I will never watch another episode now frank has gone, just like the new top gear, it will not be the same. I wish frank all the very best and I thank you all for the great shows that you have made. You will be sadly missed on my TV.
Every show has its dominant character which was Mike. The script was that Frank was the one to appear as the one to be picked on. I seen another video where Frank was saying how he had to do all the heavy lifting, yet it was Mike that who seen crawling everywhere and lowering down the heavy stuff. It was Mike that appeared to load all the heavy items. Substance abuse can play a toll on those around you. It appeared that when Frank fell apart, he really fell apart. Lost his girlfriend, had back surgery, and went to rehab all during Covid. It may have been hard on those he worked with to deal with it all, especially the addiction. You never know how much or how long Frank’s addiction played a part in the partnership on the show. Remember people watching the show see a very edited version of the life of these characters.
I know people that medicate back pain with alcohol because they say the Pharma version of help is intolerable and the side effects worse even to the point of inability to properly function on the job. Not condoning because I almost never drink and wouldn't care if it was outlawed but this is just a statement of some of the reality of what people are going through You Don't See.
On quite a few shows you could see Frank clearly trying to get something valuable for next to nothing and you could also tell in some episodes the persons whose house they were picking kind of reralise Frank was trying to mug them off, Mike stepped in quite a few times to regain the person trust and also tell Frank its clearly worth more and Frank would then sort of say - oh yeh I hadnt noticed the signature on the bottom - or - yes true Mike I hadnt realised actually how good condition it was now its in the light - so yeh Frank was very dodgy on some shows, and in the much latter shows Frank almost had bust-ups with people they were picking.
The show was a terrific concept from the beginning, and YES, Frank is missed terribly. Mike as his friend should have done everything to help bring his friend back. Touching on issue with the show itself… Having worked in the industry there is a little well-known role within “reality TV” programming, and that’s the role of the script-supervisor(s). Also one who might embellish the episode/series to fit or walk along a motivated direction. TV is about “programming” for entertainment, informative or manipulating purposes. There is a lot of money on the line and it can’t be wasted.
I speak from experience, when your health fails and you have to fight to get through every single day, everyone you thought Loved and cared about disappear just like the sun at the end of every day. It's just the SAD way the World works
Just remember, you lost surface level friends and acquaintances, people who only benefitted somehow from being around you. When that was no longer the case, you were disposable. I got injured at work and was unable to finish out my career after putting in 26 years. I was no longer a valuable asset to the employer, and the "friends" I thought I had faded away within a few months. The less than a handful that remained are true friends. It's devastating to lose your sense of self and try to reinvent yourself. I learned the hard way that, although I threw myself wholeheartedly into my career and placed far too much of my being into who I was at work. My employer, as a whole, only saw me as a number, nothing more. "Hero" one day, zero the next.
Wolf is a Punk and Danielle's right in the same seat with him seems like Mike can't keep much of anybody around other than Danielle what's up with that
Frank made Mike tolerable, it is all about attitude. Danielle was the business maven keeping the coordinates rolling right along. The juxtaposition of Frank and Mikes knowledge was very entertaining. The banter between them always felt slightly tense but good natured enough to make great television. Their commitment to finding a good hunt was what I looked forward to.
I have to agree. When I first watched the show, I hated both of them but over time I think I've gotten used to the two of them together. I won't watch the new season. The spell has been broken.
Mike was quick to pay higher prices for items even after the owner gave his asking price but Frank always tried undercutting people's prices. I heard many times how folks though Frank was stingy with his wallet by his constant trying to lower their prices.
Best comment yet. Frank is our connection to fame doing the fun stuff we can dream of, and the arrogance of the other "actor's" is pathetic. It's a show, and people in showbiz are there for the accolades and admiration, ego strokes and power exchange so of course they are narcissists, duh. What makes a character great is what they do when they won't benefit from you. I'm proud of anyone that seeks help like Frank did. I can only imagine how hurt and abandoned he must feel. When seeking treatment what one needs is a solid support system and Mike failed as a friend and as an empathetic human being. He and she have shown their tru colors and are such a turn off. The sad thing is if they've been friends that long, and if narccistic influence the manipulation and abuse has been gradual and the trauma bond is concrete. You never know what someone is going through, on either side. I sat with my anger one day and learned her true name is grief...
