I haven’t used the gm lens but I have the Sony f2.5 g 50mm and that is a great lens. I can’t really tell a big difference between the two. I like them both. For me it just comes down to if I feel like using a manual that day or not. The image quality out of both lenses are great.
You will never get the benfit of using a manual focus APO lens the way you are operating. I am not criticising your photography, but your technique of using a super high resolution manual lens on an AF digital body. You are not the only one BTW. There are thousands who have bought 60 MP Leica M cameras and $7000.0 Leica APO lenses and use the camera the same way, the wrong way.
#1 & 2 are awesome. They both emit a different mood that's unique to the photo.
