Wow! That was a major plot twist in Season 4 of Brexit to take out a main character like that. Really didn't see it coming. Quite audacious by the writers. The show will not be the same without him.

It seems like they really are ending the Brexit series on the Boris season... I can't imagine them getting as much ratings with another speaker. If this is an intentional plot twist, it's a risky move... Then again, who knows, maybe R.R. Martin has something in his back pocket we haven't seen yet?

As commonwealth national, it’s rather weird what is happening in UK now. The current government has lost the confidence of the parliament, and as such unable to perform its duties. It’s also noticeable that the opposition gained more power in the House of Commons and there is a danger that it will be drunk with power. The opposition just wants to maintain power and fears the people in a general election. The Queen cannot declare this government null and void. It’s a mess. The speaker has allowed all of this to happen on his watch. He has totally lost the plot on what are his duties. He will be remembered for this. One day, MP will promise the people one thing and do another in the parliament against the interest of the people.

He's supposed to be impartial and sadly his anti brexit stance has shown through over the last few weeks .....good riddance

This is the equivalent of throwing your Teddy out of the pram because he didn't get his own way, he wants to stay in Europe and he is supposed to be impartial but we all know that he Isn't , its just him having a strop because he knows the end is near for him and Europe

Despite the inevitable insulting comments from Leave supporters, John Bercow has done an excellent job. Like most other MPs he accepts the 2016 referendum result. The reason for the insults from Leave supporters is that Bercow has been trying to ensure that Parliament runs the country and not Cummings, Gove, Rees-Mogg, Johnson and their supporters.

Oh please.....he accepts the referendum! He has done more to thwart Brexit than anyone else...remember the Bollocks to brexit on his car! Doesn’t sound like he accepted the results to me.

As long as he's proud of his tenure and his contribution to degrading democracy and furthering his self-served interests. Goodness knows he bled his expenses for all they were worth......I genuinely have no comprehension how he can even look at himself in the mirror. Obviously no shame.
