- Here we have a light custon on an AMC Pacer. I might have said Bill and Ted in the voiceover but of course the Pacer features in Waynes World! DOH!
Thanks again to Mark Cann for this and many other castings.

Excellent result, Rob! I think you did that Pacer proud. Wayne and Garth should be right at home, headbanging to Bohemian Rhapsody in that ride. :)
I always associate this car with a '76 grade school picnic. One of my classmates broke her leg, and her parent came over to the park in their Pacer. Beautiful restoration.
And with a flash from the wizards hands, Pacer-nochio became a real car!! Love this.
Ah, the mighty Pacer. When I was in high school, our next-door neighbor had one, which he was constantly working on, beer in hand. He never could get it running right. One day he got so frustrated (and drunk) that he took out the oil drain plug, put a brick on the gas pedal, and ran it flat-out until the engine exploded.
As for yours, it goes onto the list of models that probably have better paint jobs than the real cars ever had. :)
Rob great job with your Restoring of the Corgi Juniors AMC Pacer . Amazing Paintjob and detail work .
Pacers are just so cute and adorable
Bill and Ted! I think Wayne's World is the movie reference you're looking for Rob. Still great work tho. Luv your restorations.
Yeah it was Wayne's World and they also had one in the movie Good Burger
also Good burger
"The murph mobile"
I am a FORD guy and have a few. I love the pacer. I tried to buy one in the 90s but the guy wouldn't sell. Great casting
So cool. Matchbox Garage is back. Looking forward to see Your next build😁
That AMC Pacer looks much much better with the wheels the colour and the flame detail
Great choice of wheels! They really set the entire restoration!
Well done and you can never go wrong with a basic 5 spoke wheel.
My mom had one of these. Me and my brother used to call it “ the fishbowl “.
Nice homage to Garth Algar's 'Mirth Mobile' from Wayne’s World! Rock On Rob! Great Job!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Rob,what a cool video, the AMC pacer looks so much better, with the resto, the wheels and the chrome bumpers make it new.
Party time! Excellent! Love it so much. Now I have to hunt down this casting for myself😃. And I’m with you, use whatever supplies you have. The hobby is still a blast even with simple stuff. Keep up the good work.
Nice work Rob. Hadn't noticed the foot damage until I saw it on your turntable when it stood out. Love the flames on the hood.
Very nice. I've always liked this casting, because I really like the Pacer.
Nice job Rob , as usual .Nice choice of color.
Wayne and Garth would be proud!!
Very different car , car has good movie history.
Not a diecast that you see every day.
Paint is great 👍.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Nice restoration and paint job 👍 👍
Well done Rob. Looks very much like the car from Wayne's World. Great choice for the wheels, also!
Oh my goodness, the wheels are PERFECT!!!! I've been fiddling with a few of these and have not got the right look, but these wheels actually look stock, or at least something you could get at the AMC dealership circa 1976. This was another example of the great Marcel Van Cleemput's talent in translating the actual car down to 1:64-scale or thereabout WITHOUT the use of a computer in any way, shape or form. I think the Corgi model is the best casting of this car, although I never liked the chrome interior or the blue tinted windows on the models commonly available here in the USA. WELL DONE AS ALWAYS< MBG!!!!
Real beauty Rob, love the blue and the rims are spot on my friend
Great job Rob!
Great wheels and great color, Rob!
Great job Rob 👍
Thanks Rob. Yeah the rattle cans do a good job, this one certainly did….as always, take care from south africa
Freaking awesome!!!! I had the poison pinto ford pinto station wagon way back in 1980 in garberville California usa when i was 5
Never seen this one before. Cool model!
Perfect wheel choice. I had one of these as a child but have no idea where it went.
3/4 of a car long and a car and a half wide. The AMC Pacer!
Looks great Rob
The wheels really suit it well.
Nice job Rob!! Did you know the Pacer's passenger (right side) door is longer than the driver (left) door? This was done so that rear seat passengers could get in and out more easily!
Just a little Pacer knowledge... The passenger door on those cars are 4 inches longer than the driver door. The desighners done this with ease of the rear passenger getting in and out of the car in mind! I think you'll notice the difference on the casting as well!
Omgoooooooooodness! I LOVE that little car, I am very excited to watch this.
I have got to find one of those, I truly want one for my collection. Rob, you made my day with your video. Thanks for all the joy, you bring the die-cast world 🌎
I've been away, too long.
Great one Rob. I had a red version of the AMC but sold it in a lot of corgis on eBay a few years back. Wish I kept it now.
Those wheels do look grand on it.
Beautiful job well done
Awesome job rob.👍
Beautiful job Rob!!! Turned out amazing. Thanks for sharing, take care and stay safe.
Amazing job as always.
LOOK , LOOK another 100% paint removal Rob you are on a roll !! LOL
Very sweet love it brother nice work as well Lee
Looks great. The only critique I have is the glass. It looks like it is falling in. I recommend using canopy glue. It’s available at most model/ hobby shops. It dries clear and will not fog up the windows.
