This feels like the Szoboszlai deal where we had to sort it before the expiry date of his release clause. I hope we get him but there’s comfort either way given the fact that we will have an answer by the end of today.

Although it was understood that the sale of 1 player didn't cover them for PSR it did confirm Gordon wouldn't go, as 1x sale @ Gordon's value would have covered them.

Not sure if anyone has talked about it but Angelo préciado from Sparta might be a good rb to cover for taa if he moves into midfield. He was solving against us and solid in most cases I’ve seen him with high energy and good defensive work rate

Guaranteed he won't be signed nor will any of the other big names banded about like Rodrygo olise or anyone who can't be bought for a steal. I think a lot of it is just spin so fans are grateful for any signing that's made. The club has a sporting director an executive director and a lot of analysts like spearman. Trophies aren't won by data and analysis but by players on the pitch. I don't buy in to all this Edwards is some godlike figure.

We signed szobozlai for 65m last year and Nunez for 70+ the year before. So yes we do spend big but spending 100m on Gordon will be ridiculous.
He’s worth £40 million and not a penny more.

Can we do a deal for both Gordon and Issak ? Issak is a very dangerous striker. Issak is a far superior player to Nunez. £120-135m for both of them. Get approx 70 for Diaz and its Viable. Thats if Issak is Not London Powered.

They didn’t pimp him out it was explored if we couldn’t sell anyone for PSR we would have to with one of the big hitters so we need a CB and they liked Liverpools so tried it. And more then anything it was a PR stunt as the fans didn’t want us to sell the young players so now will say we sold the young guns to save the big hitters

He looks a good player good shooting passing ability he doesn’t look as quick on the ball as Diaz but he’s not bad at dribbling far from it if we can get him for no more than 70 million I’d be happy
He is miles faster than Diaz. In the top 10 fastest players last season

Diaz and Gordon could rotate on that flank. That's if Diaz is not keen on moving to Barca...
Mediocre players such as Curtis and Elliott should move on and entitled players as Trent who has failed to work on his weaknesses to a complete player should also see the door. Up to this point Trent has been a liability. He doesn't contribute in defence and all he wants to do is to play long balls and big diagonal. He doesn't mix it up.
Salah should be on his last season and his replacement should be brought it this season so that there are no hiccups going forward.
@@ncedisafeni351 interesting I respectfully disagree I think Diaz should leave if we get Gordon I don’t see him starting over him if he comes Diaz doesn’t produce enough goals or assists he’s a liability I think mediocre players like Elliott (who I don’t think is mediocre he’s way better than Jones) and Jones are the backbone of a solid team look at our title winning team who did we have on the bench ? James Milner why ? He’s reliable and moves the ball well both do that and I think Trent is too talented to move on he needs to be moved into midfield I think he’d thrive there being comfortable enough to attack without thinking of defending more often
