If it’s a business decision I get it. But if your changing because your not finding chases on majority of your videos, you have misread your audience (or maybe just a few of us). Either way I hope you do amazing and I’m a watcher regardless of chases. Good luck buddy.
Bro dont give up bcoz you cant find super? i just start collecting this year i only found one super ,since theres to many collector in my area,i dont focus and finding those anymore if i them its a bonus. I just buy what i like
@@geebert23 I know what he's getting at though. I watch all of these bigger channels and just like he said, these guys are finding fresh cases, supers and all the good stuff like every day. I've also questioned whether or not they are faking it quite frequently because their luck just seems too good to be true sometimes. RUclips was my first exposure to HW collecting, just a few months ago, and I kind of feel the same way. A lot of these other channels make it seem like you just show up to a store and hey, 4 fresh cases just sitting around! But in reality it's just not like that at all. It's still super fun to go looking though, and I've actually met some really cool people in the process. I've just lowered my expectations of what I'm actually going to find at this point. Since I'm not in a position to be at the stores as they open, or as they close, I also just started looking into customizing and just going that route for a while.
I feel you, bro. I've seen a guy find five TH's and three STH's...and buy them ALL. Dick move. I've actually left TH's behind because I already had two in my hand. You scalpers have sucked the joy out of hunting.
I total agree with you brotha, hunting ain't easy, over here in California, the same people hitting the same stores everyday ,camping out in front of Walmarts before 6am everyday , it is ridiculous , I heard of a RUclipsr who found 6 skyline supers haku pegged in front at a dollar tree , which I don't believe at all ,like they make it seem they just got to the store and found 5 or 6 pegged supers right in the front ,hard to believe that BS, then they say Iam not going to take all the castings ,leave some for other collectors, but when they turn off the camera who sees them
100% correct. In orange county it is a dry land. Only fantasy or monster trucks. 99% of employees are in on this racket. So YOU HAVE to make friendships with employees. I can't ever find any good stock of hot wheels anymore. Which is sad when you go to 6 stores in one day. Respect
same here in Vancouver Canada... I have to be like those guys at night 30mins left before closing just to crack some cases. Ive seen bloggers cracking fresh cases that I never encounter here in my area. 😔
@@GRUMPZTER24 your talking about cities with Walmarts that stretch from Gilroy to San Jose To San Leandro. I’ve noticed how they are so filthy with their service :P
You guys have to remember, collecting is all about being patient, if you don't get what your looking for one day, you might get it another day. Sometimes you just need to let the car come to you, you know?
I just got the Purple Mustang and the Audi last week. They were just sitting in bin when I arrived. It is the employees at the stores that are making the shit suck! They are the ones really sucking everything up! Wmart needs to stop allowing these pricks to pick thru toys while on the job
Couldn't agree more. I feel the exact same way about these damn scalpers and resellers that don't have lives and suck out all the fun for the honest collectors just wanting to buy something they really like. It's the same story here in South Florida. Scalpers run rampant around here which translates into two scenarios: either A, empty pegs galore with only fantasy castings, or B, old stock that nobody wants. I used to really enjoy hunting for cars back in the days when it was easy to find what you wanted, a time when scalpers weren't as frequent and when distribution was better. I'm talking just 5-10 years ago. Sure, scalpers existed but the practice wasn't as severe as today. Unfortunately distribution woes as a result of the pandemic have led to the rise in scalping culture since inventory was so low contributing to a massive demand for diecast. It's gotten better since last year but the demand is still prevalent. This is why I don't hunt as much as I used to. What's the point when I know for a fact that nothing is gonna be there even if I do get there early? However, I'm not gonna be fully discouraged and not hunt anymore. I'll still do it but just not as frequently. On the plus side it'll save me more time, gas and money anyway. I won't let the scalpers ruin the fun and make me give up. If you do that they win.
God….All the trips to the big city that’s like 25 miles away just for nothing….and when there is something…it twists your arm into buying it because the opportunity may not come again….unless it’s eBay and they charge double….the way gas is and time saved that might be a deal…..f scalpers still.
