Horizon feels like a classic PS exclusive while having modern open world mechanics and refining those mechanics while not feeling bloated. It's a perfect masterpiece.
Ive had this game since launch and i did'nt like it. Back in those days, i pratically hated stealth and using a bow. I decided about a week ago to give this game a second chance, since i now love stealth and bow and i am loving the game so far!!! I am only 12 hours into though and i am also playing Lego star wars the complete saga too, but i am really, really enjoying Horizon. I am taking my time too, doing side quests and just enjoying the world.
I felt like I didn't play this game as much as I should have, as breath of the wild was right around the corner and I was saving up all my energy for that, I should go back to this game
Yeah, the close release window between both of those juggernauts was a bit unfortunate. How much did you play of it? Either way, I highly recommend going back to it!
Meh. Horizon is the weakest sony open world game. Its an 8.5/10. Ghost of tsushima, days gone, spiderman, god of war and infamous second son are way better and more interesting and especially FUN. The gameplay is pretty repetitive and underwhelming, it has SUPER WEAK melee, the story is REALLY bad and the lore is cringy, characters are easily the worst part with aloy being one of the weakest main protagonists in the sony catalogue. The writing is really low quality. The game seriously underwhelmed and disappointed me. Id rather get a new killzone. But the graphics are amazing, truly impressive engine and tech. First time i didnt even get the dlc for a sony first party game. Actually i hardly finished it asni became disinterested in the story and plot midway through. Honestly i dont even remember the main plot points cuz the game was so forgettable. Oh well, to each his own. After all you are one of those that loves cartoony games.
@@arcaedonluminos666 cuz the game has that sony quality. Ita like a really polished assassins creed game with best graphics in the industry. I dont like the game but gotta give it credit. Also you make it demeaning. You said yourself that you like cartoony games and hzd is an outlier. All im saying is your are biased af and you know yourself that you have weird taste in games and know that hzd isnt the best game. Same way i know bloodborne isnt the best game ever even if its my favorite. The only difference is that bloodborne is an objectively amazing game.

Me loving cartoony games doesn't mean I know I have weird tastes in games. Sure, I love some games that I don't consider that good, but that's regardless if it's cartoony or realistic looking, both can vary in quality. I haven't played Bloodborne, but that last sentence doesn't sit right with me either.

Off course Horizon Zero Dawn can't top Ratchet&Clank... BUT it's still fantastic! But R&C is the absolute best.

I remember thinking a few times during this game that the camera kind of sucks , Like it was not helping me much in combat
The camera took me some getting used to, but I don't have much issue with it anymore.
Turning off HUD makes the game a lot better,
Haven't tried that, but I can imagine that making the screen less messy. The minimal HUD was really nice in the recent HFW showcase.

Great to see both Rayman Legends and A Hat in Time on your list, I go back to both once every year and it's always a blast
