Suggestion... Bend the other finger/s to make them closer to the thumb, like they are holding the wire. Maybe even just the index finger. That will look more artsy.

Good job. Electrical jobs eek me out.
For the finished product and how the hand is more upright and whimsical than grasping, I think an inspiration for another project could be the lighting part coming out of the forefinger.
This reminds me of a hand poise a fairy or fairy godmother would gesture while granting a wish; with magic coming from their hand or while waving a wand.

I am wondering if it would have been possible to bend the fingers as well, the idea of the hand is that it is supposed to be holding the wire, but this version the cord is coming out of the thumb and there is no grasping. Otherwise, the overall look is cool.