I feel the same way here in Canada. Too many resellers either at Flea Markets or online. When I go and find things it's great. I have toned it down as others have said here as well. I just collect things I like when I find them. Got the HW Car Culture Porsche 917 the other. Just stay positive and be happy. I'm not going to let other people bust my happiness
Great video. My area, NW Indiana, it has been dry for months. I wanted the Snake 2 Team Transport and was able to find (2) and a Kafer Racer STH while we were in Virginia a few weeks ago. Its hard to find anything with one reason, IMHO, people grab cases off the pallets/carts and go hide to rummage through. Then you have the toy dept. itself as an employee at local Walmart to me said that the Dept manager goes through the cases before they are put out. But, gotta keep on keeping on. I agree about the ease of some finding so much on a daily basis. Either they barely have any collectors or maybe it is exaggerated for content.
- I'm a first time viewer for your channel. Agreed, there's a lot more people doing this now. Not only collectors, but store workers. Flippers or scalpers. I know of one distributor that has products being sold at Walmarts in my area who has access to the stock rooms and they let him go thru the cases before they are brought out to the floor, so he's grabbing everything before the pallet goes out. I know of one kid that works at a local target that has something going on with a scalper that he gives a heads up to. I saw them both ripping thru cases of HWs in the kids clothing section once. And then there's the people that pretty much live at the stores waiting for the pallet to come out.... if you're a collector, you don't stand a chance anymore. I used to have no problem finding regular treasure hunts, target reds and any mainline or premiums etc...that I wanted but not anymore. It's impossible to find anything and I've been putting too many miles on my car and wasting a lot of money on gas lately, so I'm almost done with it. I have seen several popular channels here where it's very obvious that their hunt findings are set ups. I hope your luck turns around.
Thanks for posting an honest video about this. I was at Jcar Diecast last weekend and I asked them if they noticed that fewer stores were stocking good cars lately, and they heard that scalpers are actually paying off store employees to just give them whole cases so that they never get stocked. That combined with the supply chain crisis have led to fewer and fewer good cars to make it onto Houston shelves. At least they don't go after the 5-packs.
Our local Walmart is like Death Valley, I haven't seen Johnny Lightning, M2, or Autoworld in months. However they are well stocked on skateboards, Fast & Furious peg warmers, and others that have been homesteading for months.
I think you should continue dude! I watch for you not for the things you find/don’t find. I hate those pallet raiders and scalpers. They truly ruin the hobby for everyone who has a life
agreed man here in south africa almost everyday theres some raiding all the stores and posting they finds with 10 or more of the same car and not leaving it for the next person
The problem isn't too many collectors, the problem is that there's too many scalpers. There's a guy around my way that literally buys everything, just to sell on Ebay for a profit. He tells the associates that it's what he does for a living. He doesn't even collect!! I can't find a decent mainline anymore around where I live. Parents are getting mad, bcuz their kids can't get any. I had someone the other day tell me, they absolutely hate HW collector's, bcuz we take everything. I made sure I explained the difference between a collector and a scalper. I was born in 1970 and have been collecting for over 40's years now, and I just don't recognize this hobby anymore. If it wasn't for the collection I massed, I wouldn't want to be a new collector these days. I've found STHs that I already have, and will leave them for the next collector. At the most I'll have duplicates, bcuz I open mine. If I get another, I'll leave it blistered. I have a freed set of the sweets, and a blistered set of the sweets. I don't collect for monetary reasons. The opened set I've had since I was a kid. I still have every HW that I had growing up, I take pride in my collection. When I'm gone they're going to my daughter, who is 21 and collects. There isn't too many true collectors left. We don't get a casting just bcuz it may have a high monetary value, we get castings that we want. In all my years collecting, I've never sold one HW.
Store workers in Newark Ohio are withholding all STH There is so much shady going around. Some of the store employees even brag about how many they found. When bringing out 6 open cases that have nothing Decent in them.
Here in Canada I've been lucky to have found many of the mainlines + some treasure hunts during my hunts. It use to be easy back then to find all the good stuff. I think since the pandemic occurred, hot wheels collecting (and scalping) has seen an uproar, so now there's tons of competition out there. I personally have no problem with other collectors who collect because they have a passion for it that's fine, it's the scalpers that I really despise. Scalping has always been around but I feel it's gotten worse since the pandemic.
It’s the community that supports the scalpers that buy up all the cars and resale them on line at a ridiculous prices and ridiculous shipping charges and let’s not forget the insiders at target and Walmart, etc.
