Joni Mccalla yeah, American Vogue is in this weird stage where they’re embracing all these random influencers in an attempt to appeal to younger people, and it’s just so messy. Like no one that watches Emma Chamberlain cares about Vogue, and people that follow Vogue could care less about Emma. They’re a few years away from having some random beauty guru on the cover of the September issue.
The situation is not better in at the Brazilian Vogue... the magazine has become very shallow and anacronic. They are still in love with the rich people who do nothing and create nothing, and most of their comtent is about trends :p
I like her fashion since many years, her statements and her motivation to go on in life wherever you stand. She lifts you up, and her answer about the economy is great although a little simple. The economy is too complicated that is the problem. If it was easier it would works better but some people enjoy the world to suffer so they prescribe pills and operations, right? Common, it`s true, there are evil people out there who would like to see this world fall apart right now. And nothing holds them back, it will need Superman to save the world or somebody like him. I love Superman and I love Batman, and I do not love the bad guys who throw bombs etc.

Yesterday in a branding class our teacher started an exercise to create a clothing line underneath the rebel archetype, and based on google trends pertaining to women’s fashion. (70’s is what’s trending). I brought up Vivienne Westwood as inspiration, and no one in the class knew who she was. I was *shocked* And now I wish I showed them this video.

she's such a hypocrite I think she's loosing her mind. fashion industry is one of the biggest causes of climate change. and instead of recycling her old clothes she burns them.
There are such things as sustainable fashion and other facets that are trying to decrease in whichever way possible. However that said, I am proud to be a part of this industry but that doesn't mean my love for wildlife or the planet is redundant, fashion and art are my creative outlets and i have worked hard to get to where I am, i make changes where i can to accommodate the planet as much as possible. But i think it sucks when people assume the worst and it casts everyone under the same shadow. The fashion industry is very much aware of climate change and fashion houses and businesses etc are slowly taking action but you can't expect it all to just happen within the click of a finger. Vivienne is the forefront of this, she is using her platform to promote these issues which is better than and more than we could say for others in her position of power. Though tie is of the essence, patience has to be key, baby steps and all.

I had such a high expectation with this interview. The intention of the editor in chief of British Vogue of producing this kind of content is so pure, bringing Westwood to this massively consumed media to strengthen her statement about questioning what is currently happening is what the fashion community and the world in general need. However this intention was jeopardized by Noami, she was trying to make it all about herself, even interrupting Westwood in a rather rude way. She just clouded the whole point of the interview.

Naomi is focusing on herself period. Whenever Vivienne talks about her cause, Naomi throws her a quick, surface compliment and then goes back to her notes or herself LOL. I believe Vivienne when she talks... I don't believe anything that comes out of Naomi's mouth.
