alright so the one issue i have is that IF they made christianity up(the apostles) for fame etc. than when it didnt work out because there is never a guarantee, it was a gamble, than they couldmt have just said jk we made it up or they woild have been killed straight away for pretending to have a connection to god

Christians believe in the resurrection because they believe they are the body, born in what must die. Therefore, it was greatly comforting to hear that "Jesus Christ" had overcome death and retained his body. Too much human thought, life was not possible without a body. Therefore, life after death could only mean the resurrection of the body.
@2:14 I’m Christian but a former atheist, so I don’t mean any disrespect in saying this and I’m on your side, but for apologetics sake: you could also add a 4th point that “the apostles themselves (,and therefore their retellings,) as we know them either never existed”, or “a reiteration of the bible rewrote the apostolic accounts with bias to fit a narrative altogether that paints Jesus as divine”, with the modus operandi being to: “establish a society based of Christian beliefs to preserve property, relationships, low crime rates, and tax-cooperation.” which is arguably something worth martyring for. I say this 4th point because many atheists, Muslims and even some Jewish people believe in this to solidify their narrative that Jesus was not divine. A common argument being “you cant prove a the validity of a fictitious/corrupted text by quoting the fictitious/corrupted text.”. While I agree there are still many biblical and non-biblical sources to support the idea that Jesus rose from the dead, a non Christian would likely throw out the baby with bath water and claim “corrupted fiction” for anything that comes out the bible. Iunno its extremely debatable in the modern theological sphere, but i am loving this apologetic discussion, keep it up!

At the very beginning you are making a mistake I call “The wizard of Oz” argument: Wizard of Oz and the City where he lives must exist, because where would yellow brick road lead if they did not? Using the parts of the same story to prove the other parts of the story is not the way to go. What if Matthew invented the ”guards at the tomb” story specifically to counter the claim that the body was stolen?
About the 3 possibilities? How about the 4th? Apostles in a sense of the “disciples of Jesus” never existed? Those are just stories and nothing more.
How do you know that apostles lost the 3 things you mention? Especially lives? Is it “Who would die for a lie?” argument? You yourself list some other possibilities. So it was not necessarily a lie. Maybe they chose to die rather than to be exposed as fraudsters and liars.
They gained nothing?
Have you ever read the Didache: Teaching of the twelve apostles? This document specifically warns about false prophets and apostles. And one mark of the false apostle is that he will ask for money. So people did use Christianity to live off the gullible people. Why would the supposed “Apostles ” be any different?
What happened to Jesus’ body? Was there even a body in the first place?
500 people saw Jesus? Really? Can I read their testimonies? Or you mean Paul claims that 500 brethren saw Jesus? Not that impressive then. It seems that Paul recites a creed, statement of faith, not actual recounting of events. Which is in itself strange to have a creed so early. I would go for an Post-Pauline interpolation.
Group hallucination is a thing. And hallucinations can go from person to person. It starts with one person “Oh I saw Jesus”.If other people are in the right state of mind they can too start seeing things, especially if they reinforce each other’s beliefs
Producing a body will kill Christianity? Really? When did the disciples supposedly start to proclaim the resurrection? At the day of Pentecost. So 50 days after the supposed death. Would be body recognizable at that time? I doubt it.
Or Christians could say “Lalala this is all work of Satan, that is not the body of Jesus”.
You can read about a wannabe messiah Sabatai Zevi who converted to islam. And it did not kill the movement, despite shattering it quite significantly
I like how all the apologists never mention the idea that it was all legend. They attack the swoon theory or stolen body theory, but never take the hardest nut.