Scalper I met just picked up 3 Lamborghini chases from the exotics set..........all at the same place and same time yesterday at Walmart......he just happened to be there at 5:30 just when it was restocked......yeah! Just enjoy the hobby guys, buy what you like and meet new people. Also, try and help each other out, I am always giving spares to fellow collectors......no up price.....most of the time for free.
I’m in the Netherlands and had been looking for Supers and T hunts for over 3 years and only once found a super in the wild (couple years ago). It was really fun finding one. I guess those scalpers ruin it for real collectors. Happy hunting everyone and thank you for the great videos my man 🙏🏾Peace
i've been collecting since about 2000 or so. I feel you man. Between the employees, the people who scheme with the employees, the door warmers and the hoarders, it's been getting worse every year. I still love collecting though. Not gonna fret over what I can't find but just enjoy what I have. It's just a hobby after all...
I live in a small town so there is only one Walmart and every single time I go there is someone there looking and I'm just like where did you come from. But most of the new hunters that go to my Walmart dont know what's rare and what a treasure hunt, they just take the good looking ones
I agree as I am seeing the same in COS as well. I did have a big M2 chase day on Saturday morning. Found three 750 piece chases. Hot Wheels are almost impossible to find as you have to be the one opening fresh cases. This has happened a couple of times for me but you have to be at the right place / time.
I agree with you, it appears that Florida is the only place that gets stuff daily. And those channels that magically happen upon pallets of unopened cases almost every other day.
It's you get all the stuff or nothing at this moment. I think scalps will start to remove themselves slowly as they see people don't value hot items aren't valued that much in the second market than they think it would be. Be patient and just do what you want to do.
Welcome to the club. Gave up before Covid and sold off entire collection. Used the proceeds to buy a mountain bike. Just took way too much time and employee/local collectors were too plentiful in my area.
I've been collecting Hot Wheels Treasure hunts since 1995 ,There's some years you think you're done but you end up finding the couple along the way ,I'm still at it and I'm 55
Yeah, I quit few years ago and now I'm stuck with them. Even ebay lots of 6 or 8 for half price don't get any bids. I quit because I got tired of searching, buying and then putting them in the box.
I have been collecting since the '80s and I have NEVER found a Super! I don't look for them anymore, supers don't interest me I would rather put my money into HW Premium, Greenlight, M2 and as for collecting in general, I find a lot of walmart employees are collectors as well and they are the ones getting the pick of the litter so to speak when they put new cases out
You're lucky to see stock! Where I live the stores have gotten 6 cases since before last Christmas. It's a rural area and we just do not get like pre covid. It was fun to do with my child but 90% of the time the shelves are empty at the local stores.
Agree trying to 'hunt' or even collect anymore is horrible. The last TH I got was in 2008 and never seen a STH other than online. It's depressing and don't even know why I give HW any more of my money anymore.
What works for me now is finding local diecast collecter shows and going to those instead. I can find pretty much everything I am looking for without the inflated scalper prices. I found a bunch of TH's at the last show for $2 bucks a pop and another guy was selling Super TH's as buy one get one free so I picked up some of those as well for $20 each.
It’s rough out there in the Wild but when you do find treasure its super fun. 😁 congrats on the channel growth man keep going you are close to that sweet 1k mark! 🎉
I started collecting Hot Wheels in 2009 got the complete set vintage racing and all of the sets to 2019 then the other collectors have washed out the stores. I bought RLC’s with low production numbers but even those are not exclusive anymore. Moved on to slot cars and set up a track room in my house. Collecting high end slot cars much easier and much quicker just spend 80 to 120 bucks on line and they show up on your door step. These little cars have real motors and are a blast!
Every hog of the good cars should forfeit there cars. Like holy lord guys, only excuse is Toys For Tots, and they ain't even out yet. Everyone needs to not forget who makes 80% of the purchases of Hot Wheels, it ain't me, you or your freinds brother's uncle's cousin 5th removed, it's the kids who might actually have wanted that specific car in the first place. Don't like my opinion? I didn't ask. I'm speaking up for the kids who cant. Hunting is sopost to be fun, not robbery of memories that may last a life-time.
