I have never used the frozen gobo but I am sure the flavor maybe very similar. Not sure about the texture since it has been frozen already. If you don't like cutting, you can also shave it with the shaver. If you use the frozen one, just follow the same recipe without the cutting part. Let me know how it turns out.
