sheer will that humans have to survive, kinda of like cockroaches but in the mental sense rather then physical. Alright have a good day/night :)
@@CertainOverlord it’s very very unlikely that we’d survive. Can will actually get you far in life sure yeah it can but that whole it makes you beat the biggest odds ever is only true to an extent. They are stronger, smarter, faster and regenerate very quickly they also are extremely durable.
When he starts going on about” do I love her”etc etc, I turned off,an alien that cares whether he loves a human is like a cat wondering if a sheep is in love with it.
i really thought she became an alien after the cave, behaved so wierd and then killed her bf. as it turns out she tried to kill the alien. good twist
i thought the same
What I don't understand is when did the alien kill Harry? Was it when he went out for a walk and she ran into the dead deer?
Same thing I thought also
Yes, that's the moment it happend!
Sadly, the alien is genderless, nameless and immortal.
It was funny how she almost killed the Alien using anxiety as a weapon 😂.
That's how powerful it is, yeah...
REALISTIC!!!
When he said the alien was cursed with being human that cracked me up 🤣🤣🤣
If alien invasion happens, i know what weapon to use “anxiety”

Underrated movie… loved this so much. Went in with low expectations but the acting was on point!
Hopefully a sequel in the works
This definitely reminded me of ANNHILATION! Kinda wished we would've seen the alien itself in their own form.
the alien reminded me of John Carpenter's The Thing and the T-1000 from Terminator 2.
Wrong Turn meets Annihilation. A sequel is a must
Amazing movie, had me on the edge the whole time.
Yes I loved this movie. Amazing.

This is very much like another movie called honeymoon. If you liked this, you'll enjoy that....not so happy ending though...
I mean, the ending here isn't great either, in terms of what's to come next
2022 is the wrong year for these aliens to invade 😆😆😂🤣🤣
How is this movie so good and also so bad at the same time
It was a different kind of movie, I liked it. I almost wanted it to be longer, see what would've happen.

"He had alien power, and relied on violence." Same bro.
Really enjoyed this movie
4:40 What does injured mean and how did it injure this young woman?
Does the ending show that it's the approaching apocalypse?

Is the ending scene showing the end of the world?
6:17 What do you mean fail to escape?
Watched this movie off a tab , greatest film I’ve seen with my brain all cluttered
One thing I don't understand is why did she kill Harry to begin with?
She never killed harry?

Ah, you did not watched the movie, she explains it in it.
How could someone watch this movie and then have that question?
@@RobbieSkyeHamilton how could someone wait a year to reply to this old ass comment, life much?
@@shadowofthenight2146 I just saw the movie last night and then watched RUclips videos about it afterwards ya dyngus
So pretty much the real Harry died? :/
When I first watched this I thought ruth was the alien hood movie 👍🏿
I thought this was a sequel to It Follows
Never go hiking with your boyfriend.

Captain Kirk figured this out already.

I'm still waiting for the "ending explained" 🤔
UFO like a location tag!?😂
Amazing.
This movie is crazy

Damn the lizard 🦎 people it all makes complete sense now
Lizard ppl don't exist, we're- I mean, they are just a joke ppl make up
Predictive Programming we are testifying throughout the world ? Just like Orwell's 1984 ? Or SongBird ? I hope not
She is crazy I would of went home
This movie scream streaming quality. The trailer was definitely better than the actual movie
No need a second one.
Such a wierd movie 🙃
The movie is sooooo bad! Surely it must be a rejected X-Files script. Originally it was Mulder and Scully hiking in the woods investigating a fallen meteor. ;)
the movie plot is garbage. like how tf you can kill an alien who can regenerate easily. you guys need men in black for sequel
She didn’t kill it
@@Yes_king6973 yea that's why he said they need men in black to kill it -_-

Such a shit movie
Terrible
Horrible movie! NO
This movie sucked! The alien fell in love??

That part comes from a comedy movie 😂
Dumb movie