I really just started taking an interest in collecting any of these a few weeks ago. I only have a few stores in my area and have visited them every day for three weeks. Two of them haven't even restocked in that time and have a combined total of 7 cars on the pegs between them. The Walmart has had the same stuff on the shelf for two weeks, and the Dollar General only got in one case. I have no idea how/where people are finding the good ones. I am not even hunting for the super treasure hunts, I just want to find specific models and colors from the mainlines.
Too many scalpers, not enough inventory. I have been done for about a year now. I also hate it when hot wheels has a new set whether its Blvd or the superhero stuff and the set has 1 or 2 good cars and throw some weird looking machines that no one wants.
I can tell you now, there are a lot less STH and TH in cases these days. I've opened over 30 fresh cases in the last 6 months for zero soups and six TH.
The frustration hits home big time, brother. Ive had the exact same sentiments over the past month or two. More collectors and more resellers is making it harder and harder to find things. I honestly get more enjoyment making customs now and days and find myself less motivated to dedicate as much time to hunting. I hope things get better for us! Great vid besides the ending frustration (which is totally relatable). Hang in there brother. 😩👊
what helps me is, I go to the store, expecting not to find anything, therefore, when I get there, my hopes are not squashed or smashed, and when I find something it’s usually, decent, I grab it, I pretty much just grab, whatever’s pretty, popular, but don’t get me wrong, not too much meat on that bone nowadays
I work at Walmart for hardlines, and there are a ton of collectors waiting for pallets to go out so taht they can just open the boxes and leave the trash for others. Whenever they ask me whens the next shipment, I tell them idk. I am trying to get into the hobby but it is hard to see the good stuff of even touch it. I have met this one regular who buys all of the STHs, RTHs, raws, chases, etc. and never shares them. I asked if he can break some bread, but he scalps. :/
I am from Canada and surprisingly we have even less. We feel you always get better stuff. Some of the things you showed were the same but some neat things I saw as well that we don't have. I enjoyed the video!
It seemed to that the popularity of collecting diecast changed with the popularity of the Asian casts and the platforms people buy and sell on like ebay. When the desire leaned more towards muscle, dairy delivery, drag buses the awareness of the chase was a more narrow. There would be competition but there was a core to it. I either knew or had seen the same folks at the Walmart and targets . Then run into each other at the shows. But since the popularity of the Asian casts mixed with the selling forums the core got way bigger and younger. That mixed with everybody being in the know of amount of money collectors will pay “ for a toy car”. You don’t need Warren buffet to tell you . What I can find something that I can pay a $1 for and sell it for $50. So now we are competing people that when i see them out hunting and chat with them they do the collecting aspect but eventually the talk get right into how much money and how many. But I can’t quit hunting cause the feeling I get when I do find that super or chase especially when it’s a 67,68 or 69 Camaro it’s the closest thing I get to Christmas mourning as a kid. And when your 48 you appreciate the stuff. So don’t quit hunting brother cause I want to see that video when you do find something you dig. Apologies for the sentence structure. Bit my strong suit
Hang in there buddy! There are a ton of collectors out there for sure last Saturday little Jay and I went to our Target and there was six other collectors with. More people in the Hot Wheels section than the store.🤣🤣👍👍🤙
Main states to go to. California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Maryland, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Washington, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Arkansas, Oregon, Pennsylvania and New York. Those are the best in my opinion. .
@@MewDidWhat it may be scalper territory but at least they have some up to date hot wheels to sell at Walmart and other small stores. I would recommend hitting the small stores since they are now feed from large USA distribution centers. I believe more K, L, M and N cases are by far having the most stock. Don't forget Best Buy now has hot wheels and if you buy $20 bucks of hot wheels then you can get a rare red card hot wheels custom Subaru Impreza.
I will miss your hunting videos buddy. I get what you saying also. I haven't found a super treasure hunt in over 3 years and I haven't found any of this years chase cars from the car culture series and there are other hot wheels out there in years past or this year that I haven't found but none of that is going to stop me from going hot wheels hunting and collecting hot wheels as long as I can keep finding new hot wheels at the stores to bring home to add to my hot wheels collection I will keep going out hot wheels hunting and I will be collecting hot wheels for the rest of my life.👍
I actually look for the Auto World Reds more than the TH and STH. I've had better luck finding those than anything else. When I find the premiums, I usually just take one set and leave the other. I like to double up but not all at once. Seems like some people don't feel the same.
