The Hunter is probably stronger on a dimensionality scale, but levels is such a stupid way to measure this, also, the Ashen One is the strongest in most stats because he managed to kill Gael and SoC, two insanely powerful entities who would eat most of the demigods like they ain’t shit.
Does the lord of sunlight stomp out lord of cinder, yes. He is found as a rotting corpse that is ash after being kindled and venderick is aswell. The lord souls are used to extend the age through kindling, the cycle becomes so weak that in dark souls 3 no new people are can even gather the non existent lord souls. They try getting the residue of the lord souls from past kindlers, the soul of cinder at this point is just the combined zombie husk of everyone's souls which is weaker than the ancient souls of past so chosen undead was def stronger than ashen one. This feat can be scaled the red tree since it is reliant on corpses aswell. If the erdtree seized to exist the tarnished wouldn't be able to respawn while the chosen undead could, low diff destroy their gods

Also the Lord Souls aren’t on a basic level used for that, they’re just fragments of Gwyn’s soul that he gave to his allies. Also, consider that Aldia and Gael are more powerful then anything in the verse (Aldia has infinite hax/true immortality), they have a lordsoul, the dark soul is a Lordsoul given to the Pygmies and it grows in power over the course of the world going to hell. Also Vendrick never kindled the flame, he basically became his own lord soul and went hollow…clearly you don’t know the lore very well…in fact nobody in DS2 kindled the flame…which is the whole plot.
the dark souls verse scales higher than the elden ring verse. aka ashen one is stronger than the tarnished. solos the verse. anyone saying something else has a new game bias.
