    Thank you for this tutorial, Paul. I've played classical guitar for over 40 years, but recently (21 Dec 2016) swtiched to piano due to osteoarthritis in my finger joints which made guitar playing painfull. I have watched your earlier tutorials on the Chromatique and Winterwind and took your advice to start practicing chromatic scales with 3-4-5 early in the piano practice to heart. I do not have many problems with my left hand (must be all those years of guitar practice), but my right hand pinky was very weak. I've noticed a significant increase in strength and flexibility since I've started practicing 3-4-5 chromatic scales.

      Paul Barton Paul, I love your videos, please keep making videos. It is unimagniable that Rachmaninoff practiced so slow. I am currently practicing Chopin Op.10 No.1

    It's obvious from watching and listening to your playing of this piece that it's not at all difficult and so little practice is necessary :-) You do make it look it easy. Of course it's not. Thank you for your suggestions and exercises.

      think to ask for more tutorials than there are already ?? I prefer hundreds of times the studies of Czerny, Cramer and Clementi! there is more repertoire than Chopin's studies

    En serio consideran este etude difícil? Deberían darle un vistazo a los etudes del Op.365, 399, 400, 692, 756 y 837 de Czerny y los 60 etudes de mereux

  • @czeynerpianistproducercomp7155
    @czeynerpianistproducercomp7155 6 лет назад +1

    Paul Barton, please do a tutorial on another series of Etudes! It's not all about Chopin! What if you do a series of tutorials on Op.365 by Czerny, The 80 etudes of Cramer, Gradus ad Parnassum by Clementi, Heller etudes, Marmontel, etc. Enough of Chopin was enough

    • @DavidArdittiComposer
      @DavidArdittiComposer 6 лет назад +7

      The Chopin sets must be the most commonly-played etudes, so it makes a lot of sense for Paul to do these before those you suggest. Chopin‘s etudes are also far better musically and more listenable for non-pianists than most of the others - hence their popularity.
