Saban learned from playing Clemson that a not-so-obvious pick play won't get called in the modern era. That second touchdown should have been called back, and the Tide would've scored anyways. But still, run those pick routes, and you'll trip up defenders all day.

Gotta believe he was livid, thinking Florida has got to have something better drawn up within the goal line package vs dang-on Alabama in a 2 point game. Malik Davis looked really good in this one. They should use him more often. 9.6 yards per attempt against Alabama's defense is INSANE. Seems like he's never really had a shot but I love how he breaks so many tackles and simply refuses to go down. He doesn't exactly have blazing speed, but he's certainly not a slow back either.
Give Florida they deserve and put them up there with the teams that could compete and possibly beat alabama/georgia. Even though Bama had some key players out. Florida had there biggest playmaker out that game. They could easily/probably will win every game or lose 1 game the rest of the season.

I appreciate your football knowledge and can tell you watch football games. Also UF was missing a LB arguably their best tackler too. A lot of issues or mistakes on both sides and both good teams gave us a good game to watch.
This turned out to be a helluva game. It's was mostly a grind out finish, but it was great to see UF's coaches and players figure out Bama's schemes on both sides of the ball and flip the game around. It was equally cool to watch these QBs settle down and make plays. Bama looked good on stopping UF on the 2-pt conversion and their last score.
This game might’ve not seemed significant when it happened, but looking back 3 years later. Bama has not been the same dominant Bama since this game. They looked extremely mortal in this game and they’ve looked mortal ever since. This game was a turning point in my opinion.

The 2 pt attempt felt awkward. I think Play action or instead of having both the Qb and Rb have the ball in each other’s hand, I feel like a different way could’ve been better. Before anyone says that was the play call having both players hold the ball could’ve been a great way to bait the defense, I know that I’m just saying.

Saban learned from playing Clemson that a not-so-obvious pick play won't get called in the modern era. That second touchdown should have been called back, and the Tide would've scored anyways. But still, run those pick routes, and you'll trip up defenders all day.

I would love to know what Dan Mullen was yelling at his OC at 13:42 after the read option was called for the 2pt attempt that failed. Gotta believe he was livid, thinking Florida has got to have something better drawn up within the goal line package vs dang-on Alabama in a 2 point game. To be fair to the OC, the read option had them rolling in the second half! Great game all around!!!

Malik Davis looked really good in this one. They should use him more often. 9.6 yards per attempt against Alabama's defense is INSANE. Seems like he's never really had a shot but I love how he breaks so many tackles and simply refuses to go down. He doesn't exactly have blazing speed, but he's certainly not a slow back either.

Give Florida they deserve and put them up there with the teams that could compete and possibly beat alabama/georgia. Even though Bama had some key players out. Florida had there biggest playmaker out that game. They could easily/probably will win every game or lose 1 game the rest of the season.
I like your style man competent and not an insecure Bama fan. It's ok to say what you said it is no slight on Bama and your team won. I appreciate your football knowledge and can tell you watch football games. Also UF was missing a LB arguably their best tackler too. A lot of issues or mistakes on both sides and both good teams gave us a good game to watch.

Watching this after the season is bittersweet. We always have the best games against Bama but this was the beginning of the end of the Dan Mullen era

This turned out to be a helluva game. It's was mostly a grind out finish, but it was great to see UF's coaches and players figure out Bama's schemes on both sides of the ball and flip the game around. It was equally cool to watch these QBs settle down and make plays. Bama looked good on stopping UF on the 2-pt conversion and their last score.

This game might’ve not seemed significant when it happened, but looking back 3 years later. Bama has not been the same dominant Bama since this game. They looked extremely mortal in this game and they’ve looked mortal ever since. This game was a turning point in my opinion.

The 2 pt attempt felt awkward. I think Play action or instead of having both the Qb and Rb have the ball in each other’s hand, I feel like a different way could’ve been better. Before anyone says that was the play call having both players hold the ball could’ve been a great way to bait the defense, I know that I’m just saying.

It was an option but for some reason he held the ball, he was trying to suck them in but he should’ve pull it and ran since the defense crashed inside
He probably would have been in trouble had the qb kept the ball. Now if you gave it to the running back immediately I think he had a better hole and would have a better head esteem

Jones's and the rest of the run game kept Bama honest which allowed Florida to stay in the game.

Bama fan here, great game, but when the announcer said Alabama survived the Gators, I lost it. We were up the entire game, like what does he mean, we got to 21-3 and we got complacent against a great team.

As much talent and depth as Bama have on defense, it hurts watching missed tackle after missed tackle all game long. Florida played an incredible game and it was exciting to watch though.
