Hi Dawn! What a beautiful greenhouse you have! Like and appreciate the talents, creativity, and hard work you and your hubby share with us! Thank you as the seasons begin to change so quickly, we need you to help us keep up with them.
You have the most beautiful greenhouse I've seen on youtube videos. Love it. Sometimes folks have these huge greenhouses and it takes a lot to make them look inviting. The lighting is perfect, how beautiful that must be in the evening. Thank you for sharing.
You have such a beautiful greenhouse! I love that you added the bird of paradise from Erin, The Impatient Gardner. I enjoy her channel too. I was so tickled watching you rescue the bee.
Fantastic review and always love seeing your greenhouse. Really enjoyed seeing the shade cloth system how you've got set up. I ended up adding 2 additional roof vents, 2 side vents and an exhaust system and it's only 10x12 so I"m hoping I might be able to avoid the shade cloth - we'll see! You reminded me I can finally (I hope) get a larger indoor tree as I cant have indoor plants with my cats (they eat the puke :(). Thx again. So lovely and I bet your friends love dining there with you!
Hello!! Thanks so much for watching!! Sounds like you have a ton of great ventilation. You’ll have to remind me where you are? Let me know if all of that helps. If by chance you need to just shade an area of your greenhouse, you could pop up and umbrella in there and provide shade. That would be super easy. Sounds like your kitty might need some oat grass to chew on!! I finally got some thing large in here, and it’s so cool! 😊
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn Hi Dawn, I'm about 40 minutes north of San Francisco on the coast. So we get relatively mild weather, but can be foggy and with brisk (biting at times) wind. I can't grow tomatoes, peppers - anything that needs consistent sun as it's too cold year round. Im so excited to be able to grow crops in the greenhouse! But it will also be an area for entertaining as well. Im getting soooo excited! An umbrella to shade a few things within the greenhouse might be a perfect solution :) Thx again for your great info on your greenhouse! :)
I really like your greenhouse. I bring in my geraniums too and put them in my dining room bay window. I wish I could save my pink mandevilla vine and euphorbia container because it is just gorgeous. I saved my dahlias, cannas, acidanthera. Bonny
I am going to overwinter my Meyer Lemon. Would you recommend I keep it in my brand new greenhouse (with a small heater) or bring it in the house. This will be my first winter with the greenhouse so I am just learning what I can do with it. I am in Michigan 6A. Thank you! I love your garden and channel!
Thanks so much! Meyer Lemons like temps ideally between 50 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. However colder temps likely won’t kill it but it won’t be super happy. If you can keep temps inside the greenhouse from dropping too far below 40 at night you’ll be ok. If not I’d bring her inside.
Hi Dawn, my greenhouse will be here in a few weeks and getting ready. I was curious where you got the crystals you've hung to discourage the birds from flying into the glass? And have you felt they were needed (sometimes wonder if sparkly things might attract?). Appreciate all the tips. Getting so excited! Of course I've got just about every inch mapped out and full, and it's not even here, lol! Thx again!
I ordered this from Etsy (Tree Jewelry Garden Art). We absolutely needed these. Birds cannot see the glass and our greenhouse sits in the middle of our 7 acre prairie. We have tons of wildlife and birds. If birds see a reflection they avoid it. It is must if you have birds.
@@SeasonalDesignsbyDawn Thx sooooo. much! I really appreciate. In spite of knowing this about birds, it would have been an oversight had I not seen you putting yours up. Thx you. The greenhouse will overlook a canyon going down the bay. We have a ton of birds in our area. Thx again!
We hit with a gas burning fireplace, as well as Biogreen Phoenix electric heater. biogreen-products.com/products/greenhouse-heater-2800-w-9554-btus-with-manual-thermostat-phoenix
Love your videos Dawn! Question: are the shade cloths just regular painters tarps or are they a special sort of cloth? You're design has given me some ideas on how to salvage our greenhouse. Unfortunately it is sitting in an exposed area and even with our best ventilation efforts, we literally bake the plants that are in there. We just need something that will protect them from the hot sun in the west. It gets cold in the Montana mountains, but that sun zaps them in no time! Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you so much. Ours are shade curtains made out of a cotton polyester blend. I don’t grow in here in summer so July August and September. But we still use those curtains to keep it cooler. You might want to consider a shade cloth which offers varying degrees of sun blockage. You can still hang it the same way. I find that using the shade curtains did help! Good luck!!

Thank you so much!! How nice of you to say that 😊
Yours is the most beautiful greenhouse ever! I love it.
Thanks so much 😊
Thanks for sharing Dawn. Beautiful things made the cut. Love the sparkle for the birds. I will have to keep that in mind.
Thank you so much! Hope you’ve been well and had a good gardening season!

Nice Bonny you save a lot!!
Love that green house! So beautiful at dusk.❤
Thank you !! It does seem magical at night.
Lovely! The pink begonias are beautiful! What variety are they and where did you get the seeds from?
Thank you. Those I purchased as small annual plants from a local garden center and they had no tags.
