    It's funny that Alex mentioned how he had his Attitude V1's for 3 years. I'm STILL using my first generation RCV922 Fat Shark goggles from like 6-7 years ago, and they still work great!
    I did have to replace the receiver due to my own screw up accidentally plugging in a 3S battery by mistake and smoking the original receiver, but Fatshark had an upgrade unit for the RCV922 goggles that moved them up into the "Nexwave" generation simply by taking the goggles apart and swapping out the receiver module. Nobody online still had them at the time mine failed, but Fatshark service assisted me in getting one direct from them. It was a quick and simple job to swap out the receiver and my ancient goggles keep on rolling.
    Fatshark goggles are AWESOME, and the service even YEARS after original sale is fantastic. BUY FATSHARK, you won't be disappointed.

    I just bought the V3s a few months ago and the ones I got don't have the little fan guard piece. My vent fan is not protected, which makes it really easy to grab the fan when it's on and burn out the fan. The fan is so weak (to save on battery life) that you can't hardly feel it when you grab the fan when it's on. My fan burnt out and I think this was why. Fatshark did send me another fan ASAP, no problem (good customer service IMHO) and I made a simple fan guard. Nice to see they took care of the problem with newer models.

    I have the SkyZone SKY01 goggles. They have two antennas, 32 channels, head tracking, IPD, and the ability to order your prescription lenses, which I use contacts when wearing anyway. They also have a camera in front for LOS prior to fpv switching. If frequency choice outside the 5.8 you can hook up to a separate module. I've also seen inventive addition of the fan to them as well.

    Great video guys! I use Attitude V2 with Dominator faceplant and I am absolutely happy with it. I paid 400€ when I bought them one year ago, but in my opinion they are really good and I also think they have uniqe and best design from all VR goggles.

    I just purchased a pair of Dominator V3's, and love them. I opted for a Furious D duel reciever instead of the Next wave that they recommend, (for warranty purposes, are we not DRONE pilots?). It has auto scan, so you can use your goggles on many drones and get locked on to a signal in a heart beat. I also installed a Lumeneir 16X9 wide screen camera on my Storm 260 drone. Wide screen is AWESOME! It looks good on standard cameras to, you just have to get used to it.

    Nice video but I was waiting for you to discuss the optics of the HDV2's. Almost everyone that looks into them cannot see anything clearly but the very center of the screen. They now ship with the -2 diopter which shrinks the FOV almost the same as the Dom V2/Attitude V3, but I tried a pair this weekend with the diopter and while MUCH better, much of the screen was still blurry. I've been looking for a pair for a few weeks now and can't settle on the DomV3 because of the stretched aspect. Very frusterating that these are our only options. The Focal from Spektrum is the same as the attitude V3 except with a different plastic finish. I really want the DVR function in there. If the HDV2 optics were right, there would be no problems. Unfortunately there is no good option even if I'm willing to spend all the money.

  • @WinstonSmith1984
    @WinstonSmith1984 8 лет назад

    I'll wait for the next generation of Fatshark Dominators. I like the FOV of the Dominator V3 (or V2 or whatever - the blue one) but not the 16:9 aspect ratio which I think is unsuitable for FPV as seeing up and down is at least important as left and right. The Dominator HD V2 has a too wide FPV for my preference. I don't like scanning the screen for OSD info. That could be helped with an option to scale down the used screen area in future versions.
    But most importantly, I hope Fatshark starts naming the models after their release years.

      They mention headtracking at 0:44 but I didn't hear them say if any of these have it. And NO, all of these don't. Yes they all can get it but on the two higher models it's an extra module you have to buy. And then there're differences such as two axes and three axis and the zero drift Trinity module.

      For Dominator Series (V3 and HD2) it is an add-on and must be purchased separately. For the Teleporter and Attitude it is built in (model PDOF) 2-axis. The Dominator series, you can add-on the Trinity 3-axis head tracker with has two cool things....you can do 3 axis (if you so desired), but more importantly, the Trinity has no-drift at all...it is very good at eliminating it because the third axis helps it dial in exactly where you turned your head. Drift is where you turn your head and then when you center your head, the camera is not exactly centered when you turn your head back....when this happens you have to press the button to center the camera again. Now the bonus with the Teleporter and Attitude is that the built in head tracker will not only do traditional headtracking, they will do digital headtracking. This is where you can use a camera that has a "wide angel" or "fisheye", and the goggles will zoom in to only a portion of the screen, and as you turn your head, it will "digitally" pan and tilt with-in the picture...allowing you to not have to add servos to your model.

    Hi guys, great review of the fatsharks, I wear glasses all the time, I had one cataract operation and the other will be a couple of years down the line, so my eye doctor says?! I recently found a company in Germany called RHO-Lens that makes your prescription lenses that fit the Fatsharks a treat and slots into the channel over the lens now I can comfortably fly fpv with decent goggles instead of them massive uncomfortable over the head jobbies!!! lol. Hope this can help some of you guys!

    Just remember to tell buyers that the HD2's doesent fit everybody :( I talk from experinece here. I bought a pair and needed to return them. Blurry edges because of the big FOV and you cant adjust the lens angle only sideways. I was told 25% of buyers cant get a 100% clear FOV. I could not live with that when you pay that high end price.. I am still looking for the perfect pair.

    Loaded question for the reviewers... the Attitude V3 vs the Dominator HD2.... the end cost, after you get the necessary modules etc do you think the cost difference for the average user is worth going Dominator or do you think the average user would be more than happy with a pair of Attitudes? I noticed the one of you said you still used Attitude v1s after 3 years which kinda seem 'telling' to me that they must be pretty decent (unless you are just an FPV fanatic). Thanks for the review BTW
