  • With the year now being 2024, what better time to try move abroad than now?!
I moved abroad around 10 years ago with my family from America to New Zealand, and in my almost 9 years of living here I've learnt so much about myself! Not only that, but my family has gotten much closer as a result.
So today I'm going to share four factors to consider when moving abroad, whether its to New Zealand, America or somewhere else in the world, you won't want to miss this video!

Hey Tara, thank you for uploading videos on your move to New Zealand and how life has been there. I really enjoy watching your videos! I read about the Wellington water crisis, were you affected by it? :/

Children who travel with their parents overseas grow up to be rational, strong minded, focussed, and relaxed individuals who grow to assess things openly and without external influence. They are more independent of thought, and not quick to jump into peer groups irrationally…awesome and well done.😂❤

Agreed! Has this been your experience? How old are your children?

My children are now contributing adults to society. We travelled as a family to Hong Kong, Australia, Tahiti, Cook Islands, and even Yucaipa Southern California… and I noticed the difference in the children growing up in that they had their own opinions and were able to articulate their thoughts and wants clearly. They were able to speak more confidently in front of crowds, and were able to see other people’s perspective respectfully, and without judgement. They also are not so easily influenced by peer pressure… I see your children and the strength and stability of their parents, and I envy what you are going into with your children. God bless you all, and I’m so proud to be a 62yr old who was blessed to grow up a kiwi, in the most beautiful part of our planet❤️❤️keep up the great videos…Kia kaha (stay strong) Arohanui (much love)❤️

Maybe? Could it not be the traveling but more the clear viewing of the world that you are instilling in them? I mean most people don’t have the opportunity to do this but have achieved same level of success. Nothing against doing this if you can . As a matter of fact I would argue it would be great.

In my earlier forties and am seriously considering moving abroad. Last year I took a month long trip to NZ and loved both islands. Taking another trip overseas trip but to Australia to explore but also see if I can see myself living there. I am very open growth mind set and getting rid of stuff. Love to chat with you.

Hi there, I’m a kiwi in Melbourne Australia, and if I’m being honest, I would rather be home in New Zealand, but the reality is, the money is better than home in NZ. I was an operations manager in NZ making what I thought was good money, until I came to Australia and found an advertisement looking for a Cleaner of private homes making $32 an hour, so I’m now here driving trucks on $39 - $45 an hour depending if it’s days or nights… They even have companies advertising for labourers for $30 an hour… So if you plan on moving to Aussie, you might be pleasantly surprised at what you may get paid. No tipping culture here because all staff of restaurants, fast foods etc get paid a full weeks wages without relying on tips to make ends meet!!!!

This was very informative and true....I grew up overseas and would love to hear your children's take on it. We are called "third culture kids" as we grew up in a culture, or cultures, of neither parent. Love your videos!

Do you want city environment Auckland, or country environment Waikato…the great thing with Waikato is the amazing things that you can do during your down time, from hiking, mountaineering, beaches, Hobbiton, vineyards, skiing, camping, bungee jumping, skydiving, pub crawls etc😂😂😂😂
