And maybe instead of the paper she was using she could have used parchment paper/ wax paper. If she made a mistake she could have peeled the paper away and broke the chocolate off. That maybe that also could have helped with the heat situation?
I'm a confiseur, and i love to paint with choclat. I always youse a aluminium container that stands on kind a heated plate. And I use choclatbutter to smoth it out and light the colour. Its real fun. Pardon my bad english.

Hey Kasey, to continue your "Making art with *insert food*" video series and in case you didn't know, you can take oignons skin, put it in boiling water and it makes a beautiful warm yellow natural ink. It's also used to dye fabric. It's extremly easy and cheap and beautyfull, could be a cute video+ 100% ecofriendly
I have an idea about what to use in the next painting with ... thing.How about bath bomb? Like,you pick a random bath bomb at a place that sells bath bombs and then you use the dust of the bath bomb that you picked to paint.I actually tried to colour with my bath bomb and it quite worked and some of them also has glitter in it so that would give an extra coolness to the painting.Just a thought :>
If you ever do this again you should definitely make a sketch and then put parchment paper over it so you could maybe make it 3D or pull it off the parchment like chocolate decorations for cakes and stuff :> Idk, it sounds cool

I have an idea, you should try Zen Tangling if you haven't already, it's pretty fun and calming if you can get the hang of it and very beautiful without much effort but I think it might be interesting for you to try

Hmm... maybe if you had just taken brown and white chocolate and made ganache out of it and then used gel coloring with the white chocolate to get different colors and mixed brown and white and gel colored chocolate, it might have been smoother. Ganache stays liquid longer than melted chocolate and is smoother to apply. Since you double boiled the chocolate anyway, making ganache would have been just one more step. But it might have helped. Anyway, cool video! I like the end result.
Random weird idea: can you paint with jelly, the kind you put on sandwiches and stuff, or jello? I don’t know why but I could see that being an interesting experiment. You could test how they work at different consistencies and heat? Just a random idea and had to put it out there.
Question, with something like this, how are you going to preserve it? The chocolate will probably oxidize and start getting that dusty look so I just wonder how you preserve your projects like this or the tea and coffee.

Painting with hair dye would be a great one, you cna use pasteliser or conditioner to make the colour change and you cna mix them like paints etc ❤️🤔

In the most recent Jazza competition an artist painted with hairdye, they even used UV colours and it was super cool!

@@mjpete27 Maybe even a offset spatula (the ones used for frosting cakes) like a pallet knife, to smooth the chocolate. Instead of a paint brush.

what if you create a painting using crepe paper? when they dissolve in water, their color comes of real easily so maybe you can use that as a paint?