Great job!
awesome job rob
AMC pacer corgi juniors. Okay
One of my favourite castings of all time. I have one in my collection. Great restoration, Rob.
The myrthmobil 2.0........Awesome !!!
Love the look. You did a great job on that one.
Nice job!!
Ive got one of those😀 pretty cool
the flames on the waynes world amc pacer was a bright metallic orange ,u got the right shade of blue
Great removal of the die casting flash😀. I have seen some matchbox cars with more flashing that wasn’t removed at the factory.☹️
Estupenda personalizacion realizada este AMC Pacer, respetos desde Venezuela.💯👍🤜🔥🤛🙏💯
Yes finally 😀
This is the one I wanted to see.. and I want so want badly lol 😅
The AMC Pacer is a casting that is still on my bucket list of diecast cars to restomod one day. :) Great work on this one Rob, as always!! :)
Wuaooo god job rob very good. 👍👍👍
Party on Garth....party on Wayne....
The "Fishbowl" it was called here in the US, not unkindly I might add. Loads of room inside and being a hatch, very practical. A medium size 6 gave it enough power and an instant cult classic, here anyway. (You can all wake up now, I'm finished)
Also the widest car in its class at the time, IIRC. :)
Party on Friend excellent job again what can I say can I say the omaj to Wayne's world is perfect
The Movie that had this Car was in Wayne's World and it was also in Disney's A Goofy Movie and the AMC Pacer had been used in a lot of other Movies and TV Shows over the years there's also a Documentry on the AMC Pacer.
love it
Party on Rob! Interesting to see how Corgi did the base on this, don't recall another one like it - almost looks vacuum formed
The PACER was originally designed to be front wheel drive, but at the last minute, AMC decided it was going to be rear wheel drive...hence the long hood, or bonnet.
Rob talks about getting drunk.
Me: Opening a beer…….😁
Some here in the states called the Pacer "The Egg Roll" And as always, a great job Rob.
That's very close to a factory color as I recall, nicely done Rob. AMC also produced a "woody" version of the Pacer. It would be interesting to try one of those if you like Pacers. You have inspired me to do an H.O. slot car Pacer.
Awesome pacer waynes world released the day i was born mar 1 1992 i would be expecting a box of diecast ill be sending your way on Saturday love your work on your channel
Cooll👍
been hoping ud do this car. ok now for the vid
Another 100% paint removal! Cool restoration job, perhaps, only perhaps, it could've looked better with the tail lights detailed. Wheels are perfect 👍
Its fantastic transparent interior of amc pacer before corgi toys and now lesney matchbox account the movie wayne world's of 1994 my greetings my friend from mexico city 👋👍👍👑
I found the HotWheels 'Packin' Pacer' this last weekend at a Local FleaMarket. They are not all that common, but I have 5 Pacers in my DieCast collection.
We turned the one we bought off ePay into a Pacer pickup (ute)...
If there had been a UK version of this car, it would probably have been a 1300, with maybe a 1600 sport for the more adventurous. It was probably made/sold in the best place; at least it got some grunt.👍😁
If I remember rightly one of the doors was longer than the other, I think it was the passenger door it was to make it easier to get into the back I think.
100% paint removal!
👍👍👍👍👍
Looks amazing! I really wish you would either include doing the wheels in the vids or do a special on them, I am really curious as to what your technique is
It was Wayne's world who had the AMC pacer, bill & Ted had a van.
Flame decal on the hood looks good addition on the restoration , was this hatchback a rally car back then?
The car is in a game called vigilante 8 2nd offense
Not quite Waynes world, but i do like it a lot. Pacers are cool cars. One of those thats so ugly,it turnes cool
Color is nice , wheels are decent , i dont like black interior but atleast u didnt leave chrome , flame are tacky and u didnt detailled the outside but u did the base i note this build 4 out of 10.
Have you restored an AMC Gremlin or AMC AMX Javelin? When i got my drivers license, i wanted to get ether one in purple/grape metallic flake paint.🙂
Wayne's World
And now a word from our sponsors...
ruclips.net/video/K0LBboxlWOM/видео.html
I didn't say why, we don't drive those kind of station wagons anymore!
Wayne's world
UNNECESSARY ZOOM!
You use hot whater with caustic soda?
Wheeler dealers restored one of these and did a terrible job of vinyl wrapping it in a "spacey" theme. They ended up losing a fortune on it.
The pound shop sprays are sound just don’t get much in them
a " different " casting from the norm. as ugly as this car was lol it was cool to see one done. turned out sweet.
Didn't the pacer have odd sized doors ?? Sure the passenger side was bigger
I only use rattle can. I cannot afford an airbrush setup.
We're not worthy!!!! 100% paint removal I think?
the 'flames' spoiled it for me...but a cool model!
Wayne's World, not Bill and Ted!
