Seriously! Listen to what Sam is saying Thomas, your way of expressing how you do what you do, the way you present it all and your own little way of putting that across really is excellent. Keep up the great work mate!
I totally agree with you, getting a solid image per location is the best approach. You have time to think it out and solve to reach the better angle. Great trip and video, as always.
I enjoyed every single moment of this video thanks for sharing it with us.
Love this video so much. I want to make a living doing exactly this.
Those icebergs on the black pebble beach are amazing. Thanks for taking us there, Thomas
I have been confused as to how in most of your videos you always go for just "one" shot. You answered it perfectly here. It is so easy to get caught up in all the beauty around you and just get trigger happy, changing settings, losing train of thought and ultimately losing sight of the whole experience. Your patience is inspirational, great work! EverythingGood
Totally agree , I'm that guy who completely loses his mind in a beautiful place and ends up taking over 1000 shots of everything ! I only ever end up with 3/4 good ones . Must learn to relax and look for that perfect shot more
david,anthony Ahern saaaame lol
i have been clicking for around 10 years now. have seen 1000s of videos on the subject, yours is the best, most simplified, and intetesting way of explaining. You make an awesome Guru. Awesome.
Nice video - I like how this feels like a journey rather than just picking and snapping - it feels much more like you've worked hard to get the photos, documenting your train of thought along with it. I thought the photos also got progressively better as the video moved along - nice photos man!
Abraham Dakin Great comment, thanks a lot.
You Living the dream Mate.
Fabulous Shots!
Keep it Going :)
I was blown away by both the landscape and your artistry. Patience is clearly a prerequisite in your profession
lol "I'm gonna 10 stop this iceburg" best comment ever made!
Love the last picture. Smoothing out the sea was a nice way to create contrast from the rough texture of the iceberg.
You make the most inspiring videos. They make you really urgently want to go out and shoot. Great photography.
Simon Labuhn That's great to hear. Thanks.
I love that you focused multiple times on the thing that will amaze most visitors to Iceland. You will often be COMPLETELY ALONE. I drove around the entire country in September of 2015, and was shocked at how few people there were. Outside the immediate Reykjavik/Golden Circle area, it's incredibly sparsely populated (both natives and tourists) and you will often have vistas all to yourself.
I think the best time to go is in September, you get a sort of 'normal ' amount of daylight and night - plenty of daylight for a sunrise, full day, sunset, and then night for sleeping easy.
Another great and really enjoyable video Thomas. Thank you. Looks like you've brought home some incredible photos.
Wonderful video Thomas, your patience and perseverance is amazing
Dude you have the best job in the world
15:25 - "Aaargh, it's never easy!" They joy of landscape photography :D Well, photography in general ...
Iceland looks cold, but flippin' gorgeous.
Simply beautiful! Thanks for sharing those moments!
just fantastic what an amazing place to visit .
These are incredible - I was in that part of Iceland a couple of years ago and seeing this now makes me all nostalgic and desperate to go back
Another wonderful photo adventure. Thanks for letting us go along.
Went here for my honeymoon - oddly enough in June to. Most amazing country I've been to. Love it
"im gonna 10 stop it and i dont even care " haha great videos Thomas
The temptation with some digital photographers is to take as many photos as you can in the hope that one is good.. Being brought up with film, it was always... take your time and take one good photo... I always like your thought process and your desire to keep improving and pushing your Photography skills.
That's very kind, thank you. I guess that is the downside to digital, too easy and can interrupt the thought process.
your comment made me really happy.. i always feel like i'm slacking when taking pictures.. sometimes i'll go out and only take two pictures but both are amazing and when i do take more photos just for the sake of it it starts to demotivate me because i don't feel like the pictures are as good as they should be.. thanks :)
news true - but sometimes there is a significant difference in both depth of field and sharpness with apertures, especially in nighttime long exposures - in this instance I take a lot
I get way too excited when this guy posts a video..
Thomas, absolutely amazing documentation video !!! Thanks for doing this work and sharing with us.
I came back from Iceland one week ago. It's was cool trip with nice pictures as well. But not so cool as you have. We didn't have iceberg as you had on the beach.
Once again, thanks for doing this work and sharing it with us on youtube.
Really appreciate it.
Cheers
Peter
Absolutely unreal location. WOW
Really, just a wonderful video. I think I need to re-focus my little projects from technical skills to finding a location. You're a wonderful inspiration.

It's never easy... but it's always worth doing! Great video, thanks for sharing your process in taking your amazing images. I'm learning a lot!
excellent video, the way you make your videos is great, telling a story rather than sticking to facts. cant wait for more.
Thomas, I really enjoy your videos. As an avid music photographer, i'm trying to get out and do new things. These videos are helping me see what it's like to just go out and explore! I can't wait to see your future posts.

Nice work! Felt like I was there. :) Thanks for sharing your journey.
I love the insight into your thinking before a shot. No spray and pray here ... well may a little spray!
Love how you showed the polarizer bit. That really helped me as a newbie.
I've just forwarded this to my daughter who is traveling to Iceland tomorrow form Australia for 10 day solo tour with camera, tripod & warm boots. Your video is inspiring but so practical and best of all some beautiful images! Looking forward to seeing what she captures. Thanks Thomas,

All this nice and soft music, and suddenly at 14:45 ...it nearly kills me every time😂
Thomas Heaton Thanks for making these videos. I love landscape photography. A lot of the times, its the experience getting the right shot that brings so much meaning to the shot itself. Keep doing what you do, I'm definitely a fan.

Cannot wait to see where else you visit! Top work! Thank you for sharing xx
Hello Thomas, you got some wonderful shots there. It was fascinating to see how relaxed you looked and almost zen-like. It looked like you were having a very good time on your own. And I also wished I was there also ...
