How to Install a Corro Protec Powered Anode Rod

  • I show the steps to install a Corro Protec powered anode rod. You will need a 1 1/16 inch socket wrench to remove the standard anode rod and a 1 3/16 inch socket to install the powered anode rod. The power cord is 12 feet long to plug into a standard outlet.

    you don't think the Teflon tape will interfere with grounding of anode rod to tank?

    Did you expect that dirty water to come out of the faucet?

      When you drain water from the water heater and then refill it, any debris or buildup on the bottom gets stirred up. So you usually get some cloudy water.

      Yes when ever you stir things around inside that water heater it will kick up settled sediment off the bottom of the heater it’s normal