We love you Frank Fritz! I graduated high school the same year they did and Frank was always my favorite. 😀 Several years back I looked up Frank's address and sent him one of my favorite books as an appreciation for the joy he brings to the show. Well from what I understood these two were best friends since middle school if that's the case and fame and fortune got between them that is really sad!!!
Not just them... he was with his wife for 30 yrs. Married for 10 yrs, and she is divorcing him too. He has always been a low class narcissist. Now he sits and brags about himself while his little brother, jersey John or whoever is with Him, nod along at his sanctimonious self serving compliments... he has tried to make Frank look like a fool since the beginning. He brags about that too.... Mike has always been an ahole, it was just Frank's wholesomeness balanced it out. Now Mike is for on his own in the spotlight and all those horrible things come to the forefront.
They filmed parts of episodes near me on more than one occasion. I know two of the ones that were on the show but they dont know each other. They both independently told me the same thing. Frank was a great guy who would spend time with them off camera during the filming etc. Mike was a diva and came on site and did his thing and basically said as little and spent as little time as absolutely needed then disappeared again. Just as I expected it would be after watching the show a few seasons.
C'mon Frank make a American Pickers series of your own, everyone wants to see you do it. I'll miss Daniel, I had a soft spot for her, hang on that's not quite accurate, lol.
I stopped watching this show years ago. They ruined prices for many hobbies with their over priced offers on things that were worth nothing even close to what they offered.
I saw them at a gas station once. Frank has to use the restroom and took longer than Mike could tolerate. He told Frank directly to his face, "I hope you shit yourself to death". I now know Mike was referring to Frank's chrons disease
Pretty damn sad you're not willing to help a friend of 40 years deal with his illness or any other issues. I never did like the way Mike always belittled Frank. I won't watch any more either. Mike has too much of an ego problem and Danielle is a ditz, showing off those tattoos. Really?! Not everyone finds that attractive!
i never knew any of this, though i do remember mike mentioning that frank had lost weight and mike talking about frank losing girl friends. it looks like they might just need to start over again, i saw some of the new show and the chemistry just wasn't there, like in the earlier days.
It damn sure sucks to see friends like them two just up and not speak to each other again. Kinda weird! But it is what it is, I just hate to see friends like that let ANYTHING come between that friendship
Sometimes people forget the money power and fame and the feelings of second place change people everyday and it's done so since Humanity began and it will to the end which is not far away.
Can't blame Wolfe or Frank. It's emotionally draining being friends with an addict and watching their health deteriorate for years. Frank's probably happier than he's been in years away from the show, 65lbs lighter and clean
Spencer Beauchamp, allegations, lacking proof, are invalid. Frank was/is not an addict or a drunk. He has Crohn's disease and had back surgery after a motorcycle accident. Do some research instead of making DUMBASS comments.
Colby's empty word salad vomit is pretty much exactly like the content on the actual show, which I haven't viewed in at least 5 years. Not missing it in the least. That's among the furthest things from reality.
Are Mike Wolfe in sheep's clothing and Danielle a couple? It seemed like when Frank was gone, those two looked like a couple. The hugs seemed to be a bit too long, I wonder?
Ur both idiots... it's frank... being self centred and willing to screw over old people for his own gain.. mike and Daniel have real relationships with those they deal with...but frank... no one ever has been like let's go for a beer after this... z
Would love to see Frank back when he feels good... would be great to see Mike and Frank go out separately with their own crew... they'd get more done and they'd probably be happier.
If Frank was a soft/weak minded person, like so many nowadays. He'd play the victim of addiction/disease card. But Frank seems to be a solid dude! Good on you pal. 👍 P.S. Colby still looks hot.
First of all, Mike owns the entire business 100%, Frank was never part owner or did he ever have any involvement other than a friend/cast member. 2nd, It's not "her" show/series, she is simply an employee of Mikes. You have to remember folks its TV and TV shows can be cut throat and are only interested in what makes the network $$$.
For me it was the yin and yang of Mike and Frank, honestly Frank made Mike more palatable. Business may be Mike's, but for me the show is dreadful without Frank.
Hid the drinking naw not really he got locked up a few years back for driving down the wrong side of the road drunk and on some sortve pills not sure who's vehicle he was driving
Did anyone ever stop to think that their personal life is none of our business. Would you want every little thing of your life out there for the world to see.. I would not. 🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂🙃🙂
This was my favorite show, it's what inspired my channel. Frank was an important part of the show, I don't think Mike realized just how important, hopefully they can make amends and reboot the show. It generated a lot of interest for the hobby.

