I switch to the low carb diet in the prologue of Good Calories, Bad Calories over 14 years ago. Very animal based. My morning body temperature at that time was 94. Had been for decades. I live in Canada. Most doctors only give the useless blood test. Not all 3. So never diagnosed. But I had also lost my outer eyebrows. It took 10 years, but my morning body temperature went from 94 to 98.6. My eyebrows returned. My hair thickened and actually started growing past my shoulders without breaking. My forehead instead of getting bigger became smaller. Bald areas filled in. And I was in my mid 60s by then.
After a year I was still having issues and was actually worse and then found out it's because I took the healthy carbs out of my diet so no this carnivore does not work for everybody now after adding back healthy carbs through low sugar berries and fruit and some vegetables and also getting on selenium magnesium B12 complex and a few other supplements feeling much better yes I did lose 60 lb but my thyroid and cortisol levels took a hit so no carnivore is not work for me. And yes I'm still on natural thyroid hormone everyday of my life
Well that's not what my nutritionist said I took the advice of my nutritionist went back on healthy carbs and things seem to level off and I'm feeling much better

Hashimoto's is an autoimmune disease so it creates antibodies that are measurable in blood. My Hashis kicked in at 34 and it changed my life. I take thyroxine daily. Im 58. With supplementation of synthetic thyroid i do ok. Carnivore is great and i maintain easily without hassle. My dog also eats better now i understand to get the animal goodness in: beef, lamb, eggs, butter, some fish - i like it simple.
Went carnivore and I now also take Lugol's Potassium Iodine and selenium. It's been 4 months and I'm about to get my labs done. Hoping, but I do know it takes time.
Carnivore 13 months now. Started Lugols at 9 months. My sweet spot is 5 drops per day which I believe comes out to 5'000 mcg. Anything less, I feel that I have less energy, anything more, I get this metallic taste in my mouth, and I can also smell the iodine in my urine, and trouble sleeping. I have been on synthroid for maybe a decade. I have had my prescription reduced twice since carnvore. I doubt that I even need it at all now. Doctors are reluctant cut it off. I expect another reduction with my next lab cycle. I don't notice any difference whether I take it or not. It is the only med that I take, so I am not worried about it.
Imported hard cheeses, especially those made from raw milk, such as pecorino Romano or Kefalotyri are rich in iodine and easier to digest. Yes, it is carnivore
I have been on carnivore for 1.5 years. I started to supplement iodine about 3 months ago and one small little drop gave me crazy anxiety. My heart felt like it was going to explode. Im guessing that carnivore had fixed my symptoms and i was to late to supplement iodine. From now on im getting some doctors advice. Just not from the V.A.
Iodine is a halide. There are iodine receptors throughout the body. When the body is deficient in iodine , other halides such as bromine will take the space on the receptors. It may have been a detox symptom. Dr David Brownstein is one of few competent doctors who understands how iodine works if you care to research further.

Also, when you lose weight, you have to adjust your thyroid. That’s what happened to me. I ended up with hyper thyroid because my medicine was too strong because I lost weight. Interesting.
Everybody is different, we need to remember that. I call my way of eating animal protein based. Not strict carnivore. Whether it fixes my thyroid remains to be seen. Regardless of what people say is possible, I feel better with the inclusion of some carbohydrates.
Nodules are the start of thyroid problems. Watch Dr. Brownstein’s interviews and start his iodine and salt protocols. Animal based is best for all hormones.
