I saw Slaughter with Winger open for KISS on that tour and I remember what a visual drummer he was. Great stage presence and the stick twirling was great. One of his bass drums up behind him read "This Space For Rent." Thought that was kinda funny. And, he hasn't aged. Right on, Blas.
I caught a drumstick from him at The Button South in Lauderdale Fl. After the show I met some of the dudes in Slaughter the band and they signed it. Every one was very nice and cool. Man I miss them Times!
Blas you were literally in the first band I ever saw live opening for KISS on the Hot in the Shade tour. You guys killed it. One minute you're on my sister's wall on a poster and the next you guys are rocking out on stage. Magical times. Thank you.
Saw this show at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Somehow, I accidentally saw Faster Pussycat 3 times that year! haha! They opened for Whitesnake that year too... Whitesnake had Steve Vai filling in.
i saw slaughter twice on tour, even met them when they got off the bus. they were so nice. anyways amazing drummer! The only one I can compare him to is Alex Van helen
I got to meet Mark slaughter and the band in 1993. I saw them play at harpos. I was off meds. I got hammer. They walk pass me didn't know. I talk about in my book life goes on. They were nice.
Blas came to my town with Stephen Pearcy eight weeks ago. He was playing with Pearcy the night after Slaughter played in my town. I was hanging with Slaughter before the show, and was told to go to the hotel (literally a walk from the venue), and wait for them there after the show. Mark Slaughter and Dana Strum were talking with me in the entrance--I suggested going to the lobby, but they said the entrance was fine--and then they told me Blas was on his way in, so I got to see those three reunited. The congregation did move to the lobby, and I spent about an hour with them; it was Mark's birthday, there were two cakes...Slaughter's current drummer, Jordan Cannata, was there, and Erik Ferentinos and Johnny Monaco from Pearcy's band came by later. Jason Green was there, too. I stayed until Jeff Blando finally showed up. He had family waiting there for him, but he had been hanging out with hometown friends after the show first--Jordan told me Blando didn't ride back to the hotel with the band. I talked with Blando a little; said what I wanted to say, and the guys headed up to their rooms, and I left. The next night, after the Pearcy gig, I hung out with Blas for a little bit again right at the venue, and also spoke with Pearcy and Jaron Gulino and Gabriel Colon from Lynch Mob (they opened). I first met Blas on one of those early tours (he mentioned Ted Nugent, but it was actually a Damn Yankees tour), and hadn't seen him in all those years in between, although I had spoken with him on social media in that time. Good guy.
I saw that 1990 tour on back to back nights. Kiss was my absolute favorite at the time and Slaughter was in my top 3 at the time, it was amazing. I think I saw Slaughter again open for Poison but I'm not 100% sure.
When Slaughter was opening for KISS during the"HitS" tour, the Nova Scotia show got cancelled because Paul Stanley fell off the stage during a previous show (New Brunswick?). However, everyone came to Halifax anyway and Slaughter (along with Winger) still did their record store appearances to meet the fans. I still have my autographed copy of "Guitar For the Practicing Musician" where Blas wrote "drums rule". (R.I.P. Tim Kelly)
I’ve met Blas-great, down to earth guy. Good drummer, too. Funny thing I never realized until now...he looks like Larry Mullen Jr. (U2) with long hair!
BLAS! With Slaughter! Ah, yes! Big sound! Big production.....and....BIG STICKS!! Who can forget his huge drum sticks! If I remember correctly, Blas has Huge Hands! So he used much larger sticks! Rock on, Blas!
I wish all these aging rockers from back in the day would all make videos or movies of their experiences.. imagine hearing some of the trouble they got into.. or avoided
Remember seeing Slaughter several years ago. Blas was and still is an awesome drummer. Still looks young as ever!
That dude has barely aged at all. He is one of the few that looks like he did 30 years ago.
It helps to have be 20 at that time
@@TotalSinging God that's young
True
lol no dude, he tints his hair

I met Blas once in 1995. One of the nicest people you could ever meet.
Still a class act after all these years!!
You can tell he has taken care of himself over the years looks great, sounds great.

Kiss slaughter and winger!! 1990 Portland Maine!!! I was In 7th grade! Kiss’s only tour without makeup!
Saw Slaughter with Kiss and Faster Pussycat in Evansville, IN. Awesome show!
@David Alan Deaton I saw this show twice but it was Danger Danger and Slaughter opening. I saw Pussycat twice with Motley on the Dr. Feelgood tour.

He was the drummer of ‘Blood Pollution’ in the Rock Star movie.

One of my favorite drummers. You motivated me to learn bud. Glad you’re still rocking!!!
One of my all-time favourite music videos to watch is Mad About You and it is mostly because the drums scenes, the drums and the drummer are 🔥.
Greetings to my neighbor Blas Elias in Las Vegas hugs brother🤙🥁🤙👍!!!
This guy does not age!
Blas kicks ass! Always the man! "THIS SPACE FOR RENT"!
Hearing that slaughter record was why I switched to rock drumming back then
One of the best debut albums of all time.

One of my favorite drummers and I’m usually a death metal only kinda guy.🤘

Huge Slaughter fan and cool interview! I wonder if he ever rented the space??? (Its a joke lol)
Good to see you again, bud !🤓🌃!
I'm a Vegas local; I'll look out for ya.
Damn i never knew he was in the Blue Man Group
Didn’t recognize him? 😂
Gorgeous man❤❤❤❤

I remember the "space for rent" on his base drums !
He looks the same like in 80s. 😲 He never aged.
I guess he just has naturally good looks and good genetics. And he probably didn't do a lot of drugs like most 80's rockers did.
@@dowens3781 😊👌
Lindo sempre 😍👏👏😍
what a nice person.

Good dude.

Blue Man Group ftw
is it just me or it feels weird to see a rockstar with zero tattoos?!
not pro/against, just strange these days.
slaughter rocks!
was doing some research on my town and came to find out he’s from the town i live in now
It sounds just like the tape, man!
Slaughter is the best hard rock band in the world.
I am shocked that he did not mention the movie Rockstar
Blas Elias is the best hard rock Drummer in the world.
Slaughter. lol. What a name.

He studied at North Texas state... yeah he's serious
Always thought he was amazing in Slaughter
“We got a record deal with Chrysalis.” 😂 You STOLE a record deal with Chrysalis 😜
I thought he was Sebastian Bach!
Really? Have you seen Bach lately?
No tattoos? Cool!!
Looks The Same Has Not Aged Much.
Great drummer and Slaughter were talented musicians, but their sound was too polished and pop-ish and their image was too glam.
