I love how the music in the game matched the speed you were running at, that was so fun, the faster you went, the stronger the riff, or the speed of the techno :3
I *loved* the audio stitching mechanism in this game (each segment about 2 seconds long). It inspired me to rip it apart, analyze it, and make my own for my projects. I also wore out two CDs and a MiniDisc with this entire soundtrack.
@@me0262 never noticed it, almost every segments are like that, not 2 seconds but repeated 2 times, thanks for pointing this out, can you provide rip us those CD's you created and share with us
deadpool vega yeah but the new original score is just bland and forgetable, although for sone reason i sware a pursuit song in the run was a matrix song but whatever
When I hear this track I picture myself pigging out with friends and fam at a steakhouse in west Texas! And the race track itself makes me want to hop on a plane and check out the sights of the desert southwest 🏜️
You're Right Pal.I am Just 18 Years Old and I really love this game because it is perfect mixture of Arcade and Simulation and plus the Music. Today NFS games are mostly like Fast and Furious (with worst physics & music).
1996-2003 were the prime years for car games. I went from an avid gamer at that time to just visiting the memories on RUclips. I tried many newer games but nothing has the effort and attention to details as the old ones.
Many fans won't like that because they want an Underground 3, which isn't what Need for Speed was all about. Kinda hurts tbh. We really need a true reboot that was supercars, no weapons, just the beautiful natural open world and cops, with an NFS Heat like plot.
que nostalgia, tiempos bellos en los que hacían estos juegos con tanto amor y dedicación, contrataban compositores para crear los soundtracks, despues empezaron a sacar canciones populares solamente, no fue lo mismo.
This canyon course requires a focused driving strategy. Speed zones littered with dust and obstacles will push the handling envelope of your chosen supercar.
there are several reasons that makes this need for speed the most selled NFS of all, this song is one of them for sure, i still play it from time to time and find it really challenging
The best thing about this game, well one of the best things, there's a lot of best things, was that you fall in love with the initial tracks that they give you. You master it to perfection winning tournament after tournament in them only for them to unlock a whole new track in the tracks that you loved giving you more fresh roads to master and perfect. I still remember that moment when the road that was always blocked away in Red Rock Ridge suddenly opened for me in Lost Canyons and the road dropped down the canyons.
I haven't played this game in 8 years, I bought it out of nowhere this past weekend- and I gotta say, the only thing I teared of because of memories, ...was this song. :')
I miss those days... The first time I opened the ps1 cd case. Me and my friend used to play to this game every saturdays. And after that I watched Dark Angel, Buffy, Roswell on TV... Damn!
One of the best. A true pearl from the 90's. I only aquired it around 2000 since i had no pc back then, but i passed hours running around tracks, training my driving skills. Now, i miss so much this game... I wouldn't mind with the most recent Need for Speed models. But, there is a HUGE flaw that, to me, breaks most of the fun, Nitro. I see sport cars, at style of the classic NFS games, using a boost or nitro bar to 'go fastah'. That, to me, makes it less fun to play :(
I *loved* the music engine in this. It inspired me to rip it apart, analyze it, and program my own for my purposes. Each music segment is about 2 seconds long. I wore out two CDs and a MiniDisc on this soundtrack. Good now as it was back then!
I remember this song so fondly, especially playing as the police, chasing after speeders through the dusty planes, and the adaptive soundtrack was an amazing feature as well. I remember as a racer, I'd try to keep my racing line as solid as I could to avoid any crashes/bumps, because anytime I crashed/got busted by the cops, the soundtrack would jump to a different section of the song.
Oh mannnn, the memories. That "electronic arts" intro, this tune in a corvette police car and of course..."It's the final lap!" They sure don't make em like they used to
The nfs 3 theme and soundtrack has a space like atmosphere, it is like an alternative reality where you can drive your car and forget about the real world. NFS games from 1 to 5 had this happy, welcoming energy, hp2 wa s ok also, but with underground 1 and until today they went back to earth and went with this fast and furious style, it isnt the same vibe as these older nfs games. It is also nice to drive without music and just listen to the car and track environment.
@douchicide I eventually beat everything the game had to offer, but it was tough. You have to practically know the tracks blind in order to drive effectively at night or in the fog. By the way, in order to win, take Class A and use the Maranello. It's the best (non-SP) car in the game.
El soundtrack de NFS III que mas me gusta y ahora que sacaron parche para jugar el juego en sistemas x64 bits pude revivir esas memorias de este gran juego.
Thats fantastic music, fantastic map, fantastic years...

The best years.
You got damn right. Say my name.
Romuluss da efsane, soundtrack çok dolu Emre kardeşim, cidden böyle muzikler yok, 24 sene olmuş halen dinliyorum.
I still have this game. Think I'll go racing again!
"I don't see the smoke, but you seem to be heading for a fire."
AstralDragoon "...I'm giving you a warning. Next time, you'll be ridin' with me."
"I'm gonna pretend your accelerator was stuck and let you off with a warning. Try to take it easy."
***** I don't know what your malfunction is, but you can think about it in jail.
deadpool vega driving truck to the rest of the tournament. XD
+AstralDragoon This would be so epic if the cops really said something like that!
Matt Ragan is an incredible composer and excellent guitar's player, the three tracks he did for this game alone are masterpieces and Oscar's worthy...
Oscar? What? If you like him, why are you insulting him?
Согласен!
it's Grammy, not Oscar
I love how the music in the game matched the speed you were running at, that was so fun, the faster you went, the stronger the riff, or the speed of the techno :3
Also the position and the specific section of the track
..not for me? What plays just determined where you are in the session and crashing
@@mistamontiel00 But the straight sections had a faster beat, which gave you the illusion of music adapting to your tempo.

Legendary car.
Smoking tires, reverbing rocks, montain roads, burning hearts, perfect years, that is the original NFS era!
This guy seems to create awesome riffs in everything he composes!!

Well I'm from 2021, so I'm 2 years late, but yeah, I like this game a lot.
NFS was good times.
Still play it now
The ideal track to go flatout in a CLK-GTR. Best game ever!
I used to try so hard to maintain speed on Redrock Ridge, just so the the harder riff would play all the time!
can't believe this was 15 years ago O_o. but i still feel the need!!!
+guguigugu ME 2!!! OHHH YEAHHH!!!!! BTW You should try the new PS3 Hot Pursuit its near the AWESOMENESS of PS1 NFS3

Redrock Ridge & Lost Canyon one of my favourite tracks just because music which really suits the environment of the music.

NFS Heat is the closest I've felt to playing Most Wanted or Underground in ages but it's still not the same.
I would move that from 97-06 myself. Gran Turismo 4 is worth moving that goal post on it's own, but I adore NFS Carbon as well.
@@DJKr15py Heat sucs. It has nothing of the esence or polish of MW or Underground. Even less of the classic NFS.
Red Rock Ridge...................one of my favorite tracks to race on, brings back DAMN good memories
