Buying a studio, a house and giving money to your family should never be considered “blowing money” I get maybe it wasn’t the smartest way to spend it, but it wouldn’t qualify as being wasteful like buying cars and jewelry
Buying a studio was actually brilliant. He could charge other artist for studio time if nothing else didn't work for him. That is something I would consider doing and I'm not in the music business.
