@Zack Lee yeees! my 'musical ear' doesn't exist! but I didn''t pass every moment of the last 30 years trying to play Night Moves! I also studied Rock this Town (Stray Cats), Fron Small Things (Springsteen ), Fire (Robert Gordon), and 1000 others... :oD
@@lucasolari3756 I just wondering as I have issues because I play right handed but write left handed. Applying oneself to percussive strumming technique takes just as much concentration as playing and singing.. Repetition Creates Retention.. Everybody is different and even though must really Practice to get this,might be another aspect you catch on quicker than normal. Did you catch it yet? or still working on it?

David big fan of your lessons. I really like how you tier the strumming as we get more comfortable with the song. I’m surprised to see the wise ass comments, usually lesson comments are very positive. I guess social media is the safe haven of punks.
Love the song. Love this video. I know nothing about music/chords/notes, etc. But why is the capo needed, why on the first fret, and could said capo be placed anywhere?
Love what you showed, BUT why teach only part of the song. Need the "waiting on the the thunder part", and the quiet part that begins with "woke last night to the sound of thunder etc, and then the outro that has a B minor chord I believe.
David I just don't know why so many RUclips teachers talk about the f chord being difficult. It's a cord like any other you practice it and it's easy 🐱 in all the forms
Because a lot of people struggle with the barre chords whether it's an F chord or the F chord moved up two frets to the third fret is a g A five finger full a to low E minor barre or a six-finger full major barre there's no need for conceited comment like that. There's many who even after 60 plus years of playing guitar cannot play a barre chords and they don't. Although some will wrap that thumb around and use the low E to get that bass 6 string barring the others
It's good you got the F chord in there but if you really want to get it for an authenticity like Bob did on the album upstroke that F chord 2x during the chord changes that's the money shot right there.
@@lucasolari3756 you don't need a tab. All you have to simply know is when you do the change during like the main riff from the G to the F to C and the back again just simply upstroke the F every two times as the passing chord.
@@lucasolari3756 yep just listen carefully to the opening riff or the main riff as I call it. You're on the G chord capoed 1st fret strumming up and down but before you go to the C chord the passing chord is the F you just basically strum the F chord and up stroke it two times and then grab the C. Play it very very slowly and you will get the idea and then learn to speed it up and you'll have it playing in no time at all on the main riff. Just think of it humming the riff in your head G GGG GGG FF(UPSTROKE 2X) C CCC CC CC THEN REVERSE FF (UPSTROKE) TO G and repeat

FFS....you never heard of editing? In a video there is no need to be repeating yourself over and over, that's what the replay is for. Not a fan as there are much better choices available.
It would be nice is if teachers just go thru the whole song chord changes.Thats all i need all this beginner stuff belongs on a beginner lesson.All this strumming and chord chart stuff lulled me to sleep.....boring. Fine teacher and all but im looking for a different video Lets get right to the song

Bob Seger does not use a pick and finger strums in this song. Use a light .75 - .80 gauge pick if finger strumming is too difficult.
