- This is a quick video on how to inject Repatha. Repatha is a prescribed medication for dramatically lowering cholesterol. It can only be prescribed by a licensed physician. I had never used an injection pen before and thought it would help others like me understand how these injection methods are used.

Excellent video - first time taking Repatha and watching this video first made me less anxious. Thank you for sharing it.
Really great video with no bluff and BS, thank you
Thank you so much for the quick and to the point instructions
It's pretty simple, but it's also great to have a clear video example of doing it! Thanks, Mark.
So clear.....yesterday was my first iniection....no problem following this video....tks a lot....💪👍💪
Ditto here... just received it and needed a good demo! Thanks!
Watched a lotta videos before taking my Repatha.... your vid is by far the bestest !! Thank you !!
Start mine today, thanks for posting.
Thank you Stright forward, Great job.
Start mine tomorrow. Great video!
Thank you
Any recent reviews on this drug? I'm getting prescription and looking for honest reviews
Thank you 👍🏻
Thanks
A very clear video, but you don’t have to hold the button down after the first click.
No, it just helps keep everything stable... and not pull out the needle like the idiot in my mirror did. 🤦♀️
Thanks! 👍
I did it in the thigh the first time. I hurt... abdomen is the way to go.
Danke schön 👍👏👏👏
How did it change your lipid numbers?
I start tomorrow with my first inyecction. Do I do it with an empty stomach or full, after eating???
Greetings, the pens I received have an air bubble in them, is this OK? I ask this because at the end of the injection you can actually hear the bubble "squirt'" inside the injection spot. I think I'm using them properly, just curious about the bubble. It may be some sort of inert gas, can't find any info about it, it does get injected.... anyone out there have any info? Thanks in advance.
An air bubble is normal and harmless. You're not injecting directly into a blood vessel, so you can't accidentally inject yourself with an air embolism.
The bubble is normal. On Repatha’s own RUclips video you can see the bubble in the injector.
Should you refrigerate the syringes? Some people say you don't have to, as long as you keep the syringes stored in a dark place.
use it within 30 days
I refrigerate mine for storage and only inject after leaving it out of the fridge for about 15 minutes. I think the idea is that a very cold injection will hurt more. So, allowing it to reach room temp is better.
I start mine friday and my anxiety is high at the moment, would you say the stomach is the best place? Thanks
You will need to do a different spot each time.
I do mine on stomach but Alternate spots
Don't need to move it since it's every two weeks... a diabetic who injects three times a day must move it... but not for twice a month injections... @@sandrathompson8894
I got to admit it seems easy I’m going to start it on Tuesday and I’m a little nervous. Do you have any words of wisdom?
It's super easy. The hardest part is remembering to do the shot at the right 2 week interval. Without being daily, it's easy to forget and get off cycle. Good luck.
followed your vid to a T and mine failed to dispense any of medication and the 2nd click never happened! WTH?
did some of you had muscular or arthritic pain
Bonjour
You should never inject in the belt line it should always be about or below it. The belt line would run from your belly button around your abdomen.
Is this medicine for cholesterol!?
Yes
Já estou usando a 10 meses mais não consegui na justiça mi negaram e vou ter que para de usa por conta do preço não tenho condições já infartado e carodias 98 por cento en tupida
Any side effects with this drug sir?
None whatsoever.
@@MarkFauntleroy Not true. Read the extensive instruction papers. Although uncommon, some have reactions, mostly mild. I believe it was around 3% of people.
They were asking his personal experience.... @@geod3589
Numerous ones
Does it hurt?
There is a quick sting and if you always use the same exact spot (every 2 weeks) you might get a bruise sometimes.
The version of repatha prescribed to me isn't the most fun medication in the world. It uses a thick gauge needle that takes a lot of pressure to fully pierce the skin, and (presumably due to the viscosity of the molecule) takes a lot of pressure to inject. Complicating this is the very small diameter of the plunger pusher. It is difficult for people with large fingers to get a good purchase on it.
I was a wee bit nervous but I did it today for the first time. Easy peasy. It did not hurt at all and I am not a fan of needles. The nurse did it the first time and about an hour later I had a headache, slept a bit and was fine. Curious whether I will get a headache today.
Repatha Instructions state you can stretch the skin instead of pinching. Also make sure it's at room temperature for 30 minutes out of the box. Try injection in fatty tissue if possible, I felt little discomfort when I did it in my stomach fat while not pinching. Hope this can help you...
Do these injections eliminate the need for statins?
Yes they do I've been taking it for 8 months without statins lower my cholesterols levels within the first 3 months big difference
The only problem is after 8 months of injecting myself with this I have lost interest in music movies and just life in general I don't know if it's because of this drug put my whole attitude has changed towards things I began feeling this way after the 4th injection
I used my thigh,
Just be careful people I've been injected myself for 8 months now cholesterol levels have dropped drastically but in the meantime after my 4th injection I started losing interest in everything I was a big fan of music and movies now I don't watch nothing I don't care about nothing I have a very low interest. just laying around sometimes just sit and stare at a blank TV set I've been speaking with my doctor about this and he's trying to tell me it's not from the drug but I'm pretty sure it is so be careful
Thank you for sharing🫶🏾🙏🏽☮️
The repatha I am prescribed looks absolutely nothing like this product. Mine is a simple plunger-type syringe.
Repatha does come in three different packages depending on your prescription, a syringe, a pen, and an infuser(which you stick on yourself and is electronic)
Thank you for sharing - everything fine but do not make the desinfaction like him - do not move or mop the little desinfaction-lobe back an forward - only in one direction!!!
Ich wurde auf repatha 420 umgestellt und habe gerade das Video angesehen. Schöner Mist.
This was painful for me.

Painful as if I was getting stabbed

Wrong how you do it. You`ve to take away the thumb immediately after you pusehd it.
It doesn't matter if you hold it or not..the guy was trying to help people and you went all negative..smh
Not true, you hold it down until it is empty and clicks.
