one thing to be aware of, Damar resin (one of the ingredients) yellows fairly quickly with exposure to sun. Gamblin brand cold wax is also matte, and does not contain damar.

Does the wax protect the colours from fading away as well? I have some paintings that have nothing protective on them, so is it best to apply this wax to them before putting them away in the portfolio folder?

@@OliviaChevallier I’m not sure where Olivia is getting her information, but Dorlands does not claim to provide fade resistance or in any way protect against UV light, which is the primary cause of fading.

Gouache comes in both pans (cake) or tubes. Ganache (ganash) is a whipped filling of chocolate and cream.😊
