Syrian food is very hard to find in Los Angeles, and Kobee Factory is one of few Syrian restaurants in LA, which even made the Jonathan Gold 101 Top LA restaurants list. It is authentic Syrian food from the malfouf (stuffed cabbage) to masareen (stuffed intestine) to mujadara (barley lentil).

Ooh the stuffed cabbage rolls looked good. My mom makes salvadorean rellenos , how she makes it is with cabbage and stuffs it with rice, meat , veggies and puts tomatoes sauce over them.. maybe that why it looked good to me, love cabbage. Great video.

The lentil dish that you had is accually called moudardara, moujaddara is more wet is like a risotto consistency made with rice. The food that you call Kobe, is accually pronounced Kbbeh or Keufta it goes well with taziki salad or bbq sauce, mustard & ketchup.
Good upload, I rarely hear about or even see Syrian food restaurants across the country. This particular one looks well managed.

Am from Syria lattakia and we have a similar dish to mjadarah called herysah it's just lamb meat and fat mixed with wheat boild together , u must make one about kebab and arak

Lebanese always love claiming all Arabic food as theirs. It’s Syrian food. All Lebanese ancestors come from Syria, there was no such thing as Lebanon until the French Came and split it up. It was all called “belad al sham” it was all Syria.

Lebanon was there thousands of years ago and is mentioned in the Tanack( the jewish bible) several times as well as Syria. So they've always been 2 seperate countries although the ppl intermingled and borders have changed somehow overtime.
