    Congrats, thank you for sharing! I’m a didactic year PA student and very interested in women’s health/OBGYN but keep getting discouraged as people keep telling me there’s no place for PAs in OBGYN, especially inpatient. You’re encouraging!!

      Ugh 😩. I hate when people spread incomplete or false info to you guys. PAs are used a lot in OB/GYN. So to tell you all different is annoying but at least now you know there’s a space for you.

      What was your path to becoming a PA student?

      It's going well, I'm in my clinical year now. I just finished my family medicine rotation and I'm doing psychiatry rotation now, I have surgery and emergency medicine next.
      My path to becoming a PA student. I did a BA in biology, shadowed 2 PA's, volunteered at hospice, got recommendation letters from them basically. Applied and got accepted.

    Hey Adanna! What was it like switching specialties? Was there any sort of orientation / onboarding / on the job training at the beginning of switching to OBGYN before you were expected to practice autonomously?

  • @Mindovermatter1987

    What is the average salary for an OBGYN PA? Are you able to pick a specialization while in PA School or after completing PA school?

    Do you see pediatric hospitalist PA's attending births/csections and rounding in postpartum? I'm interested in that aspect, but also pediatrics on the floor. Anyway, from your experience so far, you might know!

    I want to be a PA but I’m looking at all my medical options sand I have two questions- how do u get medical practice when you dont have a degree/completing undergrad? Also, can you deliver babies at the hospital by yourself?

    • @ShawtyReal01
      @ShawtyReal01 Год назад +2

      I assume you’re first by you’re first question. You are asking how do you get patient care experience without a degree. You could become a phlebotomist, CNA, or other entry healthcare positions
      Please disregard if I misunderstood your question
