I used shadow Flygon (standard), Azumarill swap (ice beam, play rough but thinking of switching ice to hydro), and Registeel (standard). I climbed from 2400 to 2730 in one day, 5 sets, team is unbelievably strong and it’s really shadow Flygon. Even a “bad lead” like Azumarill is just an opportunity to farm up until they get to a move and switch out. The only matchups I lost were 3 ABC teams that walled me from getting proper alignment, and a mirror with regular Flygon which somehow won CMP tie. Use Flygon if you have it, especially shadow!!
Fantasy cup is a mix bag for me but do enjoy using flamethrower slurpuff to tackle the steels & trailblaze perrserker to deal with azumrill especially & flygon is useful in this cup too 🤔
I went five 4-1 sets running shadow mawile with fire fang, pup, and iron head, azu, and shadow alo sandslash.
Today all I ran into was turtulnators and other males all day, 2-5, 1-4, 5-0, 1-4, 1-4.
My mawile was attack weighted and melted escav before reaching a charge move, same with skarm and regi only needed to shield once and pup to fast move down. A few all steel teams I just kept pup and never shielded or swapped.
Flygon, whimsicot, galarian stunkfish worked well too !
I used EQ on my flygon for booming effect 😂
Slurpuff with flamethrower and energy ball is the most underrated pokemon in this meta as a safe swap. Gone 11-2 in sets so far

I’ve had a tough time with Slurpuff so I agree. It hurts my team so bad (Azumarill, Stunfisk and Registeel)
@hxcpkm It's when they safe swap into a registeel and I have flamethrower loaded, they always no shield and don't expect it

Magic leaf Gardevoir (or whimsicott), shadow flygon, & turtonator.. that team has been doing solid for me 4-1s and 5-0s

i did very well with flygon, but i paired it with clefable and perrserker
I ran this team for two sets and was met with Escav or Mawile in the back in 8-10 battles.
Just started running this team gone 4-1 in my last 2 sets great team thank you
What do you recommend if I don't have the second pokemon I just returning after 2 years
@@zstrode.8953 I’ve been using shadow Flygon, Azumarill, and registeel and that is the ticket. I also am getting back into the game after a couple year break, but I bet you have an Azumarill from back then lol
this cup has been the least fun I've had in GBL since I started playing it in august. There seems to be only 10 or so viable pokemon, every team consists of a registeel, flygon, azumarill, turtonator, lucario, tapu fini, galarian weezing and stunfisk. Doesn't help the fact that it's paired with the master league, which is unplayable unless you have a very high level team. I'm taking a break from GBL untill the next week at least.
I ran into a lot of azu, Lucario, escavalier teams and this team is hard walled by it....good team for other scenarios though

Turtonator solos this team though :( I see it in almost every match since these last two cups brought me down from 2200 to 1900 😓

I'm tempted to make a team of Azumarill, Lucario, and Galarian Stunfisk to counter the people that end up copying this Flygon team
I've been using Azumarill, A Slash (shadow), and Lucario. I've gone 14-1 today so far

I use wiggletuff lead alolan sandslash switch and flygon closer and wiggletuff win lead against azu

I'm thankful I had no EP Flygons good for any league, and that my only good one (93.4% rating) I didn't get until after CD; deleting legacy moves is just something I can't bring myself to do. I still have Megahorn on my Clodsire, for God's sake!

Recommended is overheat but in this Meta flamethrower is enough and it doesn't debuff
i need registeel to come back, i recently started playing again last year and in both great and ultra league im always getting fucked by registeel