I tend to agree with you on the plants but half of the videos that I watched are case cracked with supers inside of them so I know those are real but you are right on the planting of supers and chases you could be on to something
Don’t cast a stone on a competitor, no Need! You have good videos, but making the accusation simply because your comparing your daily success to theirs and saying “planting” is the only way it’s possible, sounds bad. Great vids, keep it up. And btw, for real collectors like myself who have been around longer than the RUclips boom know when shit is planted and not genuine. We aren’t all idiots. Keep up the good work and have fun with it man.
Hey bro, never started collected till a few months ago but got bit with the bug when i bought one Diecast for my 5 year old. I never collected when I was younger. I follow/subscribe because I like watching the hunt…not so much for finding rares/treasure hunts… but noticed I’m evolving from Hotwheels basics to premiums to now MiniGt and auto world/Johnny lightning. Cool to see what other people find and are seeing out there. So empty in Southern California stores i just buy online what I like unfortunately. Plus I open the card not really a saver
Collector from Malaysia here. Here we also have too many collectors (also scalpers). I'm thinking to quit collecting or slowing it down once I have gotten Skyline R33 & R34. I couldn't keep up. I won't be able to get the cars that I want unless I'm really lucky or willing to pay double or triple (not including postage fee).
The problem is the scalping. It’s such a selfish thing to do. Whenever i see duplicates i always take one of each models and leave the rest behind but some people take all of em and sell them for ridiculous price on ebay. Really sucks man hunting for hot wheels is really fun but yet theses people are out there ruining it for all of us
Got a guy in my area with a channel. Pulls off of pallets and goes in back rooms. Handfulls of supers. Not planted. Wonder if he sleeps well at night knowing he is the sole reason my son will never come up to me and say "hey daddy I found a super!" Good luck to ya man.
Im lucky if I can find one STH in a calendar year and that's only happened 4 times since late 2018 Ive decided that I would much rather just look for stuff in certain parameters or groups. The Ford Sierra in red, blue 70 Escort RS and new cast Ford Escort RS2000 in white I picked up yesterday (the RS2000 is absolutely spot on). Loving the Silvia Liberty Walk in black with gold....
Bro don’t give up . I don’t even look for treasure hunt stuff too many resellers . I just buy the cars I like and think are cool kinda just collecting but if my son ends up liking Hotwheels when he is older we will get a surprise gift 😎
Yeah I agree with you too hunting for treasure hunts and Super Treasure Hunts it's hard here in Paris Arkansas it's all about hit or miss I mean this year so far been kind of lucky found two supers at three regulars but I feel like that was just pure luck most cases the stores are right around where I live really don't upgrade their Hot Wheels inventory all that much course sometimes I got to think somebody behind the scenes is working with collectors maybe maybe not it's gives a whole new meaning to finding a needle in a haystack I know some RUclipsrs tell me I need to buy cases on Amazon he had to find some RUclipsrs tell me just because you buy a case doesn't necessarily mean that it will come with a Super Treasure Hunt or a regular so honestly I've gotten burnt out to at times especially when they make so little of them yeah I feel your pain I gave up on looking for them for nearly 4 to 5 years forever started getting back into the whole Hot Wheels thing it went Matchbox it's even harder to find a Chase or super Chase cuz it make even less of those but I hope that life treats you well and if you don't get back into Hot Wheels and collecting diecast there's always some other hobby out there to get interested in.
It's a nitemare here in Australia. Last week I drove to multiple stores, they were completely out, or had low stock of an older case. And when fresh stock does hit shelves, there's cartels of collectors that get tipped off by staff in stores, or employees of stores get to the stock first. It's getting mental, just to get stuff you want, much less get a treasure hunt.
Scalpers and customizers ruined the hobby, not the actual collectors, the collectors get what we need and leave the rest for others. Scalpers take everything and expect to become rich after a couple months selling at ridiculous prices and customizers buy all of one type of car and make it almost impossible without going through a scalper to complete sets.
If you think about it. Every collector goes after the same models. Are they really rare. Every Walmart, target, dollar store, across this nation get them. Not to mention International sales. Are they actually rare? Nope!
