My hubby and I have always liked the idea of a Canada and/ or Alaska cruise. This vlog has sealed the deal. Definitely his retirement cruise in a couple of years. Thank you for sharing your experience with is x
Greetings from Canada🇨🇦 . I look forward to Friday so I can enjoy a cup of tea and watch your always wonderful vlogs! This one was amazing. My province is very used to lots of snow during winter. The scenery you were treated to was much nicer than snow covered everything. Sending loads of thanks for sharing your smiles and travels.
My family and I just came home from an Alaska cruise. We did the train up to Inspiration point only and back again as we were the last train of the season. The scenery you saw was covered in snow for us and it was magical. My favourite excursion of the trip. 😊
Greetings from New Zealand. I am so enjoying your videos of your trip through Canada & Alaska. We did a very similar trip through Canada and a Koningsdam cruise in late July this year. I wish we were still there. It was so spectacular. Thanks for bringing all the memories back via your videos.
We have Banf and Jasper along with rocky mountaineer gold leaf and a celebrity Alaska cruise booked for next summer - loving the vlogs and making us even more excited 😊
Skagway was by far my favorite stop of my cruise in October. I went rock climbing, and even on a drizzly day it was absolutely amazing. From the rock face, we could see the train across the way!
I`m just so happy for you that this birthday trip was so amazing! I have to tell you that I`ve seen several Alaskan cruises on you tube over the years, but the detail and information you provide on all your travels has been so much more informative! I was surprisingly moved by the hostess on the Red Onion tour`s information on the women of Skagway and how they became bastions of business through the years; must have taken an amazing amount of strength of character. I really am enjoying this series so much, whether it`s just that it`s closer to home for me (I`m on Vancouver Island) or what I don`t know; but I`ve been watching for a long time now and I think this is my favourite series you`ve done. From a British Canadian subscriber.
Oh wow words like these coming from a local really does mean so much to us, this adventure has been amazing and getting to relive it through our blogs has been the icing on the cake, thanks for your support.
As soon as I saw the river below, I thought "Carole isnt going to be happy so close to the edge" I have to agree the balcony dose look the best spot for sail aways, plus a decent lounger too.
Now I've seen your amazing videos I know I must save like mad to do this cruise! I will start by de-cluttering & selling unwanted clothes & items, I've done this before & managed to achieve a good bit to put toward a family holiday to Disney World! Thanks both for being such great fun to watch & so inspirational !
Hello Paul and Carole lovely flog of the white pass railway we did this excursion a few years back we were on Celebrity Solstice it was a last minute decision to go as we had booked Alaska for the following year but changed it we only had 3 weeks to get organized. We never regretted it as long haul travel is too much now.
Hi both, Another great day in Alaska, your talks are very informative & interesting 😊. Do you remember Instant Whip???😂😂,think that was nicer than Angel Delight 😂😂.
I loved my railway trip so much! We just went to the top of the border and then turned around, because it was taking much too long to get through Customs then. May ‘22 - tons of snow and SO beautiful! Then I walked to the Red Onion Saloon when I got back. I think you got a good deal. Great video!
Not doing this train is absolutely my biggest regret of my Alaska cruise last year. We naively thought we could just buy a ticket after we docked, but we had 3 (I think) other cruise ships in with us, so it was absolutely RAMMED all day. Glad to experience it through you guys though!
We had a guy on our tour and cruise who didn’t book a single thing and was convinced he could just get a taxi at each port to do what everyone else had booked, it goes without out saying that he chose poorly 😊😊
