6:27 Watching Lanz run straight into the deadly laser beam is hilarious as hell. Especially 5 seconds later, when Eunie says "Lanz, you've gotta stop being an idiot!"
Superboss: uses directional party wipe attack in the corner Lanz: runs into party wipe attack, instantly dies Team: revives Lanz Lanz: runs into next massive damage attack Eunie: "Lanz! You've gotta stop bein' an idiot!"
It's also based on builds. gems, classes, accessories, best arts and fusion arts, ourobouros levels and heroes. But yes it primarily relies on chain attacks but the best method to keep the chain attack going is getting 200% on orders each time you can since you get 3 refills for different classes and remember to use the healer first since if you don't you end the chain attack automatically
Not much, apparently - I tried a run (and got it in 2 chains) and ended up with about a 225% EXP Bonus on the overkill. I don't know how that bonus interacts with the final EXP (it doesn't seem to be a direct multiplier) and I ended up at level 40.
From what I can tell, yeah. Also it does more damage the earlier in the Launch it happens (which, if launched in a chain attack, would be right at the start). I don't know if any damage formulas have been determined to confirm/deny this for sure.
No, it is only proportional to 1. The strength of the smash Art itself (including Fusion Arts and their conditionals) and 2. The amount of time left on the launch.
What is your location in the game here? I honestly had no idea this boss even existed. wait - is this the boss in the deepest part of that cave in the lower malika wildwood? once I realized that superbosses get stronger each time you do a rematch, I immediately realized that I actually may have seen this superboss.
I still dont understand why they translated Instant Death as "Doom". It was called Instant Death in Xenoblade 1, and its not the same as Xenoblade 2's Doom, which functioned more like a traditional RPG Doom.
The Veneris Rings (one of the Legacy of the Seven accessories in Erythia) gives 20 TP. The Veneris Rings are in the ruins at the Lavi Sandbar, I believe - it's very late game before it opens up though.
There's the build notes linked in the description - it should give you an idea of how to set this up. Long story short, Taion is set up to take 1 damage from everything, which allows the party to survive long enough to get chain attacks in. Almost everyone else is set up (directly or indirectly) for chain attack damage.
Maybe. Though Gonzales is nearly impossible to get a watchable camera angle on, and King-Kings seems like it'll be a mess based on attempts I've tried.
@@misterzia01 and if you kill something on the attack that completes an Order, you're unable to end/cancel the chain attack until the order attack goes off.
I like how the last thing you hear after defeating that giant boss monster is Sena saying: "It should be time for Dinner soon, right?" like they would chop up that monster for the meat then have Manana cook it into a meal to then and eat it. xD
It's surprisingly close to possible in XC1 - the thing making it truly impossible is that each character has a minimum level. DE can level you down to a character's minimum but only Shulk/Reyn can go to 1. There's videos out there with a team of Lv1 Shulk/Lv1Reyn/Lv20 Dunban that can topple lock superbosses (those bosses have low agility to compensate for their level). I think multiple people have done these. I've done a handful of runs with a non-topple team that's slightly higher leveled: Lv22 Riki/Lv23 Melia/Lv10 Sharla, which cares nothing for agility.
@@volkeaeno277 I tryed but on the wii version so yeah... (Failure Smash Bros mele sound) I never thought about ether attack despite knowing agilitty don't impact here.
Past Xeno Games: “You can make a strategy based around dying, but that’s pretty suboptimal.”
Xenoblade 3: *”All strategies required death.”*
Take a shot every time Eunie screams she doesn't wanna die.
0:50 "Now, Starlight Kick... ouch!"
Looks like Melia *still* can't pull of that move without faceplanting, even with centuries of practice...
Her Chain order, despite the name (ether absolute), is a starlight kick where she doesn't fall.
Nah she had centuries of literally sleeping

This is more fun than speedrunning the boss
Part of me was expecting the invincibility cheat, mad kudos to you for not using that and actually doing this legit.
Not invincibility cheese? i am impressed. Also this video is proof how busted chain attacks are in this game.
In fairness, they are busted every gamr
@@mrbubbles6468Not so much in 1, they're tough to make work in normal play in 1.
Not to mention how much fun they are in 3. The music as well is amazing
Rite of illumination caught me off guard and I nearly got party wiped by it
Also crazy that every super boss is now done at level 1
I can't believe that you defeated that monster with the characters in level 1😮😮😮😮🤯🤯🤯🤯
Before I watch this, Im just gonna guess that the level 1 party taking down a level 200 superboss hinges primarily on the Chain Attack option?

Im curious to see how many levels you would get from this boss if you enbled overkill xp.

Lmao level 38 when you finished
is this in new game+ or something?
Wait, why does you Melia fall during Star Light Kick? Mine lands it
She only sticks the landing in her chain order, otherwise, she falls on her face.
Confused, you somehow killed the monster during chain attack without overkill popping up. Any thoughts?
You can overkill it off in the game's settings - I had it off to prevent overleveling in the main game and hadn't bothered to turn it back on.
