My TM700 does the same thing, and it's already 3 years old. Not much improvements on the part of Panasonic in all that time. Only the LCD monitor has been improved from my model, and possibly low lighting sensitivity (although I've yet to see that for myself). I think that the fully optical, non-hybrid O.I.S. stabilization of my TM700 is even more efficient on full zoom shots... And I can hear that wind noise is still an issue outdoors with the internal mics...

The stabilization works great.
But when you zoom it stops working after you go zooming out.