Boy Howdy did you ever get your money’s worth from that telescope doodad YOUR pics are fabulous I think you got full value from the land/cruise junket too WHAT an awesome incredible adventure WOW I am a Martian I am so jealous Looking forward to your next vlog this one is gonna hard to beat the landscape is as cool as the Rockies living in Nevada you get extra points for going to the Brothel for scientific purposes… 😂😂😂
This vlog certainly brought back some happy memories of my Alaska and Yukon holiday. Skagway seems even more touristic than when I visited back in the nineties. We took the train up to the pass and we were lucky enough to have a steam engine taking us up. We didn’t return to Skagway but our coach picked us up and took us on to Whitehorse where we stayed the night. There is no doubt, the rail journey is certainly one of the great railway journeys of the world and another experience not to be forgotten. I still wear my Yukon gilet bought in Whitehorse. Somewhere I still also have my Yukon gold from a panning day but where it got to in my move to the Manchester area, I have no idea. Looking forward to the next episode.
Wow your trip sounded awesome too! Glad we bought back some fabulous memories for you , we’ve already decided we want to go back so your trip could well be added to our list.
Another great video. I particularly liked the sailaway: the clouds were amazing. I would have made the same menu choices in Club Orange as you, Carole: it looked delicious.
Wonderful and fun. In Canada we call them sidewalks also. But when they are made like that they are called boardwalks. I would love to go on that trip. Also I watch ferries in Japan travel vlogs. The ground crew stand on shore and wave goodbye to the ferry when it leaves. Sometimes they have light sabres. Everyone on the ferry stands on deck and waves also.
Loved Skagway, such a cool port of call. The train is amazing and your video is so much better than mine. Might need to get a pole and 360, or just enjoy your amazing content. ❤
Enjoying your Vlog, We did a similar trip in 2019, 2 days in Banff then the Rocky Mountaineer followed by a 10-night Alaska cruise with Cunard, could do it all again, maybe our favorite trip although the 13-night Azamara from Sydney to Perth earlier this year is right up there as well, Holland America for the first time around Japan and Taiwan is our next adventure, can't wait! Keep up the great work with your Vlogs 👍
Love the White Pass Railway, done it twice now on 2 different excursions (not that one though so good to see another) such an amazing experience and love how you can stand out at the back although you miss the commentary. Great shots with your 360! I got just over $10 in gold in 2019 LOL Love a mooch around Skagway and agree it's a great town. Next stop Glacier Bay 😍
Yes the white pass railway is fabulous and the commentary definitely adds to it, getting to grips with the 360 more and more, we never weighed in our gold so we’ve got a nest egg for the future 🤣🤣
I poured myself a stiff vodka/cranberry to enjoy 40 minutes of vicarious vacationing with you two and almost spit out an ice cube at the end with the "Gardeners of the Galaxy" quip. Love your videos! 👍👍
Do you have Avon?? Their skin so soft hand lotion has something that discourages mosquitoes I am not sure about flies Reason Number One to love Las Vegas is the low insect population Mom used to Ames cake with a brown butter sauce only it had coconut in it ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm working in Skagway this season, and whew boy, you are lucky that customs agent didn't see you recording. Apparently they have confiscated both cameras and phones at both the American and Canadian customs office if they catch you taking pictures. (I actually have to make a point of telling people to put their cameras and phones away on tour)
Alaska is so beautifull!! Nice to see what you two have done on your excursion. We were so lucky to go on a helicopter tour, breathtaking! The ride in the helicopter was unbelievable and we landed on a glacier, it was emotional. A happening we will never forget, so impressive beautifull. Have a beautifull cruiselife everybody.

