I remember RFE (still in existence) was financed in a way by the American People - by way of tax money. “Crusade for freedom” sounds Francoist (the main RFE transmitters were located in Spain) and also is a coverup
I've always enjoyed a good dik-dik pic... And I find Orson very funny, but I really enjoy Tom Poston's "reasons" for who he chooses. I love this composition for the panel.
Man #2 in Game #1 Lady #3 in Game #2 Man #2 in Game #3 12:52 Any man will tell you that "after beat" means a long satisfied exhale and a clean up with a towel.
Actually when i joined the statistic was 1 out of 8 American men that actually join finish the 5 year contract. That was in 2013. 2013-2018. I had an American in my basic training that deserted.
@@leonnqt1dxxclecavalier369 I do not believe that the Legion engages in the sadistic treatment he indicated. The training is very strenuous and can be compared only to Ranger training in the US military. I was surprised at the uninformed questions asked. It is not suited for most American men who have been brought up on the unrigorous and soft American lifestyle.
17:08 I don't get why you lose US citizenship by joining the French Foreign Legion, considering France is an Ally. Maybe the rules have changed since then, but even Oswald who defected to an enemy country returned and kept his citizenship. I wish we found out more about his story. Bud Collier was not too good as a host. All he does is say, "you get a carton of Winstons and God bless you". Garry Moore was so much better; he talked to the real ones, had a good sense of humor, etc. Tom Poston I find annoying; Peggy and Kitty are the best panelists. Orson Bean made it to 90, but then was hit by a car crossing the street in Venice, CA in 2020.
Best comment by Peggy "where do you keep your batteries." Poston lost his cookies!
My favourite panel. Orson Bean is hilarious.
What a great show - on the day that Kitty didn’t have time to change out of her housework clothes and Peggy got caught in a hurricane!
What a shame they couldn't all be as smart as Kitty.
Kitty seemed to be in a cross mood for the first time. Startling!
"Hoof & Horn" Magazine! I love it! And Peggy 🤣
Kitty was an absolute gem. She is greatly missed.
24:37 It is hard to believe that there was ever a time when this was true. But from 1945 - 1989 everyone just got used to it.

Peggy, like a great many people, knows that there is a language called Swahili, but doesn't know where it's spoken. (I know Swaziland and Kenya.)
Wrong! In Swaziland they speak Swazi
I don't think they speak swaili in Swaziland.
Swahili is primarily spoken in Kenya and what is today Tanzania, as well as several other countries in East Africa--often as a lingua franca.

An American deserting the French Foreign Legion - Irony!
I am not American

OMG , it's Peggy's hair wig !!!!
3:08 "If I ever get to Swahili." What a schmuck.
Incredible legs on that 2. lady. O!M!G!

You're pledging allegiance to a foreign country. Doesn't matter it's an ally.
Fire a horse- acupucture.
Orson Bean is not funny. He's a try hard. Tom is funnier.
Maybe it's me, but I just don't find Orson Bean funny at all.
Thanks Jay. I guess that clears that up.
It's you-- and me.
Greg, LOL!
He reminds me of Tony Randall.
No, he's NOT funny. But he's a good actor. I loved him on Dr. Quinn!
I never thought Orson Bean was funny either. On this ep, he was annoying.