By chance, I wound up sitting next to Wolf at a bar. I didn't know who he was because I had never watched the show. He said he worked for HBO. And I said: "Oh yeah...I saw the truck outside. Evidently he wasn't offended, that I didn't know who he was. He was a pretty "straight up guy". We talked about some of the places he lived that I knew and, of course, we talked about Gettysburg. A very personable guy! Not what one would expect from a TV star. After a few minutes, though, fans of the show spotted him and came over to talk to him and probably get his autograph. I had an appointment I had to go to....so I took my leave. A very pleasant conversation, though!

Making min 300% and being shit to people to stick to that. While Mike... if they offered less than appropriate he would say No... I will give u fair price... frank... no way.. slimy selfish. Don't know what show u all were watching
I'm happy for Frank for getting the help he needs

Frank always reminded me of Fred Mertz ( William Frawley ) He had issues with drinking too !
Stevie Wonder in the fog could see Frank was being treated as a second hand citizen
He didn't care as much as Mike when it came to the story behind things and he low balled many
"Let's make fun of Frank for being fat" -- Danielle
"Yeah, and then I'll grow a beard. And hire my dumb brother." -- Mike
Seems like Mike wanted his brother on the show for the last few years. I don't watch the show anymore.
I always got the feeling Robbie was porking Danielle.
What???? Robbie and danielle 🤢🤮
If Danielle really said that about Frank, that's the pot calling the kettle black
This comes from a woman who is proud of her daughter stripping on only fans. Consider the source. I actually didn't know people actually listened to her or her kids speak
I will never watch another episode now frank has gone, just like the new top gear, it will not be the same.
I wish frank all the very best and I thank you all for the great shows that you have made. You will be sadly missed on my TV.
There going to miss you guys not watching the show lol 😂
@@TruckerDave215 Last episode was September 2021. 2022, it's all reruns.
Exactly, Top Gear with self absorbed, Matt LeBlanc sucks!
Back issues can do that. Hope he got past it.
Oh give me a break she knew exactly what she was doing
Did you even watch the video? People are amazing creatures , amazing
Yes. She is so hateable. I stopped watching once she was forced upon us.
The show was a terrific concept from the beginning, and YES, Frank is missed terribly.
Mike as his friend should have done everything to help bring his friend back.
Touching on issue with the show itself…
Having worked in the industry there is a little well-known role within “reality TV” programming, and that’s the role of the script-supervisor(s).
Also one who might embellish the episode/series to fit or walk along a motivated direction.
TV is about “programming” for entertainment, informative or manipulating purposes.
There is a lot of money on the line and it can’t be wasted.
Greedy friends suck
@@kevinbrooks1104 Amen, Kevin!!

1) screw tell-alls
2) ALCOHOLISM not "alcohol addiction"
3) "Poor Frank" is worth $6,000,000
The definition of ALCOHOLISM is literally: "Alcoholism is an addiction to drinking alcohol"

She didn't have the balls to cross Mike or to explain what really happened. Pathetic.