Salmon, Saloons and Brothel, oh my.😂 Luv your vlogs!
Thanks! 😀
The traumatic memories of those Liarsville flies was fading, but then I watched this. Thanks for that.
LOL sorry! 😂😂 What a fantastic day we had!
Wow! I'm beginning to think an Alaska/Canada cruise would be better than any other. Fabulous!
It was a pretty special trip! Would love to do it again!
We did that excursion in 2009, loved it! In fact we loved every bit of our Alaskan cruise and stays in Vancouver and Whistler. Worth every penny!!
Yes it was definitely money well spent 😀😀
Liarsville, you're actually in Detroit!😂😂😂
🤣🤣
My hubby and I have always liked the idea of a Canada and/ or Alaska cruise. This vlog has sealed the deal. Definitely his retirement cruise in a couple of years. Thank you for sharing your experience with is x
No problem, it’s a very good choice for a retirement holiday 😊😊
Just found your channel. You two are an absolute delight & I can’t wait to watch more of your content!
Oh that's great to hear! Thanks for finding us!

Aw thanks Janet so glad we are part of your Friday routine, I’m sure you are right but we’d love to see some more of Canada with a bit more snow.
Wow!!! Wow!!!! Spectacular rail journey
It’s pretty amazing, as was the rest of the day!
My family and I just came home from an Alaska cruise. We did the train up to Inspiration point only and back again as we were the last train of the season. The scenery you saw was covered in snow for us and it was magical. My favourite excursion of the trip. 😊
Oh we would love to go back and see it all snowy!
Thank you for the great information on the Alaska cruise
Your welcome!
Right then! What an amazing excursion! Really enjoying your Canadian travels!!
Lol it was fabulous! 😍
Thank you so much for highlighting women's history in the vlog!❤
No problem, we loved hearing all about it and so fantastic that 60% of the businesses in Skagway are owned by women!
We were on the Koningsdam in Alaska in May and the snow on the mountains was absolutely spectacular and breathtaking!!
That’s the only thing we missed was a bit of snow, guess that means we’ll have to go back 😊😊
Great, beautiful video! Love Alaska, so majestic... looks like you had great weather...
We had great weather, thankfully!
In cold and rainy Seattle - lovely to virtually travel away from gloomy skies 🎉 Great content.
Thanks so much! 😍

Surprisingly she coped really well with the heights, if it got to much for her she would just go back inside the carriage. The balcony was awesome 😎

Aww thanks Penelope, good luck with the saving, it's will be definitely worth it!

Yes we’ve had an amazing adventure, and yes my doodaa has been a great acquisition 😊
Loved watching what I missed, seeing I left the ship on Day 3 in Skagway for medical reasons. Always enjoy your videos and following you lovebirds. 😊
Oh sorry to hear that Ken we hope you are all ok now. Haven’t been called lovebirds for a good few years.

Another great video and just in time for us. We booked an Alaska cruise on Royal!!!! 😀🚢
Thanksso much! Alaska is amazing, we will definitely be going back, hope you have a fabulous time too!
Scenery looks stunning.
It is a beautiful part of the world!
Did the HAL Skagway ATV ride on an island about 30 minutes from the ship in 2019. Good time and enjoy Skagway. Thanks for sharing.
No problem glad you enjoyed it 😊
Another great video. I particularly liked the sailaway: the clouds were amazing. I would have made the same menu choices in Club Orange as you, Carole: it looked delicious.

I thought they were called boardwalks but wasn’t 100% sure, that lightsaber wave off sounds by like fun😊😊
fantastick video love it😍🥰
Thank you so much! 😍

Skagway was fab. LOL the train was superb would definitely do it again if we returned!

Lol upside down hockey sticks are street lights we have them in Australia 😊
Lol but guess in Australia they don't measure the snow! 🤣🤣
Do you have Avon?? Their skin so soft hand lotion has something that discourages mosquitoes I am not sure about flies Reason Number One to love Las Vegas is the low insect population
Mom used to Ames cake with a brown butter sauce only it had coconut in it ❤❤❤❤❤
We used to have Avon but not sure if it’s still going? Anything with brown butter sauce is ok by me.
I'm working in Skagway this season, and whew boy, you are lucky that customs agent didn't see you recording. Apparently they have confiscated both cameras and phones at both the American and Canadian customs office if they catch you taking pictures. Wow that sounds amazing, some people on our tour did a helicopter tour and they said it’s was pretty awesome
No Closed Captions for those who are hard of hearing??? Couldn't understand a word you said. Too bad, I was interested in the topic.
That's strange as we haven't turned closed captions off!
