Follow up video on recalibration on the DCC is up!
I just got done installing these springs on my MK7. Thanks for the video!!
Looks great! I got the same springs on mine as well as low pro tires on TSW Sebrings. The springs make it handle great as well.
Great vid man loved how u said rear twice but was the front had me dying but love the vid dawg
I did just lowering springs on my 2012 TDI, without upgrading the entire strut, and within a year all my shocks leaked....it was great. Lol. They seemed to have put too much stress on the constantly compressed shocks combined with Cleveland roads. No, bueno.
Just got mine last week, definitely needs these springs on it
You won’t be disappointed!
Looks soooo much better!
Cant wait to get wheels in the spring time and it’ll be sitting nice
Looks fantastic
Great video man! From one tech to another tech to another thanks for suffering so that other don't have to. Greatly appreciate the information and tips. How's the ride stiffness compared to stock?
It’s definitely stiffer, I’d say it’s a little more stiffer then when you would have it in sport mode if that makes any sense. It’s definitely not a horrible ride tho.
@@mr.boosted9983 I see, if it's tolerable then that works. I wouldn't want my car to ride like a civic 😅
@@Vvelocity75 In my opinion I don’t think it’s a bad ride. I’d like to say you’d be okay with it
Solid video. Do you have a follow-up regarding the re-calibration with VCDS / OBDEleven yet? I'm looking to do this on mine soon, but I'm looking for a little more information.
Not yet, I forgot my password for my OBDEleven and I'm currently waiting on a respond to get it reset :( I will have a follow up on that soon!
Hey man! The video is up for the re-calibration with obdeleven!
@@mr.boosted9983 watched that, cool stuff appreciate it. Getting this done in a couple weeks... 👍
@@StephenWgames not a problem man! Sorry it took so long! Sweet ride by the way
Does h and r make lowering springs for a 2019 Jetta comfortline? I have the base model
Hey man, I have the same car! I am having the same H&R lowering springs put on my 19 GLI 35th Anniversary today and I am very excited to see how it turns out! Did you put spacers on your wheels? I’m going to want to, I just don’t know what size to get.
Well I want to get different wheels but can’t decide what I want but what I have read people are going with 15mm front and rear for spacers
Have you been satisfied with ride quality?
I’m looking into these for mine too. But not sure if I should go H&R or some cheaper ones, seems like most people are going with the H&Rs. Thanks
Very, as long as you re calibrate your dcc after it’s just a little bit stiffer then normal and harder when in sport obviously.
I installed it for my mine H&R sport spring set and their website says a 1-inch drop front and rear. But after installation, my front had a little bit more drop than the rear... How is yours, exactly?
I forgot to get a measurement before I installed them but my front is definitely lower then the rear. I think it’s mainly cause of the more weight in the front then the rear
@@mr.boosted9983 Yes, I also thought like you, thanks for the response. Have a good ride bro!🤙🏻
@@3SUSKUN3 you too 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Hey mr boosted. Are you planning on going stage 1 if so is your car under warranty still? Are you worried about transmission problems or blowing your turbo?
I am, just not sure when, no matter who you go through tuning will void it, I know APR offers a warranty with their tune. I’m more worried about my clutch then anything else to be honest
@@mr.boosted9983 I’m new to glis and cars as a whole I have a automatic 7 speed dsg do I have anything to worry about ?
@@masonblack2599 no you should be fine, theirs plenty of mk7 glis running around on stage 2 with the DSG
You think youll go with Solo Werks later?
Why does my buddies 21 GLI not have axle bolts on the inside? It has the bolts on the passenger side, but not the drivers. What is the best way to disconnect the axle?
Are you talking about the bolt that's on the hub or the triple square bolts?
Yo did these settle any lower or are you still at that 1 inch drop?
They did a little bit
Hello again lmao I’m sorry to be the biggest spam on your page but I’m thinking of doing the same cool air intake as you. I’m worried it will offset the air to fuel balance and Ifs there’s anything that could go wrong with it being installed like high idle anything like that that’s again google doesn’t help much. Edit this should be good under warranty aswell right ?
You’re fine man! Always happy to help people out! I don’t believe it will, I haven’t noticed any fuel issues. About the warranty it will just depends on the dealer some are cool with a few bolt ons other don’t want you to touch your car at all. I would just call your local dealer and asked them
What size are your wheels? 18 or 19?
18
What were the torque specs?
For which bolts
@@mr.boosted9983 the drive…. All of them. All the bolts.
3-4 uga duga’s I think I said for the main bolts in the video like axle bolts etc
