Literally this ride has been a walk since basically it’s inception….. it’s the magnet launch version of a Vekoma boomerang. I enjoyed it but it was basically a test model for dragster and Maverick. Gemini has huge ride capacity, way more engaging, and also a great mid year non super intimidating coaster to get your kids to start trying bigger coasters. It also gets far more riders. Sometimes coaster enthusiast need to think outside of what they prefer and what really wows people…. That also means not trying to balance a park by building new nostalgia…. What I mean is all these enthusiast clamoring for a stupid wooden coaster built by GCI. I’m sorry but I want to see something mind blowing and if it’s going to be mind blowing it’s going to be steel. A GCI would draw in enthusiast for the first year or 2 and then no one would care and it would get bumpy as hell and basically unridable for me after about 5 to 6 years. Also a woody would obstruct most of the entire view of the lake, I want something like a very intense launch Mack coaster with very different elements than Maverickz

ill miss it, however, something that would make me feel better would be if it was to make room for a NEW intamin impulse, as that company just released their new model for the ride type, i feel cedar point would want to have one of there own but i swear if they put in a stupid parade or a stage, im going to exchange some words with whoever decided to remove it
Intamin won’t be selling coasters to cedar fair anymore. To many problems and spare parts cost a lot of Money. The relationship between the two companies has fallen apart, as well as their relationships with pretty much every other park in North America.
@@codywilson7521 You don't know that... none of us are in corporate. Only corporate knows any future projects/investments and any possible manufacturers they are considering, none of that is public information. Be careful what you believe on the internet. Lots of misinformation out there.
I think the coaster they are hinting that will replace it is a B&M surf coaster because the book the lady was reading had Mantis on it not Rougarou so it could be hinting a next generation stand up like what the surf coaster could be also it’s by the beach so a great location for a coaster themed to surfing

I would imagine with them removing a former record breaking coaster...and the 2022 CF budget being what it is (massive)...and CF stating construction is not starting until Q4 this year (this can all be found on the June quarterly conf call) that something huge is coming to CP either in 2022 or 23 depending how long it takes to build.
Alright hear me out, I personally think it'll be the vertical lsm launch Intamin model that Intamin announced last year. It has multiple launches, different inversions, relatively inexpensive, very very thrilling, and takes up no space
Not to be rude....but you called their ad campaign "low budget"....it's actually brilliant. I think everyone has learned a lesson after RideEntertainment's outlandish/hyped up press release for a "world's first/record breaking/world renowned coaster"....only for the final product to be a 75 ft tall Eurofighter with 3 inversions. You never ever want to over hype and under deliver. Cedar Point knows how to keep people entertained/guessing while having fun with it. Is a coaster coming? Is a flat coming? Is nothing coming? Who knows but this video they released doesn't hype you up like that press release did. They know how to market. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️

I think they should move it into frontier town. With a new paint job and props of broken houses around it, it’d fit really well!

I love Wicked Twister. I think it’s smooth and though maybe not as fun as Gemini, is a more intense coaster. Also, Gemini takes up more space.
I will still be pushing that gravity group recreating the cyclone safety coaster layout would be awesome but I know that’s basically impossible
