Seeing all these strawberries in Asia makes me want some, but the grocery stores only have hothouse berries with no flavor for crazy prices right now, lol.
@@HANASHIKIKOKADOSHITANN No I think it's greenhouse vs. fields. Japanese strawberries are all grown in greenhouses so they can do them in winter. In the western hemisphere our greenhouse berries are bred for travel, so Japan's winter strawberries are pretty good (at least according to what I found on Google.) But to me in my memories a good June strawberry grown outside is unbeatable.

Strawberry are 2,50-6€ in Germany per kg and in the winter you pay up to 12€ wich is crazy so I don't get people who buy them before May

It’s a mix of both in japan, but mostly a summer fruit along with watermelon
