Hi Rob, Looking forward to seeing what gets picked. The old Triumph was one I purchased particularly with you in mind, when I saw it. That Mk 10 Jag and the Volvo were part of a lot which I got for another car which I wanted but again figured you'd do something with them or use as parts. As I said in my letter I have more to send + others too now including a car you've just done but by a different maker. Have fun mate.

The RO 80 was a futuristic german car from the 60's with a Wankel rotary engine. The NSU company was bought by Audi. Just a little info. Carry on mate.
Greyhound is an American coach line. The coach you have is based on the VistaLiner made by General Motors for Greyhound. These coaches are retired now.

When I was a young boy in the early '70s, I would look at the Matchbox Beach Buggy photo in one of the little catalogues and dream of owning one. Thanks for showing us your unboxing.

Hello, Rob. The yellow Husky Studebaker originally had a cameraman in the rear section.
The West German NSU RO-80 was the first car to use the Wankel Rotary Engine. Husky cars were made by Corgi, and only sold through branches of Woolworths. Some are really basic, and some, like that NSU, are little works of art. Husky became 'Corgi Juniors' in about 1970.
What great condition most of those cars are! The doors on that VW bus always, always 'walk'.
Beautiful Rover P4 'Auntie' there. Lledo originally, now in the Corgi 'Vanguards' range.
The Portuguese Mercedes model was made by 'Vitesse'.
Nice Renault 5 Turbo - my late dad's ideal car. He hired one when him and mum went on holiday, and was immediately smitten. Mum said it made him drive like a "bloody maniac" (rude not to in that car), and dad's attempts to buy one on returning from holiday, were shot down by mum like the Luftwaffe over Kent in 1940. So he bought a big Audi instead.
That Dinky Triumph deserves to be brought back to life, Rob.
Some great cars there Rob, good to know that I'm not the only one missing Nick, and his handy dandy screwdriver, I hope he is okay and just too busy with real life.

that yellow husky studebaker had a beautifully painted cameraman on top. it was also available in dark blue metallic.
Would be nice to see restoration of that Greyhound-bus, polished with painted details 😎

That silver VW Camper is pretty rare. Especially in that nick.

It is a big old classic car , and would look great restored .
Now just for information, the Husky yellow wagon is cool and missing the camera man , who holds a big box camera .

Hi Rob,what a big collection of cars,which car needs restoring,I was gonna say the Volvo 1800s but you're doing that one,the No 7 Mercedes Benz would look nice restored.maybe a white or a silver colour.

Hi Rob, Quite a collection there. Husky were made by Corgi exclusively for Woolworth as an own brand. When Woolworth ended the contract Corgi rebranded them as Corgi Juniors and continued to produce and sell them as a matchbox size model in the 1/64th(ish) range along side the main Corgi larger scale models.
The Portuguese car is a Vitesse... started in 1982. A bit of an oddity in NA. Though it is probably more common in Europe.

Id like to see the MG 1100 done... On a side note I believe the Rover SD1's V8 was actually a Buick engine to start with...

Well Rob the IH truck company today makes only Semi Trucks, Intercity Trucks and Buses and they'ed made a deal with General Motors to make International CV chassis cabs.
Husky is Corgi or actually pre Corgi. I have quite a collection of these. I'm really not sure if these are pre Corgi or just early Corgi. Hope you're doing well Rob take care.
Timbercraft Display Cabinets made model display cases. The company still exists I believe, but no longer in Harrow. Nice piece that. Unusual.

The Holden pickup is the rarer variant of that model. Usually they come in two shades of red.

actually, the rover v8 engine came from america, but they thought it was to small and they were happy that rover bought it.

greyhound was a bus company that started in hibing,minnesota and i think it is now based somewhere in texas not sure about that ,but i do believe thay are still on operation

Just a little correction. NSU was not an eastern/sowiet brand. In fact it was german and was integrated into Audi.

Yes they do. I was behind one a couple of days ago. They’re just not in the red, white, and blue paint scheme anymore. They’re in a two tone blue and gray, and the one I was behind was a Prevost bus.
