Are we ever going to see a medium barrel length? Between the long and short so that the overall length of the rifle is 1 meter?
I have the problem, that it loads BBs in the barrel only, if i load more than some in the magazine. If I only load one or to in the magazine, nothing happens. Is that normal?
Is the as02 still capable of being hpa same as as02? Or is it a different system
i am happy to see the sleeve, means that Nemo kits will still fit!
Love the look of this rifle. Would be cool to run an under mounted grenade launcher on this and then it doubles as both a sniper and a comfortable and relaticely compact platform for launching grenades.
will you be making metal triggers? seems like it would be a good idea, just make the same trigger out of metal, maybe with the same company that makes your barrels
I’m thinking of eventually going for one knowing you make the upgrade parts.
I just did some shot strings with my VSR10 , it shoots 400FPS with 25gr and 334 FPS with 32gr. Out of the box. Thats the short stubby barrel cool version. It shoots faster then my long barrel VSR10 . Mine shoots ants from 30 feet out. evrey day for years since the first one came out. I think all stock sniper rifles should be just that as advertised " Sniper Rifle " They Must shoot fast hard and long....and finally accurate as hell. Period , mods after that if customer wants ...small market in mods. Giant market in buzz statements like ... The best The most accurate , most durable in the field , upgraded internals etc. ect. I wish it was already for sell. I was just about to buy the S1. Would have preferred the new one.. any news on release-date? price? just to know if it´s worth waiting...

Strangely, mine has both the safety trigger AND a manual safety. (yes I am in the US too that's weird).
According to my magnet the long part of the cylinder in the bolt is ferrous metal... unless it's picking up the spring inside?

Guys enyone that can help me, today then I pult the bolt on my ares Amoeba striker AS-01 it would not fire. I pult the bolt but the trigger did NOT have a Breaking point and now i Can pull it back with No effort and it Will NOT fire.

Looks like there's not gonna be an AS02... ? They release all kinds of mods, short outer barrel, handguard, and stuff.

You want a short barrel here, there isn't the cylinder volume for a longer one

Hey I just am finally ordering my ares striker aso1 I had to do some hunting to find it I’m looking to sell the black plastic brand new not used because I want to order green plastic anyone want it name a price

The sole purpose why Ares continues making these is thanks to Mancraft HPA cylinders and the Asian market of upgrade possibilities.
Internally, Ares did a shitty job. I do apriciate the fact that there are parts available for mods. (Especially Bespoke's shorter barrel. I had a Fishing rod for a sniper before that)
Externally, the idea of a super modular platform is/was wonderful.
Still, enjoyable after some (hpa) modification, but no way I'm going back to Spring/bolt Striker AS01...
Lockdown Official So should someone new to sniping get the striker or vsr?
Tony Kelly Depends on where you are at. For low Joule games (1.5J to 2J) and entry sniping, Striker is great for its buck and doesn't need massive modding outside of a new inner barrel and rubber. The low volume isn't a severe issue at lower FPS count.
For higher joules (more than 2, probably 2.5 to 3J), the Striker will have problems in FPS due to its small cylinder volume and that is as much as a strong spring could do before it becomes untenable to pull comfortably. You are advised to use a VSR instead.

And yet they still have that God AWFUL "Warning: Read owners manual before use!" engraving on the side... YUGH... Had to do some proper fixing on mine to get rid of that. Makes the thing sound like it's for kindergarteners or something...

Good luck hitting anything without all the upgrades. No excuse from Ares providing such a poor rifle out of the box. Accuracy appalling, as we see from your 20m(!!!) shooting test. DO NOT BUY.
Totally useless to bring this on the market at as it is now... thought they have learned from mistakes but no...

Andrew Barton AS01 barrels are compatible