Exactly, it's nothing but artificially generated hype online, and I blame at least 3 RUclipsr's that have been doing it for awhile. They say "Oh this one is gonna be a hot one for sure!!" Then all of the sheep flock to the store to buy those cars when they aren't even rare at all Lol
Same here brother, stopped about a year ago, if I want something bad enough I'll buy on ebay, I still look but the days of hitting 4 wallmarts every morning at 6 am are over, there is just absolutely nuthing on pegs anymore, I can still enjoy the hobby though
For me, it is so rare to find any premium hot wheels releases. I've seen maybe 2 or at most 3 waves of car culture this year, but never the entire wave, only the least desirable castings, predictably.
I've been collecting since the mid 90's, mostly Matchbox but some HotWheels too. Used to collect Johnny Lightening but those are all but gone now. My big thing was collecting 1960s-1990s matchbox cars because you used to be able to get them for nothing 10 years or so ago
It's not the amount of collectors, it's the amount of scalpers and people trying to make an easy buck off the hobby. Most of the people buying everything up aren't concerned with keeping anything. It goes straight onto a market site and then the actual hobbyists are stuck buying for 2nd hand market price (scalped price). It'll never happen but the easiest way to end it all is to stop buying them off the secondary market which obviously won't happen so we'll stay stuck in this cycle.
I can't find shit like I used to a couple years ago. Kinda makes me want to give up sometimes too. I eventually will if things continue to go the way they are.
Great video and definitely speaking the truth. I stopped collecting because trying to find super's and treasures are becoming unreal. Target, Walmart, PriceChopper, Big Lots, etc are just a waist of time searching and can't find. Thanks for the great videos and honesty. Stay blessed.
I completely stopped buying die cast in store about a year ago, unless I just happen to be in the store for something else. Far, far to many collectors now, to many scalpers, to many employees cracking cases, and barely any stock being replenished. I now buy far better quality cars from other manufacturers. It's far less stress, less gas, less time, and you get better quality cars without doing any work outside of clicking a mouse. I also blame the internet and social media for having their hands in ruining the hobby and other collectable hobbies as a whole. I miss the good ol' days of hunting 20-30 years ago, it was a blast!!
I work nights at Walmart, I travel around the U.S constantly to new Walmarts and the main issue I've seen is honestly employees. I see employees grabbing treasure hunts and supers right out of the boxes. Not a chance for actual customers. It gets really old
Earlier in the year, I was hot on the hunt and quickly found the scaplers and other collectors were runining the hobby. I switched to Lego, lots more supply it seems and people not going all crazy.
I do what I want, film what I want and I don’t let anything control me. If I find rares then the universe decided to bring them my way but if not I’m still breathing oxygen and that’s more important. These other channels that are finding all the time every day are fake and those are never the people I ride with. I enjoy making hot wheel hunt videos but I will never sell out to anyone or anything. I’m always doing these sh!s my way. These supers and rares will try to do they to you but I falling into they trap. Have s great day Sir and be well.
I also don’t do RUclips videos for clout like some of these others do. I do it to provide people with some entertainment and if I’m lucky i can given them a laugh or two. Maybe someone had a bad day and they jump on a video and they forgot about they problems for a bit that’s when my mission is accomplished I subbed out and ima check it out and see what’s up here Sir. I don’t jump in a lot of hot wheels hunt vids cause them people don’t seem legit on anything they do
Sorry guys its brutal out here. I don't know what the channel will become but I am going to focus on making custom diecast.
If it’s a business decision I get it. But if your changing because your not finding chases on majority of your videos, you have misread your audience (or maybe just a few of us). Either way I hope you do amazing and I’m a watcher regardless of chases. Good luck buddy.

It's fucking irritating because the TH DON'T fucking resell for a lot. Holy fuck. Worthless people man
When I found three th's, I left one. I rarely find multiples. Plus I collect and only trade, never resell 😁🤘
its also the buyers. people buy it, they keep scalping. its with anything and everything thats scalped these days. (Edit: buying from scalpers*)

Same here in the Bay Area. Boxes are open before they hit the pegs 99.9% of the time. I even seen grandparents searching! lol
same here in Vancouver Canada...
