Nearer My God to Thee was originally written by Sarah Flower Adams. I love this hymn because it speaks what I feel-that I want to be close to God, even if it’s through difficulties and trials that I come closer to Him. I know that it is because of Jesus Christ that I can come to God.
I’ve loved this hymn since my mission in Curitiba, Brazil that I started 13 years ago in January of 2010. I will forever be grateful for the marvelous blessing I had to serve God for a year and a half by inviting His children to come unto Jesus Christ.

Eu adoro este hino porque fala exatamente o que eu me sinto, “Mais perto quero estar, meu Deus de Ti, mesmo que seja a dor que me una a Ti.” Eu sei que é por causa de Jesus Cristo que eu possa chegar à Deus.
Eu adorei este hino desde a minha missão no Brasil, Curitiba que comecei 13 anos atrás em Janeiro de 2010. Sempre serei grata pela benção maravilhosa que tive de servir O Pai Celestial por um ano e meio, convidado os filhos Dele a chegarem-se à Jesus Cristo.
