Thanks for tuning in to my lesson of "Night Moves" by Bob Seger! Be sure to subscribe to my channel to keep up to date on new episodes of the Riff Rundown! As always, I wish you much success in your guitar playing journey!
Thanks Angela ! I'm 65 and been wanting that one for a long time. My fundamental chops are going to get better now, thanks to you. Keep on rockin ! Kenner, LA.
Hello from North Dakota, my coming of age songs were ( Crazy on you, with Stevie Nick's as my babysitter, Night Moves and Paradise by the dashboard lights).
It’s great. And good for Fishman. I hadn’t heard of them except through their sponsorship of your riff rundown. Today I was looking at electric acoustic guitars. I looked closer at one I thought might be suitable and in the details it said the pickup is a fishman. 👍
Algonac Michigan U.S.A I grew up on Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Grand Funk Railroad, Eagles, and 80's hair metal. "Never say Goodbye" Bon Jovi has always been one of my favorite songs, because for me growing up in a small resort boating community means every summer new beginnings and every fall endings. God bless you 🙏.
Your guitar playing is so accurate and it lot of it has to do with how much soul and feeling you put into it. Pretty awesome watching how much you enjoy playing and playing some great tunes. Love the 0017 martin. Best acoustic I have ever played.
This is one that I've been tackling for a while but couldn't get that rhythm down between the two chords thanks for breaking it down and very simplified terms and I've been playing with the backing track ever since.
Angela,... love it! After a "30-year down time" from playing guitar,.... & going back to try & learn it right (this time),... it's great to find something that is taught in a great common sense, logical method. Keep'em coming,... BJ
It’s weird I was just playing that song today, made a simple loop and was smashing some leads, that song is so open for power riffs and soft jimmy riff chords thanks you made my day better, I have nothing to give back but an you’re awesome 👏 and some 🌹🌹🌹💐🙂
Played this one solo and with a band over the years always loved his music and hey i even look a bit like him from back in day😂great tutelage as always Angila❤🎸✌
One of my favorites as an intermediate player. Thank you for filling in some gaps and clarifying a thing or 2. You’re awesome and I greatly appreciate your lessons. Thanks again!
Hello from Texas, Angela. I've hit the subscribe button. Thank you for the great lesson, this is one of my favorites also. So, I guess the answer to your question would be this song. I've been playing for one year now and I'll learn this song right here. Thank you. Also, hello to Fishman. I already have two guitars with your products, so your name is one I trust. Thank you for helping make this happen.
Angela, just recently subscribed snd you certainly come through as one of the best instructors out there, showing the how, but always identifying the theory. That helps an old long time self taught, play by ear guy like me, wrap my head around what I am playing. This song along with Mainstreet and Blind by the Light are some of my favorite coming to age in my middle and high school years. That's right, I mentioned old!
Watching your videos and waiting for your song choices gives me something to look forward to each week. You always have such enthusiasm and fun playing. Very inspiring,
Wow you do love that song crazy but watching you play it , I could hear my uncle’s bands and him singing it ,,Life just freaking felt better, when are you going to sing? Good or bad you will still get an apple 🍎 teach 🕊
Aloha from Maui Estimated Prophet by the Grateful Dead, but they have at least 3 songs thats only two chords. Fire On Mountain is one. Aloha from the Hawaii islands sister!
This is great, my coming of age song? Well I guess, if you mean a song from when I turned 18, I'd say Joe walsh, "Life's been good" from 1978. Yes, we did have guitars way back then. Chris, Manchester England.
I think the strum pattern UDuDpalm -UDuDpalm -- And teavels a complete 2 Bars phrase. Now Please count out the strum to each cord changes as they occur?
While I enjoyed your tutorial. And it was quite helpful and I enjoyed your teaching technique and your sense of humor. You taught the entire song, verse chorus and two bridge sections. But ended the lesson before teaching the outro which includes a b minor chord which is crucial to the progression. Liked but please in the future teach the entire song.
She said coming of age song. I’m betting this song was out before she was even born. Another great 70’s tune. I just wish I could go back to those day again those were the good ole days
She adjusted it so beginners did not need to utilize the F barr cord, she said in start was based for beginners. Either manner it changes little. Bob I have seen play it either way,his later career renditions he played the Barr F. Lessons across youtube do either, which ever gets the job done. I play it either, but trying to utilize a pick. Played finger pick my whole life, hand I write with is not hand I pick with,so the Boom Chuck plam muted strum evades me.. The only one I cannot never get consistent enough,so I constantly come back to work on it to either finally get one of them right..lol.. Even can be done without a capo and not using Barr chord. Is not about changing key as much as how the strings react to each method. With different guitars, playing each method together sounding pretty cool. You show up to a campfire with others, playing either you will be ok.. In earlier shows, Bob had multi guitar help, and this rendition is a correct one.