I'm not giving up hunting. though there are simply to many people and not enough stores. No Kmart, toys r us really hurts.
I had a rough morning I’ll be back at it
You guys have to remember, collecting is all about being patient, if you don't get what your looking for one day, you might get it another day. Sometimes you just need to let the car come to you, you know?
Last time I found a super was in 2021 it was the Datsun 510 I still have it
I just got the Purple Mustang and the Audi last week. They were just sitting in bin when I arrived. It is the employees at the stores that are making the shit suck! They are the ones really sucking everything up! Wmart needs to stop allowing these pricks to pick thru toys while on the job
I can dig it 😁🤘
Couldn't agree more.
You got a good point dude. As much as I love to collect hotwheels, time and money is way important than spending money on crap that I don’t need.
@@JAGhost1502 this
Couldn't agree more.
That guy on RUclips “Naztalgic” fakes all his finds it’s so obvious
I didn’t think about that. It’s RUclips and donations that they are hunting for not hot wheels they bought.
Join the club bub there are a lot of us that agree. The fun for hunting is over.
Oh wow
Yeah, and some so called honest collectors have no issues with going into the stockroom and opening cases.
Pathetic.
This is me everytime I go to stores for some Hot Wheels, its pretty rare the time I get something good
Same I usually go once a week or once every 2 weeks you lose some u win some but it seems like I lose some majority of the time
Our local Walmart is like Death Valley, I haven't seen Johnny Lightning, M2, or Autoworld in months. However they are
well stocked on skateboards, Fast & Furious peg warmers, and others that have been homesteading for months.
I think you should continue dude! I watch for you not for the things you find/don’t find. I hate those pallet raiders and scalpers. They truly ruin the hobby for everyone who has a life
Thanks man!!
Very true 👍
agreed man here in south africa almost everyday theres some raiding all the stores and posting they finds with 10 or more of the same car and not leaving it for the next person
I gave up too. I just walk bye them and if I see something that catches my eye, I'll grab it, but I don't hunt anymore.
7:15 I get what you're saying here and I agree, suspicious for sure!
I feel lucky despite having one store for hunting only, to be the only collector in my whole town.
I only have two stores. Target and Dollar Tree.
I agree with you, it appears that Florida is the only place that gets stuff daily. And those channels that magically happen upon pallets of unopened cases almost every other day.
It's not the collectors it's the resellers!! ( sclapers) client's)
And those who have no issues with being allowed into the stockroom to open cases and take all they want.
To many "collectors". I just call them scalpers.
The problem is faking sells in the current economy. Even the workplace. It’s a side market weakness
It's you get all the stuff or nothing at this moment. I think scalps will start to remove themselves slowly as they see people don't value hot items aren't valued that much in the second market than they think it would be. Be patient and just do what you want to do.
Guess I'm sorry to hear all this, I'm with you on all of it.
I don't look for them anymore, supers don't interest me I would rather put my money into HW Premium, Greenlight, M2 and as for collecting in general, I find a lot of walmart employees are collectors as well and they are the ones getting the pick of the litter so to speak when they put new cases out
Agreed , And just a bonus if you find one
You're lucky to see stock! Where I live the stores have gotten 6 cases since before last Christmas. It's a rural area and we just do not get like pre covid. It was fun to do with my child but 90% of the time the shelves are empty at the local stores.
Agree trying to 'hunt' or even collect anymore is horrible. The last TH I got was in 2008 and never seen a STH other than online. It's depressing and don't even know why I give HW any more of my money anymore.
This can get beyond frustrating especially when the employees are also looking out for those treasure hunts.
Or allowing collectors to go into the stockroom and open cases.
Not good!
It's even worse over here in the UK. Even if you re fist to a box, staff usually strip anything decent before it hits the pegs.
Agree!! It’s so bad now. I don’t even expect to see anything these days! Grrrr
feel the same way. every time i go to the diecast aisle there's at least 1 or 2 collectors already raiding everything
It’s rough out there in the Wild but when you do find treasure its super fun. 😁 congrats on the channel growth man keep going you are close to that sweet 1k mark! 🎉
Awesome collection............. Great casting............ Best wishes from AR Diecast.......
The store workers be holding the good stuff in my area 😒
Or scalpers are paying them off, like in Houston...
