I’ve also seen poorly grounded regulators that will work poorly or not at all but be perfectly fine. Most of those problems are poor manufacturing decisions (ie plastic housings). Great video!!!
Neat... didn't know about these designs as I've only seen like in the older... Case garden tractors having the starter generator and other old garden small farm equipment. Neat, searching around looks common on some of the golf carts. Neat regulator DC to DC converter part I've not seen before either and like you said.. .does look like a thicker AC to DC rectifier sorta. Neat parts to keep in mind for custom mods. Thanks for sharing!
The OLD MAN at EP just wanted to say well put together video especially with the added explanation about what you were doing most would have been lost without it.
How do you have it wired that the engine is just constantly trying to start as soon as you turn the key? My golf cart only tries to start when I depress gas pedal.
Hey Medic , what would you advise me on what mower to buy since you have probably seen good and bad in all but a 42 or 48 " deck , rider or zero , thanks for your content.
Great video on a needed subject. But I'm still facing the issue that my starter acts like it always trying to start the engine on the compression stroke and struggles to turn the engine over for a few seconds. Valve adjustment was a good idea but with hydraulic lash adjusters (aka lifters) that proved out to not be leaking down, I don't know where to go on this issue..
Great video Jeremy. I jumped a wire from the DF post to the negative post on my battery. I have a brand new Starter Generator that I know is good because I put it on my other club car just to make sure it is working and it is. However, on my other cart that I am having issues with, when I do your jump wire test, I am only getting 12v-12.5v even if I rev it up. If the Starter Generator is good, what are some of the reasons why I am not getting the 16v-19v using this jump technique? I am totally stumped.

Very interesting with the diagnosis and jump wiring tutorial. Thank you for the great close-up filming and narrating. 😁
Great point grounding the reg terminal. With alternators, it's called full- fielding to get maximum output.

Great info Jeremy. There aren't many good videos on golf cart repairs. Now we have a REAL pro videoing them. Thanks for the great content my friend.

What if you do this and it doesn’t charge crazy but is charging at the right voltage but without the jumper it doesn’t charge at all
Sounds good.
The only sound quality I noticed sucking was that Nirvana rendition yesterday. 🤣👍🏼
Nice video Mr Medic 🙂
Bahahahaha
🤣🤣
Awesome tip!
Great Job !
So you leave the yellow wire on the voltage regulator unplugged while testing the starter/generator?
Either or it doesn’t matter
Thank you that helped
I have a John deere 06 that will not back up and fills like the pedal just is llose
Great !