I speak from experience, when your health fails and you have to fight to get through every single day, everyone you thought Loved and cared about disappear just like the sun at the end of every day. It's just the SAD way the World works
DM, that is such a sad comment. 😔 And if you experienced it personally, I'm so sorry!!! 💕 Big ((hugs)) to you..
Wolf is a Punk and Danielle's right in the same seat with him seems like Mike can't keep much of anybody around other than Danielle what's up with that
I think Mike and Danielle were having a affair
She pegs him
Don't you think Mike's daughter looks a little bit like Danielle
I noticed they were always touchy feely on camera. I can only imagine what went on after hours! Yeeehawww!
Poor Frank , His side kick I saw through .. What a jerk not going to see him ..
He cheated on his wife
@@thedude8046 And? Is that your business? Do you know any of these people personally? Lol
I have to agree. When I first watched the show, I hated both of them but over time I think I've gotten used to the two of them together. I won't watch the new season. The spell has been broken.
This is all lies and slander
Mike was quick to pay higher prices for items even after the owner gave his asking price but Frank always tried undercutting people's prices. I heard many times how folks though Frank was stingy with his wallet by his constant trying to lower their prices.
I’ll take frank drunk over mike sober any day.

I imagine a bite on the ass is better than a knife in the back.
Well from what I understood these two were best friends since middle school if that's the case and fame and fortune got between them that is really sad!!!
Your Right All The Best You.
Now Mike is for on his own in the spotlight and all those horrible things come to the forefront.
always fame and fortune that destroys relationships of any kind
"HER show?" I thought she was just hired to keep the books and answer the phone - the real talent was with the two pickers.
I never heard of this show. I just clicked onto this video but it was worth it just to see that little, red car! (1:14) So cute!🚗💓😊

This show jumped the shark several years ago. Put it out of it's misery.
Only americans would believe that show is real.
It damn sure sucks to see friends like them two just up and not speak to each other again. Kinda weird! But it is what it is, I just hate to see friends like that let ANYTHING come between that friendship
It's sad yes
Sometimes people forget the money power and fame and the feelings of second place change people everyday and it's done so since Humanity began and it will to the end which is not far away.
@bevvaor2320 Hate to be bearer of news...BUT...Frank is dead now....
This damn video was pointless, I got nothing out what Danielle had to say
The show was never all the great

Are Mike Wolfe in sheep's clothing and Danielle a couple? It seemed like when Frank was gone, those two looked like a couple. The hugs seemed to be a bit too long, I wonder?

Mike was cocky toward the end, mike ruined it in my book. Sad, loved the show. I believe money and mikes dominance ripped them apart. Get well frank!
The big girl ruined the show. She was a wedge between the two friends
Ur both idiots... it's frank... being self centred and willing to screw over old people for his own gain.. mike and Daniel have real relationships with those they deal with...but frank... no one ever has been like let's go for a beer after this... z
Frank was the show, it is not worth watching now , I wish all the best for Frank, you are loved for who you are.
Would love to see Frank back when he feels good... would be great to see Mike and Frank go out separately with their own crew... they'd get more done and they'd probably be happier.
I love Frank, Mike, and Danielle! I don't care if it could be scripted. PICKERS is a great show. I wish for only the best for of all of them

This told me nothing don’t waste your time.
If Frank was a soft/weak minded person, like so many nowadays. He'd play the victim of addiction/disease card. But Frank seems to be a solid dude! Good on you pal. 👍

By chance, I wound up sitting next to Wolf at a bar. I didn't know who he was because I had never watched the show. He said he worked for HBO. And I said: "Oh yeah...I saw the truck outside. What do ya do?" Thinking he was probably a crew member of an HBO production, there in Gettysburg. He said "I'm a member of the cast". "Oh" I said.