Boa noite amigo 😃🇧🇷
I really just started taking an interest in collecting any of these a few weeks ago. I only have a few stores in my area and have visited them every day for three weeks. Two of them haven't even restocked in that time and have a combined total of 7 cars on the pegs between them. The Walmart has had the same stuff on the shelf for two weeks, and the Dollar General only got in one case. I have no idea how/where people are finding the good ones. I am not even hunting for the super treasure hunts, I just want to find specific models and colors from the mainlines.
Literally all I care about are mainlines, and I hardly ever find those
Aren't they available to buy online?
I bought the New Years cars since 2020.. Maybe they will make another..
They have a 2022...the soda pop car with bottle opener rear end. Haven't seen it of course
Great stuff do what u do we enjoy your content it's not about the peg hunt!! Just get out when u can and enjoy the hobby!!
Thank you man that means a lot !
Ah bro same over here in Michigan keep up the vids it’s all good
I am done hunting as well. It’s not worth the gas and time anything good is picked by employees. If I am shopping I will check if I’m already there.
I just gave up here in Maryland. Screw Mattel, it’s their own fault.
I've done the same thing. Done looking. Done collecting. I'll pick up my occasional camper vehicles or broncos but I've done with the hunting.
what helps me is, I go to the store, expecting not to find anything, therefore, when I get there, my hopes are not squashed or smashed, and when I find something it’s usually, decent, I grab it, I pretty much just grab, whatever’s pretty, popular, but don’t get me wrong, not too much meat on that bone nowadays
Seriously doubt anyone is planting cars for content. I know it’s a common practice to fabricate content for more views.
Hang in there buddy! There are a ton of collectors out there for sure last Saturday little Jay and I went to our Target and there was six other collectors with. More people in the Hot Wheels section than the store.🤣🤣👍👍🤙
Thanks my dude !
I agree. They are planting cars for their channels!
Main states to go to. California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Florida, Maryland, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Washington, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Arkansas, Oregon, Pennsylvania and New York. Those are the best in my opinion. .
Seattle is a city in the state of Washington. I'm sure you know that but weird you included a city in a list of states
@@sideopsdiecast8181 I did it again! I meant to say Washington State. Thank you for the reply back!
I live in TX, it’s scalper HQ. May want to remove Texas from this list 👍
The only TH's I find are the fantasy ones!
I will miss your hunting videos buddy. I get what you saying also. I haven't found a super treasure hunt in over 3 years and I haven't found any of this years chase cars from the car culture series and there are other hot wheels out there in years past or this year that I haven't found but none of that is going to stop me from going hot wheels hunting and collecting hot wheels as long as I can keep finding new hot wheels at the stores to bring home to add to my hot wheels collection I will keep going out hot wheels hunting and I will be collecting hot wheels for the rest of my life.👍
"Fallen Soldier" deserves a r.i.p.
Most of the time its like that, gotta go late at night when the pallets come out
The problem is the scalping.
Im lucky if I can find one STH in a calendar year and that's only happened 4 times since late 2018
Ive decided that I would much rather just look for stuff in certain parameters or groups.
I know what you mean thank you for the video
I just started to watch the video and I'm already on board to what you're saying a lot of collectors and uncooperative employees that hate what we do
Scalpers and customizers ruined the hobby, not the actual collectors, the collectors get what we need and leave the rest for others. Scalpers take everything and expect to become rich after a couple months selling at ridiculous prices and customizers buy all of one type of car and make it almost impossible without going through a scalper to complete sets.
Man I sold my collection a few times over this I just take whatever I get now hard running into people hiding in the corner with 5 cases
Got to get them
Cases first . Watch for pallets hehe you go looking hell even asks employee of they have any
I've been collecting since the mid 90's, mostly Matchbox but some HotWheels too.
I'm just getting started, as of 10/31/22.
I’m still hunting just have a different mindset now. .
It gets really old
Thanks for keeping it real man.
Maybe someone had a bad day and they jump on a video and they forgot about they problems for a bit that’s when my mission is accomplished
I subbed out and ima check it out and see what’s up here Sir.
I don’t jump in a lot of hot wheels hunt vids cause them people don’t seem legit on anything they do
I think they are planting as well, I won't mention names but I have felt the same.
